The traditional rugs at 5:20 that I agree seem a little Peruvian are actually with traditional Bulgarian patterns. These patterns are called shevitsi (plural, singular is shevitsa). In the past Bulgarians believed that different types of patterns carried a different type of energy and having more of certain patterns at home would bring you more of that energy. These are also found on traditional clothing. Btw the traditional shop owner was initially going to overcharge you but felt guilty and that's why the price of the pot you bought was that much cheaper. You weren't overcharged at any point throughout this video. I don't know why I felt as uncomfortable watching the video as i did but it was wholesome in a way how you and the locals managed to get along without understanding each other. The store that selling classical traditions stuff is wonderful, all his stuff are hand made and the prices very cheap ..... i love handmade things they represent quality, origins, history, hard efforts to be made ......

WOW I see this market has got a serious revamp and face lift even right down to the footpaths, for years the footpaths were all broken up and very dangerous for tourists wandering around sight seeing and tripping over . The market wasn't at all busy in this video but back in the day when I used to visit it was a great bustleing market on a busy day absolutley packed with stalls selling great fruit and veg, nuts, flowers, clothes, tools, bric a brac, bicycle parts, toiletries, and there was a lovely old man who had a stall selling delicious big jars of organic honey много вкусно
