I was rash enough to buy one of these devices on being convinced by a hypothesis; that brushing with toothbrushes focuses attention on each individual tooth only for a second or two. In contrast, it is claimed, with this device, all teeth receive 30 seconds of brushing. This hypothesis is false because, although the mouthpiece does vibrate, the vibrations are not conveyed to the brushes where they make contact with your teeth. Instead, the silicone brushes absorb the vibrations such that there is no brush movement against the surface of the teeth. Another disadvantage is that you have to use about 3 or 4 times the amount of toothpaste that you would use with a brush. This is because you have to smear toothpaste all the way around the mouthpiece, both top and bottom. Finally, cleaning the mouthpiece takes an age after use. Getting the toothpaste out of all the nooks and crannies in the mouthpiece is very fiddly, and requires a lot of rinsing too. In short, devices such as these are grossly ineffective and wasteful, and I counsel against buying them for that reason. You really cannot beat an irrigation device combined with an electric toothbrush.

In the commercial for this thing the guy says that 90% of his patients had tooth problems. That’s all well and good, except for the fact that the high level of patients coming to him with tooth decay was because he was a dentist. In addition, he says that the one thing that they all had in common was using normal toothbrushes. Of course they all had that in common, there’s only one kind of toothbrush! That isn’t proof that toothbrushes don’t work, that’s proof that everybody uses a toothbrush. That’s like people going to a doctor complaining that their cast isn’t helping to heal their broken bone and the doctor saying that the thing they had in common was the cast. People who the cast did work for, almost certainly in the majority, wouldn’t go to the doctor! People who don’t have tooth problems would not go to the dentist so frequently. The reason the dental industry hasn’t changed is because toothbrushes work. I am not saying that this toothbrush doesn’t work, as I haven’t tried it, just saying that the ad for this product was irritating.

Normal Electric toothbrushes are the best not manual brushing. I can absolutely 100% guarantee my teeth would be in very bad shape now if I'd stuck to manual brushing in the last 6 years. I probably would have as well lost yet another tooth to decay. A good sonic one (not philips) can motivate you to keep brushing regularly too as with a new condition head, a good amount of an advanced modern toothpaste and a good strategy including alot of circles I really do think you get the same benefits from a 30 sec brush as you do from 2 minutes of manual brushing. 6 minutes a day with a manual toothbrush is a bit too much to ask of someone who doesn't want to put any effort in at all like when your tired and just want to go to bed. I have a few issues with this. 1. That toothbrush device is not for 10 seconds, but instead 30 seconds, and he used the wrong sized one. Another thing, they don’t talk about a good toothbrush. My favorite toothbrush right now happens to be charcoal but that’s not why it’s great, what’s awesome is that it has these extremely slim bristles that get into every little tight space. It is a manual but I switch between using that and an electric.
10 seconds to not clean teeth? That's the real waste of time + cost of useless junk + environmental impact to manufacture (and inevitably pitch) said junk.
All true. The ad I saw was very misleading. I feel so stupid for buying 5 of these. They arrived 3 months later. Everything is written in Asian languages. I cannot send them back. They don’t clean teeth, they don’t reach the molars, they are a scam.
First most of the bacteria are at the gum line, and you would hold the brush at a 45 degree angle not so much flat on the teeth. The Bass technique which has been around for along time.. is probably the best way to brush.. along with the Bass style tooth brush. ... also, coffee grounds would bounce off because of vibration alone.. Plague is stick so It doesn't act quite the same way. There are many variables that matter. What many people dont look at is the shape of the bristles at the tip.. jagged ends can tear into the gum, as opposed to rounded tip bristles.. which are more likely to massage the gums.. This is what a BASS style tooth brush has as well as its got much more space in between the bristles. allowing them to move..... Personally I like that style of toothbrush better. As far as Charcoal, while it is good at dealing with bacteria, I cant imagine it does much when infused into a bristle..
I just bought a Sonicare electric toothbrush today. Uhm it’s a little to get use to I bought the Philips pink one. The noise that it makes trips me out, But all get use to it. It’s a great investment to make. Wish I had known any better when I was a teenager. I knew better I just didn’t listen. I have Cavity fillers so that’s what worries me that it might wear them off a lot faster. Will see how it goes. 😁
some point in the first grade, I had a silly idea for an “invention” similar to this and I wondered how would it do it ever got produced. but i guess i dodged a bullet lol
I feel as tho these are teeth whitening items, like the go smile. Not actual brushes that clean or remove any type of food or plaque. & it was longer than 10 seconds, & I drooled a ton!
It seems like sonic toothbrushes are doing a good job. I have one myself, it’s definitely good at cleaning teeth. I don’t think that weird full-mouth toothbrush thingy is gonna do a very good job.
Lmfao. I was watching an ad on this tooth brush. They said the reason they could sell the product for so cheap is because they dont spend money on advertising. They lied by saying they don't advertise in their advertisement lmfao. And they used this footage in the ad but didn't mention how this guy "wasn't a fan" and said it doesnt really work well for cleaning. The ad made it sound like it was the thing that would make the toothbrush obsolete. So now I know they are just trying to get as much money off their failed idea as they can through some bullshit untruthful ad.
Even with an electric toothbrush I tend to brush aggressively. I know the toothbrush is supposed to do the work but I just guess it’s habit that I manually brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush instead of just moving it around in my mouth and allowing it to do the work. I can’t be the only one.
Some electric toothbrush models have pressure sensor that remind you to brush more gently when you press too harsh/aggressively. While I didn't try those brushes before (I don't even have an electric toothbrush lol) IMO it would be a good way to start changing your habit.
Thankyou for this review. It's hard at times to split the marketing rubbish from the effectifness of a product. I seen some products with app support, AI build in zone rebembrance, and crazy rgb lighting on an electical toothbrush even. The real question is this. Is your mouth compatable with the brush piece if your teeth aren't all nicely flat and perfect as they show in all examplary advertisments? Getting in between your teeth to partialy flos out the food remains is one of the most important things to keep your mouth hygiëne in top order. Without this, gingivitus will lead to paradontitus and even worse, necrosis which is a heavy infection of your toothflesh /gums. Check out some of these heavy incidents of necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis.
Me I'm the dumb fuck who thinks the more aggressive you brush the cleaner you get your teeth but unaware of the damage I'm actually causing especially around my gums
Don't be an idiot and order one like I did. Quit after 4 brushings (if you can call them that. Does not even cover all your teeth. Makes a great night lite but pricy at $59.00 as the light is the only things that works. Most are made in Asia and good luck getting your money back (talking about the brush with the piece that fits in the mouth). I was lucky enough to get an e-mail address and contacted the seller. They asked me to send them a video of the non-working toothbrush and box - not working. SERIOUSLY. Did not say how long to make the video.
1st off, he said 10 seconds, not true it's 30 to 60 seconds. And the reviews are outstanding. So sad that this supposedly denisit didn't do a complete review.
The 10 second brush is laughable. I do think there's something there for people - the idea that we can bring down the typical 2-minute brush experience because if you can brush more teeth at once, you can be more efficient. A 30-second brush is in the realm of possibility. However, you have to figure out how to adequately clean all teeth with the device fitting in the mouth. I'm not convinced on a design that will enable that kind of certainty, though many people (including myself) are probably constantly missing spots anyways so it may not be any worse than manual brushing. I bought the Burst toothbrush because once I heard the patent for sonic toothbrushes expired, I knew the overpriced Sonicare was going to have to come down in price or face stiff competition. It's truth that now you can get quality toothbrushes with that sonic emitting technology for 1/2 the price of a Sonicare, and I advise people to take advantage of it. There's nothing special about Sonicare anymore. It's just like every other brush using the same technology. My only advice is to not cheap-out - you get what you pay for, and $30 for a sonic-type tech brush is probably too low for quality to be good. I'd suggest $50-$60 price range, which is where the Burst seems to be at for the moment.
I tried this product and It was amazing! These guys need to do a tad bit more research. When I normally brushed my teeth, my teeth where fine but my gums where slowly getting destroyed But when I used this product my gums and teeth where clean and never hurt after I was brushing!
I got the myst because I over brush and messed up my gums. However, it cleans the front of my mouth really well but not the back. So, I got a Sonic brush and just wasted my money on myst.
Why would we want to stick with the old way? People have been having cavities for ever and to this day people still have rotting teeth despite good oral care. I am one of those who brushes meticulously and still have issues. Granted, my issues were probably due to lack of nutrition when I was a child but I haven’t been able to reverse the issues with good oral hygiene.

Wow I didn't know these sonic toothbrushes existed. going to buy one now. I love my electric toothbrush. so this should be even better.
Never heard of a SoniCare?
My dental hygienist told me when buying a electric toothbrush to buy the one with the round head as opposed to the long one. She said the round one cleans more effectively.
I'm a RDA, no you buy the toothbrush you are going to be more comfortable using. Some people can't tolerate the vibrations of sonic toothbrushes so they go with oscillating ones like oral B. I used to like Sonicare but have been using oral for 2 years now. In any case any electric toothbrush is better than manual
@@SimplyCali619 I honestly do not know the difference btw a sonic and oral B electric toothbrush. I have a oral B myself. I was talking just electric toothbrush in general that having a round head is better than the straight one. I was told this by my dental hygienist. That's all I meant by that. :)
@@demijour1234 well basically sonic toothbrushes are shaped like regular toothbrushes long and skinny heads and oral b are round heads though there are generic electric toothbrushes that has round heads. Don't forget to floss!
@@SimplyCali619 lol, I have my dental floss and floss everyday. Thank you for letting me know the difference. Glad I use then oral b like yourself.
Oral B oscillating round elecrric brush is best both in cleaning and comfort and tge smaller head can reach hard to reach areas like the back of molars.
I’ve seen products for the last decade that offer a custom mold option thats similar to the first toothbrush. Highly effective
Nope, they suck
03:39 I love that “wowwwww” from the audience!!
Can just imagine someone standing at the front behind the cameras sight holding prompt card up with "WOW!" on it. Lol
That bloke looks like he`s been using it on his head lol.
I like how he used the word "SUPPOSED TO"
Which shows the extend of his knowledge
10 seconds to not clean teeth? That's the real waste of time + cost of useless junk + environmental impact to manufacture (and inevitably pitch) said junk.
How is this different from a electric toothbrush which needs a head replacement every few months??? That EVERYONE has too.
All true. The ad I saw was very misleading. I feel so stupid for buying 5 of these. They arrived 3 months later. Everything is written in Asian languages. I cannot send them back. They don’t clean teeth, they don’t reach the molars, they are a scam.
@@samaraisnt The difference is normal electric toothbrushes actually clean your teeth
EXACTLY
@@samaraisnt Everyone has electric toothbrushes now?
I don’t know if I trust a doctor* guy with an eyebrow piercing for info lol
You can't improve on some things,Like the good old fashioned claw bathtubs with a sloped back, now you barely see them unless they are spendy antique.
I had an advertisement of one of them, right before this very video!
I splurged on a super expensive sonicare years ago and it’s still going strong. Feels far better than a standard toothbrush
That saves a lot of time

These are absolute garbage and your post is a lie you know it
I just bought a Sonicare electric toothbrush today.
He said he could feel his eyeballs vibrating which means it doubles up as an eyeball massager!
thankyou for such a clear to the point review, very informative
I saw the commercial for the first product. They never said 10 sec. They posted 1 min. So I'm guessing 1 min for top and 1 min for bottom.
That guy was a bottom
Do you recommend the philips, oral b, or burst electric toothbrush?
The product that I'd REALLY like to know about is the one that made his head so dang shiny! 😂
I feel as tho these are teeth whitening items, like the go smile. Not actual brushes that clean or remove any type of food or plaque. & it was longer than 10 seconds, & I drooled a ton!
What's the black tooth brush called??
It seems like sonic toothbrushes are doing a good job. I have one myself, it’s definitely good at cleaning teeth. I don’t think that weird full-mouth toothbrush thingy is gonna do a very good job.
I disagree, as long as it hits each surface and down to the gum line.
But unlike traditional toothbrushes 🪥 it does not cleans the tongue 👅
@@lorzs1270i disagree, its a stupid marketing ploy and 10 seconds is not enough for fluoride to ger absorbed by your teeth
Probably a meme advert
What's a cosmetic dentist and why does the specification need to be made?
Charcoal is melted in the polymer, the highly porous adsorbing structure of the carbon is sealed off by the polymer, total BS.
What does that mean
I THOUGHT THE INVENTION WAS TO MAKE HIS HEAD SHINY
Guy in the lab coat must have gotten buffed before the show. He's so shiny.
I just keep imagining a secret time traveler from 1918 came on that year and watch the video. 🤔
What???
Hi! Would anyone happen to know the Exact name of the last electric black toothbrush???
IT'S THE TENTH DENTIST!
And just like that television regressed 10 years, I'm back to watching infomercials again
Were can i buy it
which brand is the charcoal toothbrush
If only my teeth were shaped like corn, I could get these coffee grinds out of my mouth.
Damn his head is so shiny that the sun’s rays isn’t as powerful
What is the name of this brush.
The device itself says you need to do usual brushing and isn't a replacement for regular brushing.
Nothing beats the manual geriatric dentifrice.
Everyone talking about how shiny this dudes head is. I'm over here second guessing my life choices when my dentist has an eyebrow piercing.
Lol i saw it too
Jack Tate what does that have to do with this guys eyebrow ring? And why are you upset about it? Lmao
Lol!!!!
He just killed every Companies Product Shown on the show damn
mayankho like an infomercial
Does that guy put oil on head on purpose
The makeup team probably thought it was a good idea lol
They forgot to powder his head before going on
Some people have oily skin. My face can look like that.
He probably got sweaty and nervous because as a dentist he wasn't recommending products😅
Why not talk about how regular tooth bushes are the real reason we as individuals continue to return to the dentist and they continue to damage teeth
That would be sugar and starch consumption my dude 😜👍🏻
Well why don't you stop brushing your teeth and see what happens
That’s. Exactly from the ad....
Me I'm the dumb fuck who thinks the more aggressive you brush the cleaner you get your teeth but unaware of the damage I'm actually causing especially around my gums
Yup. You'll get receding gums.
What is the results???
What is the name of the charcoal toothbrush?
I order mine Sunday! ☺️
Thank u Sir for analysis...
The reason he said they’re bad is so he can keep his job
Cuhz vibrations focus and clean the outside of teeth and gums not in between meaning its focken useless
How can you be a doctor and not know the difference between silicon and silicone…
Coffee grounds gosh darn it! Grounds!
Its coffee thats grinded..so he is correct
Its not getting the gum line
This! The most important part of brushing.
“Can we say there’s potential so I can get paid” ? 😂
So sad that this supposedly denisit didn't do a complete review.
good demo. glad to know...
When you realise this was a year ago and you still don't have a toothbrush like this 🌝
The 10 second brush is laughable.
What is the link to the toothbrush you are using?
I always eat coffee grinds in the morning.
I always thought that corn was the best model for teeth and gums
I tried this product and It was amazing! These guys need to do a tad bit more research. When I normally brushed my teeth, my teeth where fine but my gums where slowly getting destroyed
But when I used this product my gums and teeth where clean and never hurt after I was brushing!
I got the myst because I over brush and messed up my gums. However, it cleans the front of my mouth really well but not the back. So, I got a Sonic brush and just wasted my money on myst.
Didn't see that first device go anywhere near his gumline.
It looked like he didn't put it on his teeth correctly.
its not 10 seconds its 30 seconds. and you are supposed to rotate it back and forth quickly in your mouth
Cool got it buying a sonic toothbrush
But wait, what if thats what the competition want you to believe.
NOT A REVIEW IS A COMMERCIAL - PAID ACTORS NOT REAL PEOPLE
What toothbrush is that black one?? Is it Burst?
the first one doesnt even touch his gums
It’s supposed to. He put it in wrong
He’s not using it correctly, he’s a moron
Why would we want to stick with the old way? People have been having cavities for ever and to this day people still have rotting teeth despite good oral care.
I am one of those who brushes meticulously and still have issues. Granted, my issues were probably due to lack of nutrition when I was a child but I haven’t been able to reverse the issues with good oral hygiene.
That's so cyberpunk
Dr. Sako is handsome
