Fun fact, that guy who did the narration in A Christmas Story is actually the author of the book that the movie is based on. He also has a cameo appearance as the guy who tells the kids to go to the end of the line. My favorite line of his is "So help me god, he had yellow eyes!" Cracks me up every time.

3am crowd what up....1951 Christmas Carol is the best! so much classic acting and film verasimilitude that holds up...the grinch counts (short film if nothing else). Night before is incredible. Such a pleasant surprise. It's a wonderful life is one of my favorite films regardless of subcategory. My mom was an educator for 30 years and never saw nightmare before Christmas though I saw it first in school during the holidays growing up - loved it and so do I! it's fantastic.

It's hard to get to the theater because of child care. Nobody wants a baby in the theater, I don't want to take my baby into the theater, and you've got to use your babysitting opportunities wisely. Also, the idea of switching off falls down in practice because it can be hard to have time the whole family is together in the first place, so cutting into that has to be handled thoughtfully.

I was a Theater nut my Whole Life. You must be willing to sacrifice nearly all your vices and hobbies for your children. I only see a handful a films a year in theaters. TV is hard because I don't want my kids watching violence, so that limits My TV Time or Video Games for kids bedtime.
