We stayed 3 days in Sofia. At the Rocentro hotel well located in the city center. It's not luxury, but it's ok. To give an idea of ​​the price, it was €30 per room, so €15/person with twin beds. And yes it was a trip between friends this time.
We rented a car for the rest of the trip. Be careful to park in Sofia, we were fooled from the first day by taking a beautiful clog (15€ to remove it). Street spaces are charged from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Basically it is better to park in a private car park.
2. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral free for entry.
5. To find the ruins of serdica just look for the serdika metro station. You can start in front of the statue of Saint Sophia. The ruins are scattered all around over several hectares.
8. Rotunda Saint-Georges. Free admission. Photos prohibited inside. Café Rotonda next door nice for a lunch break.
14. Boyana Church €5 entry. Photos prohibited inside ;(. Open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Taxi to reach the Church from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral: 7.5€ (15 leva)
15. Boyana Waterfall. 1h30 walk (sloping) to the waterfall.
