my bullet gives 45-47 km/ltr mileage. i ride my bike at a constant speed of 45-55km/hr. it's been six months, even in highways i do not exceed my speed. i'm very much happy with my bike.

I've Classic 350, bought on 16 March 2010, clocked 60k+ kms and still it gives me 45 in city and 50-52 kmpl on highways. Love this beast.

It's pretty late now.. but this is the correct time to say this. 2 days before, I tuned my carburettor. and now I'm getting a max mileage of 58 and an average of 55..

Bhai...detail sirf itne hai ke.. you should love your bike and your bike will talk to you and she will tell you what she want and at which gear she want you to change it to.. petrol is just normal nothing special.. I travel by car and Biking is something i Enjoy... Stock silencer is good unless you want it changed and you can change the silence any time.. even on the first day.. hope you liked my video have a good day and healthy life...

bro if possible try the same method using liter bottle. I think mileage differs. I know its difficult to ride litre petrol just by hanging over but if possible give a try. If it hits 50 kmpl then a huge salute to RE and ur bike maintainence

Please do a mileage test on Honda Navi, because of its small tank and absence of fuel gauge i think it literally needs the test even they claim it around 60 kmpl.

Mostly whenever i dont take my emfield gunmetal outside, i always swift to reserve all the time.. I didnt Swift to off... (1) Will dis effect my bike?? Like mileage???
2. And is it ok to swft on reserve all the time when not driving???

I get 65mpg to 85mpg on the Classic 500 EFI. Imperial gallons. But then I've done a fair bit of tuning to the bike and I'm not in the least concerned about consumption. If I've done my sums right that's roughly 26km/l

The best and easier way to check correct mileage is RESERVE TO RESERVE. That is fill a minimum of 5 Liter's after it comes to reserve. Note down the Odo meter reading when it had come to reserve. After fill ride in main, (that is liver down) Then again when it comes to reserve note the reading and minus it with the previous reserve reading. Divide by 5 will give the mileage per liter. Happy n safe riding guys

FYI what you have on your petrol pipe is a spring clip and they can be leaky - this (example, link below) is a proper petrol pipe clip, note the nut and bolt arrangement and that it provides better clamping of small diameter hose than a Jubilee clip - www.rimmerbros.co.uk/ItemImages/Large/14740-Large.jpg
Hi Jeff.. thats nice but in India i have not seen any such thing on any carbureted bikes..
We use them on cars too, or a crimp-on type as the spring clip and jubilee are not suitable for petrol hose (neither carb nor injector). The injector has a petrol pump and runs at higher pressure but unless you like petrol running down your trouser leg, you don't want a leak there. RE do fit a jubilee on the EFI, it leaks. At small diameter the screw on a Jubilee lets go of the band. I found examples of this clip online from India (and everywhere else), they are out there - 3.imimg.com/data3/SD/RG/MY-15345460/petrol-pipe-clip-250x250.jpg (but this may 404) here is Hitchcocks' (big RE parts supplier) www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/pictures/category6025/large/pipeclip.jpg these are just examples of the type - try a car parts place perhaps. They were so cheap I simply bought an assortment to get the right size. Stainless are strongest, ours are always stainless.

before first service, I got 53 mileage on my classic 350. But aftet that, it is never going above 45. might be my riding style.. anyway, 50+ is possible..

Our UK fuel pumps are very accurate, they have to be (weights & measures). The receipt also shows us number of litres inserted. If you record mileage (kilometreage just doesn't work as a word) and average out next time and the next, we get a very accurate measurement of consumption.
No need to hang a bottle of extremely flammable liquid around your neck
This is not a correct way to check, years before Bajaj did this for my Kawasaki caliber and for 100 ml it went for 11 kms that means approx 110 kms to a litre but u need to do this multiple times as it is average consumption we will get not accurate.

Hi Yash, Stock is good but if you want to change the sound try the mud flap with exhaust rubber but yet if you want loud silencer then long bottle or short bottle both are good..

standard mileage will always be different from actual mileage on road traffic conditions,..........
well,.. if you want to have a smooth change of gears, easy start in cold conditions,better mileage,.... do this,.....
remove/ reduce 50ml of oil from engine oil sump through drain / from inlet by using a injection syringe,.... now add 50ml 'NULON' into the engine oil sump,........... start the vehicle and keep it on for about 10 minutes/ take a 5km ride,.........
you will notice the difference in engine beats,......after vehicle has covered 100kms,... if you think that idling has increased,... reduce/ adjust idling just like a heart beat,........
add NULON every 3 months,... even when the oil is drained the additive is not wasted since it forms a protective Teflon coating inside the engine,... protecting gears, crank, clutch other moving parts, extending engine life, reduced vibrations... even exhaust emission standards will improve,...........
I'll not be able to explain more but you'll feel it in engine response,.....
you need not disclose any of this to your vehicle dealer,.... since the more you go to them,.. the more they earn
you will get 'NULON' engine additive, at good engine oil dealers,.....measure is
50ml--- for 2 / 3 wheelers, rs110- rs125
350ml--- for 4 wheelers--- rs 500 ,..........
with improvements in efficiency you'll get =/> 15% increase in mileage

Hi Araavindh.. if you are old school then you should know that 350 is carbureted engine and 500 is Electronic Fuel Injected... 500 gives better performance where as 350 gives reliability... rest you can check on any website... if you want to use it for long distance touring then 500 gives an edge but for regular use.. 350 works wonder with better milage.... and almost same performance in the city only...

i tried it ... its a tourer... personally i did not like it.. and that's not because bike is not good.. but its little to much for city... and after riding himalayan you will find 350cc a little less on power..
