People need to know that the base Voyager 1700 is a totally exceptional bike. Rest assured that you are getting a top tier motorcycle that surprises you. Not only in quality of construction, but in total confidence on the road. Power, linked ABS, comfort, and storage that fits my 2X helmet in the top case. Pllus my WHOLE motorcycle jacket AND my Helite airbag vest in ONE side case. Mountain twisties can be done in 3rd gear only all day long, no awkward shift points. Harleys being made in the USA is 100% "Had to lay er' down" gray beard mythology. They are not. I came from a GL1800 Gold Wing. I would never trade back. Just buy it.
It's a good bike... but it does need the ECU flashed... www.ivansperformanceproducts.com It is a jerky bike at slow speed/low rpm from the factory. The flash is a must.
The problem with Japanese bikes is their resale value. Buy a top of the line Japanese bikes and a few yrs later it's worth less than a 10 yr old Sportster. That is the only reason I don't buy one. I've owned 11 Harley Davidson motorcycles over the yrs and never lost money at selling time. The good thing about Japanese bikes besides they run good is you can get a super deal on a used one.
@@ronrobertson59 That's actually a big advantage for cost conscious motorcycle buyers. Most japanese bike models have long production runs, so you can usually buy the same bike that's a few years old for a lot less money. I paid $5500 for my Voyager.
This is not just a "Better Value" than ANY Harley Davidson, but it is an IMMENSELY BETTER MOTORCYCLE than ANY Harley Davidson! I've owned and ridden both Harley's and the Kawasaki Voyager (I have one now) and the Kawasaki IS BY FAR a MUCH BETTER MOTORCYCLE than ANY Harley I've ever ridden. The Kawasaki is MUCH MORE DEPENDABLE, requires a LOT LESS Maintenance and Repairs, and is a GREAT RIDE, at probably HALF of the cost of a Harley! The Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager IS HANDS DOWN BETTER than any Harley Road King, Street Glide, etc.!
The Voyager is a nice ride and a great value. There is a point of diminishing value from a market perspective though. Just curious though, what year is your bike? Have you compared the current resell value for your bike as compared to the same year Road Glide / Street Glide?
That's a 13... not a reseller, probably keep this one bc it does everything I want and then some... of course in the past HD has maintained resale values.... but the market seems to be changing... the days of over retail for a HD may be coming to an end... and the market is flooded with used HD bikes... id imagine a typical 2013 new would have been around 16k to 17k out the door.... selling the 13 stock bike with 20k miles $7000... depreciation of $800 (5%-10%) a year... maybe. Total cost of ownership makes a metric a winner. The Kaw doesn't require expensive maintenance.. oil changes and ride... cheaper insurance... less property taxes.
Have you flashed the ECU? I read online the voyager is big and slow but the ECU flash changes that. Im thinking of switching from my Goldwing and dont want to regret power/speed loss
My Nomad is 20 years old with 30,000 miles and looks, rides and runs AWESOME!!

My Nomad is 23 yrs old 15,000 + miles looks and runs like new, love it!
Of course it looks new you don't ride it, it is parked in your garage.
That's only 650 miles a year! I put more than that on My Voyager in week.
She's a beauty..

Thanks! It has been fun and pretty easy.

It's flashed... Goldwings are nice though...
I have a question. What brand is your dash cam. Do you have videos of example . How it looks . Thank you
Vsysmoto pf6 from amazon... newer model out now
In one of my vids is dash cam footage... it has audio capabilities as well... but where mine is mounted, it restricts the audio.
Good evening! Can you tell me where I can purchase the rear signal light setup? I have a 12 vn1700 Voyager
The signal bar is a Kuryakyn... can't remember the part #.. I know it's been discontinued for a few years...
do you have names or links for some of your mods? specifically the read tail light setup
The bar is a Kuryakyn light bar
@@metricOIL wow pricey Not for $380 cdn LOL
guess I have to find the original insert for my 09 voyager as where the screew is, broke
Se viesse para o Brasil, seria um páreo duro para a HD.
А где же звук выхлопа?
Other vid may have some sound
Do those bikes come with a fork brace?
They do not
How is the sound of the engine why did you not start it at all
Check out some other vids... probably towards the end... most have ezhaust notes.. my most recent does for sure.
who makes the chrome radiator cover
Highway Hawk out of Europe...
When you installed those handlebars, did you have to adjust any cables or wires?
I added steel brake lines and about 3 or 4 inches to each..
Where and who makes the turn signal assembly?
Rear is a kuryakyn bar..
Are you kidding, this may be a better bargain when you buy it new, but for resale, when it comes to Harleys, there is an ass for every seat
I buy a bike to keep it.... stock Market is for investments.... bikes are for depreciation.
How to ruin a bike tutorial.
Yep... Ruined!! 😆
