    Have you tried the new Asics Nova Blast shoe? i have and it was a comfortable well cushioned shoe throughout. Can you or anyone comment on the difference in cushioning between the two shoes?

    Are you going to review Nimbus 24? Is it worth paying more for 24 over 23? I just returned 1080v11 way too wobbly for me, would the 24 be simular?

    Thank you Brandon for your very detailed honest review. Look forward for your review of the latest new running shoes of 2021. Btw, I am a wide foot heel striker with both knee injuries, kindly advice which are the suitable running shoes for my situation. Peoples advice me is better to get a good cushioning shoe rather than a stability shoe. I am currently wearing Hoka Clifton 7 but I find it not as comfortable as New Balance in terms of the cutting. My front foots always cramped even I have done a good long stretching before my run.

      Hi, thanks for watching! You should try the Triumph 18 or the Nimbus 23. Both very cushioned and they have spacious forefoots.

    The durability / price ratio is always a concern when it comes to running shoes, almost like dollars/kilometre. I'm disappointed that they put this little rubber, and I agree with the comment that AHAR+ should have been placed on that lateral piece. Makes buying the right pair of shoes a difficult one for me. Just that one bit that prevented this from being the perfect long run shoe!

    I don't get the love for gusseted tongues in the running community.
    I prefer a well designed old school separate tongue that won't bunch up.
    Is it just generally speaking it's easier to get a good fit with the gusseted tongues?

    Very impressive and highly informative review brother! you got a new sub! May I ask ur advice: I notice you land on the outer edges of ur feet..supination... I am the same.. my stride is short though, im a jogger ,not a runner... I have wide flat feet and cant tolerate a prominant arch in the shoe... My heels are killing me and ur description of this shoe sounded interesting for that reason...I Like shoes with a high heel to toe drop and ones that are springy, giving great energy return... bouncy!.. Ive never had good running shoes in my life and im 61.. ive always cheaped out and got 2nd hand castoffs at goodwill stores.. now
    my feet are killing me to even walk so im wanting to buy my 1st real shoes .. Ive tried the hoka bondi 6 thinking it was the answer to the sore heels..It was aweful..sore heels became more so, arches hurt like crazy, the low heel to toe drop 4mm made it feel like walking uphill in sand.. so tiring and painful to walk in! and no energy return at all ... do you think this nimbus is good for my situation? any other alternative brands to check? so hard finding experienced consul from people in shoe stores, as they often have zero experience and just quote specs from the manufacturer.. thanks for any help u can offer!

      Yeah I couldnt help but see him landing on the outsides of his feet, looked really uncomfortable. The heels in the 23s are Super cushioned and the pad of the foot is springy too. I can 100% recommend them for heel pain. They're a good all around, my podiatrist was very impressed with the support they offer. Also do not buy 2nd hand shoes, super bad for your feet because they will be contoured to the 1st person's soles. Only downside is the high price but when you're in pain you'd do anything to feel relief! Good luck mate 👍

    This reviews is perfect timing for me! I’ve got my pair on their way but can’t decide if I should get the endorphin shift or triumph 18 instead!? Mainly for long runs, I have the endorphin speed and have been loving that. Any advice is appreciated.

    • @LawBrandon
      @LawBrandon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you like a firmer ride and a rocker for faster runs, get the Shift. If you want a really soft ride for easy runs, get the Nimbus.

    Gotta love the extra tips you gave on durability of the sole last year.... I was debating between these shoes and 3 others but durability of the sole as a supinator matters when shoes start at 150$! The cushioning, you can always improve with insert insoles but once your thread is gone, or a whole lateral part of the shoe is going, as you've shown here after only 18 kms, well, I'd say there are more urgent things to buy in this world than a pair of pricey shoes every 4 months...I'll keep searching for more durable soles..

    how do the Nimbus 24s compared to the Nimbus 23‘s? I really enjoyed the Nimbus lite 2 but burned through them quickly. I also burned through my name is 22s fairly quickly. I don’t really feel like spending $160 on the 24s and the 23s are finally on sale. I had ordered a pair along time ago but had to send them back because there was too much cushion in the heel on the right and the right ankle/heel was too low. I thought it was a defect in the shoe that I ordered.

  • @ronp8865
    @ronp8865 ปีที่แล้ว

    IDK how you strike to wear your soles that way. I think they have the hard rubber in the rear of the heal because that is where most people strike first. Especially if you have a long stride. My nimbus have always worn through in the middle of the forefoot first from pushing off and from running hills. Rubber is totally gone there before the shoes are toast.

    Don't buy the knit version. Fits like a water shoe without a tongue. I didn't know that when I ordered it. Rubbed and blistered top of my foot on first run. Been running in Asics for 35 years, worst idea yet. Had to buy a regular 23 version with a tongue. What a waste of money.

    I bought the Asics Nimbus 23 shoes for running and it has been a complete disappointment and an absolute nightmare. I had used the shoes for only about 250*kms of running appro, and already the shoes are tearing apart. I had spent a ridiculous amount on these shoes, expecting a good quality product from Asics. Unfortunately, the quality of shoes sold by Asics in India is very poor. What's worse is that the customer care team is unwilling to provide any support, leaving me stuck with a defective product. I urge everyone to be aware before making a purchase of Asics shoes. These shoes are a waste of your hard-earned money and will only lead to disappointment. If you're thinking of buying Asics shoes, think again! Save your money and invest in a better brand that values their customers and produces quality products. Asics Nimbus shoes are a complete waste of money and a disgrace to the sportswear industry.

    U got it wrong, Asics did not. 😤
    I have nimbus 23 and its for a heel striker.
    Thus, the extra hard rubber at the heel.
    Do your homework well, before you open your mouth, young man.
