    About 1 year ago, I watched this video and ordered one in 45 lbs. I have been shooting traditional bows for over 30 years: recurves, longbows and self bow. You are right, this bow is freakin awesome. Very light weight, and a smooth shooter. Love it, thanks brother!

    Good shooting, John! And good review on a affordable bow.

    You shoot good man. Filming yourself adds a whole other variable too :)
    I'm getting into archery and trying to decide between a longbow and recurve.
    I wanna have fun first and foremost. Thank you for the video dude :)

    Bought one last year and love it. Been a bowhunter for over 50 years and this bow is as good as any I’ve ever had. I got the sixty inch and it’s going to the woods this year.

    • @BigRigOutdoors
      @BigRigOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes it does 40yrds is a long ways for a bow only shooting at 155fps and I only have a 27-27.5 inch draw length so the bow doesn't get a very long power stroke.

    Impressive shooting. Do you gap?

    • @BigRigOutdoors
      @BigRigOutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm an instinctive shooter but I've been playing around with Gap shooting recently. In this video I had been Gap shooting for about an hour. For new shooters gap or string walking is easy to learn.

  • @jbcurdog72

    How do you think this bow would work for someone with a 29 to 29.5 draw length???

    • @BigRigOutdoors
      @BigRigOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This bow is extremely smooth with no stacking because of its long overall length it would be a great bow for a 29" draw but remember for every inch over 28" it will add about two pounds to the draw weight

    Would this be ok for boar hunting?

    • @BigRigOutdoors
      @BigRigOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Any modern laminated bow of #40 draw at your draw length with an arrow that weighs approx 400 grains or more with a good two or three bladed broadhead with be more then adequate for most large game up to black bear or Elk.
      P.S. this is my most favorite bow in my collection 👍👍

    Did I see some Zwickey broadheads in your bow mounted quiver?

    • @BigRigOutdoors
      @BigRigOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I've used those for a very long time. Been using the same one's for about 10 years, I bought 25 of them at a traditional archery shoot in KY

    • @DamonHowattHunter
      @DamonHowattHunter 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BigRigOutdoors Very nice! Yes Zwickeys have been very reliable for me as well, have some going in the woods with me this fall. I wonder if the shoot your talking about is Kentucky Tradfest. Been wanting to go to that for years.

    • @BigRigOutdoors
      @BigRigOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DamonHowattHunter no it was before tradfest became a thing.
      But if you make it there go see Randy he's the director, he's the guy that got me into tradbows many many moons ago.

    It bugs me that all the gear makes so much noise long bows need to be quiet

  • @dillonqaphsiel7977

    Just remember you can’t keep a wood bow strung while it’s not being used

    • @scottrobertson9452
      @scottrobertson9452 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct..if its all wood. But this bow is faced and backed with FIBERGLASS, you can let it strung, and won't effect it. I unsprung mine when not in use, though.

    nice bow,
    it seems you shoot too quickly, you're not absolute focused on each arrow
    i know what it is, my main default !!
    patience and concentration.......
