I love David Hyde Pierce. I actually met him when he was visiting our little village in Quebec many years ago. I was his waitress and he was extremely pleasant funny and gracious. I think he was by far the funniest one, and had the best lines on Frasier. Can’t imagine the show without him. But I admire that he only wants to take roles that speak to him. I hope we see him again, however, as he’s such a pleasure to watch. Pure entertainment.
I've been a big fan of David Hyde Pierce since the Frasier days. He's such a talented actor, performer, and just seems like an all-around fascinating person. I'm glad to see he's doing well in theater, voice acting, and other endeavors.
Wonderful actor, he stole alot of scenes on Frasier! Also nice to hear he & his husband are still married, many happy decades to come. I hope we will see him on tv again soon. Wishing David all the best with many thanks for his enjoyable performances over the decades!👍🏻😄🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
He's still working just not in tv so saying Hollywood didn't want him was click bait theater is his passion that's where he got noticed I'm sure he would of been back on the show if he wants to good 2 know where he is so thanks for that 😊
Back when I was an animation producer, I cast David a lot. He was always a delight no matter what weird animated character was thrown at him. When Spamalot opened, three of my best voice-over actors, Pierce, Curry and Azaria, were suddenly unavailable. It was a difficult time.
I was watching an old rerun of Caroline in the city and surprised to see David Hyde Poerce on that show❤❤ he is funny on it too. 😂 He made Niles come to life!!! I loved the one where Martin had him pretend to be his boyfriend. 😂😂😂
A very talented man. Loved him in Frasier. And for the record...I really enjoyed that movie where he was the victim, then psychopath. It was quite a ride. I hope the 2019 movie finally gets released. I look forward to it. I'm glad he's doing well.
In my opinion, the only way the new Fraser will succeed is if Niles returns. Most of the old Fraser's success is because of the banter between Niles and Fraser.
Title is misleading. He walked away. Not the same as staying in Los Angeles then not getting acting jobs. A tiny percentage of actors work at any one time. Versatility is crucial to paying the bills.
This was a question 20 years ago but now theyre mostly all retired, look at Kelsey Grammar he's barely worked in the past 10 years at least I havent seen him in anything!
David's choice to not join the Frasier reboot was a good one, IMO, because it just flat out SUCKS. The reboot has NONE of the tongue in cheek kitsch of the original .
I wish he'd have accepted the role again, because the new show is so far pretty lackluster. But it's not hard to understand why he doesn't want to. Still, wouldn't he consider a few guest appearances, maybe? ❤
He didn't tell people he was harassed and had to shut up the questions. But even if he did that would be his business and good for him for being honest with himself. He is happily married.

I actually know David. Ironically, He was a camp counselor of mine years ago. Terrific guy. Extremely funny and talented. Brilliant pianist
I fell in love with him on Frasier, and will watch him every chance I get. I’m glad he’s busy doing what he loves, and is happy.

The title needs to be changed. Doesn't seem fair
Clickbait
Seems like he's moved up from a sit com to voice acting in HOLLYWOOD
you’re right. he is being casted he’s only taking roles that speak to him.
Agreed
I know! I was all ready to defend him, lol!
Always loved him so much in Fraiser, glad he just switched to theatre and has been thriving since
This title is misleading.
Yes, it's not fair
Very

I'm so glad I clicked on this. I desperately needed to hear that David's doing well in that hell hole called Hollywood...
Thanks for mentioning his vocal role in the underrated Disney masterpiece that is Treasure Planet.
David Hyde pierce also voiced Cecil the brother of sideshow Bob the Simpsons. Kelsey grammar voiced sideshow Bob.
Always a fun casting gag
He's one of my favorite actors. I love him so much. He's such a talented actor.
A man of morals and integrity.
It's amazing how many iconic voices were involved in Frasier
Thank you for acknowledging that the reason behind not seeing him much is his own selectiveness towards projects he's propositioned to take on.
Back when I was an animation producer, I cast David a lot. He was always a delight no matter what weird animated character was thrown at him. When Spamalot opened, three of my best voice-over actors, Pierce, Curry and Azaria, were suddenly unavailable. It was a difficult time.
The first film I saw David Hyde Pierce in after Frasier, was The Perfect Host. Terrific movie; critics be damned.
Yes!! Critics, it's only 1 opinion and I never listen to that.
I was watching an old rerun of Caroline in the city and surprised to see David Hyde Poerce on that show❤❤ he is funny on it too. 😂 He made Niles come to life!!! I loved the one where Martin had him pretend to be his boyfriend. 😂😂😂
I don’t even need to see this video to know it’s click bait. This actor is a legend and decides on his own what roles he wants to take.
Misleading title but that's not surprising 🙄

David is great in any show.
A pure, genuine talent.
So, no reason?
In my opinion, the only way the new Fraser will succeed is if Niles returns. Most of the old Fraser's success is because of the banter between Niles and Fraser.
True 💟
Who just loves the looper channel it so awesome 👌 ❤
Writing this for an actor with 4 emmys and 2 tonys who also happens to be a 64yr old openly gay actor in Hollywood seems gratuitous
Glad he's so successful. He acts in theathres, movies. He doesn't need to return to Frasier,to Niles. Why would he?
David is one of most underrated actors it's shame that never had a really successful show or movie.
The title makes absolutely no sense. It makes me dislike the video because of it.
I can't watch the FRASIER reboot because of his absence.
I saw him in Curtains on Broadway and he was phenomenal
He was great in the Julia Child series
DHP was The Perfect Host❤
Clickbait title.
Thumbs down due to the lie of a title. You guys need to fix your shit.
Absolutely agree with you
He was awesome 😎
This is total crap. He’s worked plenty. Just watched an interview with him and es been steadily working. 😂😂😂
Still sick we were never able to have a complete Del Toro Hellboy trilogy.
If you haven't seen the first two, take the time!!
Click bait
Title is misleading. He walked away. Not the same as staying in Los Angeles then not getting acting jobs. A tiny percentage of actors work at any one time. Versatility is crucial to paying the bills.
I hope he makes some guest spots on the new show the actor who plays his son does a good job and a father son interactions would be funny.
If he want be casted why is he on Julia He à awesome actor😊
He's really rich so he can do or don't do whatever he desires!
So why won't they put him in movies then? because I watched and?
Because he prefers the stage? He is also in S2 of the HBO show Julia. S1 and S2.
Clickbait title. You make it seem like he’s not getting work when he’s clearly got a thriving career doing exactly what he wants to do.
What the hell is up with the title of this video?
This was a question 20 years ago but now theyre mostly all retired, look at Kelsey Grammar he's barely worked in the past 10 years at least I havent seen him in anything!
i love this guy🥰🥰🥰🥰
I would love to see DHP back in Frazier. Irreplaceable, he is.
Fred Ebb also was a writer on Curtains

WRONG. He chooses to stay off screen. He is on Broadway now.
Dumb title but good hook I suppose.A great actor.
So he doesn’t get casted cause he doesn’t want to work? Doesn’t seem very tragic
cast , there is no word casted
Wait - he didn’t know he was gay during the Frasier run?
To each their own just don't tell anybody about it 📜👈😑
Huh?
He didn't tell people he was harassed and had to shut up the questions. But even if he did that would be his business and good for him for being honest with himself. He is happily married.
So the people in the sitcom knew he was gay before he did?
Click bait Title
His “sensuality”?
Click bate... boooo
He should see a doctor before deciding to be a what ever he wanted to be.
