I'm using classic 350 since 2012 n completed around 30k kms. I observed my bike giving 45 km/l in city n 48 on high way while maintaining max 70 kmph.
Also, for mileage checking the above one is not d correct method.
1. Carburettor is air filled. So, oil will be wasted to start bike.
2. Filling in bottle n again refilling into bike. Here, some what evaporates.
So, best method is calculate reserve to reserve by filling 1 ltr oil.
Dinesh Pothana 45 in city is good. This is new bike and done only 900km. I will take it to 5000km and try do the test again from reserve to reserve with 1 ltr petrol

I got at max of 44kmpl and average is around 40kmpl.... Ill maintain the speed within 60kmph nd mostly in highway. 48kmpl that too at 70kmph is almost impossible for me to believe.

i have electra 350 bought new 2014 sep. still i changed salencer , wheel & others, same showroom condition. while I traveling to Kannur (Kerala) from Pune.. I got 565 Km mileage 11 litres ( full tank to reserve). If driving without more acceleration I normaly getting 45-48 kmpl. most of the people acceralating while gear chaging, @ signals thats y getting lesser mileage.. 50-60 km/hr giving more mileage. While I buying most of the people said bullets fuel consumption is very high. in my case i getting mileage more than 15cc bikes. I didnt make any changes in electra. so people are saying oldman's bike.. no more sound.. and no more look. almost 5-10 times i run bike more than 600km a day.. no vibration and complaint came.
u shouldn't have done the test this way wen the carbourator is dry it takes some fuel for itself and that affects your mileage, make it this way full ur tank that's approx 13.5liters drive it for a day and at the end of day ask the petrol guy to full ur tank look at the liters reading there, the kms u rode divided by that amount of petrol which it consumed will get u more approx figure

You got that mileage for double seat within city limits which is really good.
instead you could have noted meter reading when bike hits reserve,fill 1 or 2 liters of petrol and note the reading when the bike hits reserve again. devide the kms by fuel amount and you get avg. mileage. Simplest and no headache method.

If ur in city condition then u can ride the bike in 4th or 5th gear. This gives more milege than 30

But let me tell you a thing which i noticed in my many years of owning bulls
Your average will increase as and when your starts getting set in properly
I will give you a ex of my std 350
At the start during the running in i used to get like 29 then after like 5000 it went upto 30 - 32 now after 8.5 k its giving like 34
While filling petrol from bottle to the tank, there are chances it might fill in the right side of the tank.(fuel outlet is on left side). So you can't claim exact milage with this method of filling half litre of fuel in empty tank.
Abhinesh Gour You mean to say there are different compartments in the tank which can be filled separatly. I dont think that would be possible

Test should be done using only the correct equipment. There are calibrated bottles for this purpose.

For my bike ,which has done 7500 kms (Classic 350) and regularly serviced, I get 50 kmpl. I run in a mix of country and city roads ,about 70% country and 30% city ride. Stock silencer, stock tuning. I ride at a speed of 60 - 70 kmph. I think the result in the video is way off mark.

its not a correct method to find average.insted of using petrol into tank u should make and arrangement so that the petrol can be fully ustilize.....definatly u will get the perfect milage....

such hypocrisy, when i ask why haven't classic included a fuel gauge, they say "because we re users dont care about mileage, now i am seeing people whining about mileage"
dont feel strange if you see that their bike is giving 70+ average...
vaibhav rathi Fuel gauge is a drawback. I think they will add soon in newer models
this guy is not using the stock silencer and all ........so this mileage cannot be generalized
