    What do you use for power on your cart? Does your machine require 220 volt? If so what do you use to convert it to 110 volt?

    Change shower screen will be like that ? I have screen like that but doesn’t work like your video . Is that should open the inside to fix pressure bar. ?

    So the LM baskets that come with the machine are precision baskets, 14, 17, 18, 21 I believe. Am I understanding the VST baskets are better?

      VST is known for paying greater attention to detail with their products. This upgrade isn’t necessary to mke good rating coffee. However if you want to geek out, this will be a good start.

    I own this linea mini in white and have been considering getting it painted matte black, Where did you get yours done or did you buy it this way? BTW i have been rocking those upgrades for about 4 yrs. They def helped me pull better shots with less channelling on average. I just plumbed mine in yesterday and added a BEst Flex Head water filter also :)

    Hi brother.
    Great video.
    I own LM Linea Mini as well. Could you share when to get the shower screen replaced? What is the time after the shower screen needs to be replaced.
    I make 2 to 3 cups daily from my machine.
    Thank you in advance.

      Clean it every couple months. You really only need to replace it if it looks broken down. The gasket will also eventually stop sealing and that needs replaced too

      Hey, I’m not sure why. Try contacting them, they are nice people and very helpful. Mine stoped flowing evenly and about a year.

      I actually switched back to the original because it’s more affordable to replace.

    Have no idea if I need tha dispersion screen upgrade on my gs3. Do you think it is a must have upgrade?

    • @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista
      @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jason Mak Jason Mak hey man thanks for watching. Not at all, the screen is just extra. I do however recommend the VST Precision Filter Basket. : )

      Thanks for the quick reply! I actually got the strada 17g basket and a bottomless pf from scg. From the reviews ive read its an upgrade from the stock baskets that come with the gs3/lmlm. Do you know anything about the strada baskets? I am tempted to order the vst now LOL. I still dont have my machine as its coming in december but i purchased the little stuff first like the a couple of la marzocco cups from their website, acaia lunar and a brewista.

      Love your channel btw! Hope you post vids of your pop up events as I am planning on doing the same thing with my gs3 later on! :)

      Thanks for the kind words, it really means a lot. : )
      We are currently working on 3 different videos. my next project is to plumb in our Linea Mini. Congrats on your purchase! I couldn’t wait to receive mine while it was being bench tested... no need to purchase the BST basket if you have the Strada filter basket; La Marzocco actually teamed up with VST to produce the Strada filter basket. : )

    you said that with the quartz screen, backflushing is not recommended. Does that mean you must remove the screen everytime you are doing a backflush?

    • @rpok0124
      @rpok0124 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kelvin Wong only if you are backflushing with detergent. If backflushing with plain water, you need not remove the IMS screen

    Are you still running the coffee cart? How’s the machine holding up?

      Hi, we are temporarily not in business but hope to resume once the shutdown is over. The Linea Mini is fantastic, not a single part had to be replaced so far. We’ve been using it for home and pop pups since 2017!

  • @cujero

    Do you remove the screen Everytime you want to do a back flush?

    • @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista
      @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there, thanks for checking in. Great question, I don’t always remove the screen for back flush. I do however remove the screen and clean it after each gig. Most times it doesn’t really need to be cleaned, but it feels good knowing that it is... it’s really easy todo and doesn’t take much time.

    • @surfingbluerose

      But do you have to remove the screen doing a back flush if it’s the slayer quarts I think you’ve mentioned in the video. Thanks!

  • @Fluterra

    Why don’t you increase your cup clearance by getting a recessed Acaia Pearl drip tray?

    • @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista
      @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fluterra I would love to have that setup! But that’s almost a $500 upgrade. We recently changed our Portafilter to a bottomless one to increase clearance and purchased the Brewista Smart Scale 2. This setup is working great for us.

    Was up Napo,just wondered why you call the precision screen the slayer screen ,since it is an IMS screen ?

    • @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista
      @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there, the screen is manufactured by IMS, but it was specifically made for Slayer espresso machines. I just found out a few days ago that they have a Quartz Coated dispersion screen for La Marzocco as well. However, most commercial grade espresso machines have the same or similar size group head. I purchased mine from Prima Coffee. Here's the link: prima-coffee.com/equipment/slayer/46000-50073.
      Thanks for commenting : )

      I got you.I contacted the IMS today and asked them, if using a detergent while back flushing could damage the screen ,their answer was no, as long as the detergent is recommended for the machine .I am using an IMS for E61 ,and back flushing with Urnex Full Circle ,but I guess yours has extra coating...

    • @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista
      @NapoleonRinconHomeBarista  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cool! thanks for gathering that information. In Prima Coffee's review of the screen, they say not to back flush with detergent. I take IMS advice over Prima. Thanks again!

      NP man , I know, I saw that review and that is why i wanted to ask the IMS ,but I believe the IMS screens for E61 screens are not Teflon coated as the one you have ...

      Roel Aguilar Mi gente! It’s worth every penny. Check imsfiltri.com to see if they have one specifically for your machine. If I can do it again, I’ll buy the screen they have for LM and not Slayer.

    • @RXAR1234
      @RXAR1234 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      La Marzocco, Synesso, Slayer and Kees van der Western, basically all the big players in the specialty coffee world take the same IMS shower screen (interchange). They just get it rebranded from IMS as a third party house brand!!! Saludos y Pa'lante...

      Yeah you right. This screen fits like a glove. I want to try all of them. lol
