How many grams of carbs do you use per hour in an event?

Spring Energy definitely is the way to go for low carb...😅

I agree. I still use it despite the recent bad press and lab results. I’ve tried many other gels and spring works the best with my stomach. 🤷‍♂️

    Awesome video my favorite.
I’m healing a I pulled adductor muscle right now, so I’m doing about probably 80% or more carnivore. But I’m believing this injury is gonna be hell over and and then that’s the approach. I’m gonna try to mix in as a 62-year-old runner only been on carnivore for three weeks and my wife been about the same but I’ve leaned out, tremendously for specially, since I’m not even running Unbelievable I love it I feel so good.
The other aspect is the mental side I’m focused instead of anxiety and those and some just I’m really focused in my whole life. I wish I’m trying to find books and stuff to people to address that cause I’m very interested in that about what the low to no carb does to your brain I mean, just fix it , good video

Awesome Todd thanks for sharing. I believe in a low carb approach too. My wife and I started together and had very similar results like you described. We started full carnivore for a month then slowly started reintroducing carbs (mostly fruit) back into our diet. . I would incorporate carbs into my long runs however during the first month. Never felt better. Hope you’re healing up.

40,000 calories worth of fat maybe? 40,000 grams is about 90 pounds of fat

Thanks for the comment. I'll have to go back and rewatch, I'm sure he meant calories though... (Probably misspoke, it's hard when it's live and not edited)

Sounds like regular diet. Question. How long does it take for body start using ketones as fuel?
If your organs liver muscles filled up with glycogen then you're not in ketosis.
More interested in cornivore and endurance.

In my personal experience it took about 2 weeks for my body to adapt. I went full carnivore for 4 weeks then started introducing carbs back in strategically. The reason for a "Low Carb" approach is so your body is still used to processing carbs for fuel, using them in an as needed case such as a running or race day fueling. Check out the call we had with Jeff Browning he goes into more detail.

@@myendurancelifeofficial thank you for sharing. I'm eager to try going full cornivore and add a huge spoon of honey after run or bike. I'm thinking this way little insulin spike will benefit us getting all those nutrients from meat inside our muscles.

This is great information. My diet is a mess right now. Always struggling with energy and when i do try to transition to a lower carb diet i always feel so ravenous after training. Something im working on.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. When I went low carb it started by going full carnivore for a month then added strategic carbs back in the way Mike described on the call.
*I’m no doctor or dietitian, just sharing how I made the move*
Ps. I did feel weird the first couple weeks.
