- I absolutely love doing Autosolos. Basically a high speed timed slalom through cones on a motor circuit or carpark. My Mini JCW Roadster is absolutely brilliant at them, winning 2 of the last 3 I have entered. This time however I thought I would see what my Mini JCW Clubman was like at them.
More power and four wheel drive BUT much bigger and much heavier. We were blessed with lovely weather and it was great to be back a Goodwood again. Could Charlie really be any good...

Pedro, one of the best videos you've made and I mean that as a real compliment as all your videos are superb. I've marshalled at Auto Solos and they are a great day out. Very affordable motorsport. How about putting up a link of how to get involved as an entrant. A Q&A session of the rules, regs, do's and don'ts would be good. I would love to bring my wife's fiesta to Goodwood and autosolo it. Brilliant mate.

Great video. Having been there watching, you really captured the day. Good fun watching all the different cars and you end up cheering on your favourites. Interesting watching the bog standard Mondeo going round that I assumed belonged to a double glazing salesman.

Fair play, that looks like great craic.
Across the pond, we call this autocross. I used to do these with the Trillium BMW club in Toronto. Great fun and practice at car control. Look where you want to go! Was the school slogan. I ran an e30 325 wagon, which was an import to Canada not sold when new. You would try to find the balance of being as smooth as possible then dance on the edge a bit to rotate when necessary. A few of the Miats club guys would show us how it's done. Cheers.

Congratulations on that class win, and also on the best promo video I have ever seen on Autosolo. As you have stated it is the best fun at minimum cost, and should be tried by all. Also thanks for mentioning the Marshalls, as we know~ no Marshalls no motor sport.🤗🤗 Brings back memories of an Autosolo I did in my Morgan Plus 8, did not win anything ( wrong car really ) but the bruises on my tight arm were black and painful for a week!😥

We were holding our breath for you on course 1. That looked so tight to get around. Must be very difficult with a paddle gearbox. Absolutely brilliant though. Well done to Charlie Clubman 👍

Just ordered my jcw clubman for end may 21 in British racing green and malt brown interior! Love 💕 the test car 🚗 I drove in chill red ! Only thing I didn’t like is the ASD don’t want 🤯 booming false sounds in the car ! Any ideas 💡 folk s thanks 🙏 great channel I have watched all of the utube shies great vids 👍👍

Love an autosolo - did loads in my old mx5 but know I have a choice of an R52 (Cooper not S) or my wife’s tuned up 1.6 Fezza - could be interesting- FWD!😉

As a person who used to ski race, may I say I am jealous and want to find a course like this in the States! I have tried to describe the feeling when you pop out of turn and how I miss it.......no one who hasn't raced gets it......but I bet folks who do this might. Of course hitting the cone with a car has a different effect than hitting a gate with your ski......let's just say concussion. And in skiing it is called DNF (did not finish) when you wipe out in the course or hit/miss the gate. (PS MY JCW 2015 Roadster arrives tomorrow!)

For months every deal fell through and I had about given up hope of finding a Roadster (mini or audi) when I found one that with 13k miles looks brand new and was fairly priced. The driver who is bringing it from Kansas (10 hours away) should be here in the next couple hours. I feel like a kid on Christmas.

The i30N would be good at it. I don’t bother with insurance as the risk is very low.

@5:41 shows more than anything I can say about the pure adrenalin rush of Autosolo. It seems bonkers to say that it’s not possible to control your hand after just one minute of driving, but I have been competing in these Autosolos for over 5 years now & the shakes get me every time. There is no bigger or better buzz than Autosolo (even when Smug Mr. TH-cam beats me)!
