There are violins (or members of the violin family used in this song). The music video is around 4 minutes, where as the album version is around 6 minutes. In the album version you can clearly hear the use of violins, especially at the end of the song. Your reaction to this song was great!

The first track of coheed I ever heard was Time Consumer from their first album when it came out...and I was hooked ever since...I highly recommend that track to check out

I spent 2 weeks learning this riff on guitar. I don't play guitar but loved this so much I tried.
You like drums? Try "Guns of Summer" by Coheed and Cambria. That song has a drum solo and it's ridiculously intense.
Would love you to play 60's and 70's R&B, even if you are already familiar with. Most of your audience would enjoy I hope. Those groups could sang!
This is the second video I've seen of them. The song was heavy. The other video I watched from them was more pop rock. What kind of music do they usually play? The other video I saw was "Jessie's Girl 2 (feat. Rick Springfield)". Both songs were good, but different genres. And for those who don't know, Rick Springfield was big in the 80's and had a hit "Jessie's Girl".
Jessies Girl 2 isn't really what you would call a Coheed song if you know what I mean. They're progressive rock so it varies between ballads and super heavy epics that last ten minutes. This is a good song, but as far as they go, it's really just mediocre.

Bro you like Jazzy style check out Marcus King Band "One Day She's Here" he is amazing. New sub earned. I'm a drummer and music is life for me too! Another good drum heavy track is Mind Mischief by Tame Impala. But don't check out music video because it will totally distract you.
