The Warmies Dive 1 | 2 May 2019 | Low visibility but plenty of life

Diving in "The Warmies" has been a goal from the outset. Far from glamorous but of great interest for us and we are sure for the many people who fish, walk past, ride past, launch there boat from there.
Low visibility, tough and somewhat dangerous conditions for divers mean that an ROV can go where divers won't shouldn't or don't. We have provided the video in a fairly raw form so that you can experience it as we did. If you are a scientist or citizen scientist maybe you can identify things we haven't and provide some feedback. We have submitted two species from this dive to iNaturalist.org.
Yes, we did encounter some fishing line but when you consider the amount of fishing that this spot attracts there was very little of this. It is a dangerous place for volunteers to dive for cleanup and we think the anglers know to keep off the bottom here, this video shows why.
