    Anker 747 PowerCore III Elite 25600 87W Portable Charger with 65W USB C Charger, Power Delivery Power Bank Bundle for USB C MacBook Air/Pro/Dell XPS, iPad Pro, iPhone 12/11/Mini/Pro and More, Black
    I love my old power bank. It goes everywhere with me. But I found myself wanting to charge both of my devices at max speed... which wasn't possible. One charged fast and one charged slow. Now I can charge both at full freaking speed!! and some at slower USB type A speeds!!

    It’s quite a powerful power bank. A beast when charging my iPad Pro 12.9”. Also has “low charging” mode, as indicated by a green light when you press on the status button two times, for devices that normally struggle to be charged with the three-USB port Anker PowerCore (the one that puts out a total of 30w combined) due to lower power consumption, such as the Apple Watch. Thanks for the review. This power bank deserves more attention.

    • @wwjoshdew

      ya know, the low power thing has been a thing for a while now. on so many power banks. my brain thinks about so many things at once, that it's hard to get it all out and not get off track and forget where I was going. so that didn't occur to me while filming. thanks for the comment.

But yeah "trickle-charging mode" is a thing it has but I don't quite understand it. It doesn't go into much detail in the manual. That's what brought me here hoping you would explain it.

    • @wwjoshdew
      @wwjoshdew  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have been explaining that in every single video, but forgot to do it in this one. basically, it’s for Bluetooth earbuds, game controllers, anything that uses very little power to charge. the battery bank turns on and off as needed until very little power is being drawn. in low power mode, it will never automatically turn the battery off.

I already have the powerbank, and I think I always get lucky to make it work with my Laptop. I know there is a step-by-step procedure that I need to do to charge my laptop. My request is, hope you can also share how you charge your laptop like do you have to connect the cable first to the powerbank and laptop then press the button (once or twice - I'm not sure either)? Or do I press the button first before I connect the cable to the powerbank and the laptop? Hope you can help meeee. Thank you so so much sir!!!

I usually press the power button on the battery, then plug into the laptop. because I'm certain sometimes it thinks it should be drawing power from the laptop to CHARGE the battery bank itself. thanks for the comment, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

    • @TC-sb6df
      @TC-sb6df ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've fixed several. In most, just 2 of the 8 batteries die. It's always the 2 farthest from the button, and on the left when looking at the device with the circuit board on the top. I suspect those two may be powering some part of the board when idle as they seem to drain below recoverable levels. Toughest part of the repair is getting the device open. Try recharging those two batteries, or if that doesn't work then replace cells.

    I see you were recently commenting that you're still using it, which is great. Would you happen to know how long it takes to charge this up from zero to full? ( I guess charging with that included 65W charger?)
    Also how do you think this compares to the new 737 power bank with 24k. It weighs a little more and has a little less capacity, but it has a diff form factor and comes with a screen that shows a lot of info.
    Kind of torn between this older/larger capacity one vs the newer/fancy/smaller capacity one..

      @DesertR4T 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve had a hard time charging this device from anything other than a wall outlet. The issue is that this unit has a whopping 87W of power available, so anytime you plug something into the usb c port, the anker power bank wants to charge the device it’s plugged into, unless it’s the wall. So in your case, I think the anker was charging your laptop, not the laptop charging your anker.

    • @AtomizerX
      @AtomizerX 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DesertR4T It has up to 87 W output from one of the USB-C ports, and a capacity of ~100 W h. USB PD 2.0 has bidirectional power transfer (so you could, say, charge a laptop and then use the laptop to charge a phone) so sometimes devices like this get confused as to which way you want power to flow; often there's a way to indicate preference by holding a button when plugging in the cable, for example.

And the 2 type C to lightning cables (which I’m very careful with) get all curled up at base & need to be replaced regularly. PITA! Yes I’m still using lightning. Until Apple can figure out how to get the $15k of music back than I purchased from iTunes (pre Apple Music) vs various iTunes accounts over 20 years, that their dumbass tier 1 employee deleted, I’m not giving them a dime. @@wwjoshdew I bought the Anker 737 that is supposed to output 140 watt and it took 3 hours to charge my phone from something like 19% to 100%. With nothing else plugged in to it. I think that’s slower than the slowest plug that come free with phones. I wrote you on another thread with more details. Do you think this is telling about its forecast and I should return? My 70 watt Anker PD Atom plugged into power charges my phone in under 90 min with half the wattage. I hope to hear back from you as I got it on Amazon and have a limited number of days to return. Ideally, I would like something strong like this they can work in an outage to power up my iPad and MacBook Air but I’ve talked to friends, who have non-name brand power banks that charge their phone in an hour or so the three hours seems ridiculous. I realized I have an older phone, but it charges Super fast on a 70 W output plug so I don’t think it’s the phone. I think the 737 has issues. I spent about $200 for it, it’s fast charging plug and an Anker braided cable to charge the 737. I already had anchor or Apple lightning to USB C cables so I didn’t replace those but I don’t think there’s a problem because I use them to charge my phone nightly with the 70 watt Anker Aton PD2 and have had no problem with speed. The built in cable power packs are gimmicks to get people like you to buy them who think they are actually a good idea.. anker knows its stupid but people buy new whole power packs with built in cables once the built in cable has an issue which makes anker and any other power bank company more money.
