And a lot of times recasting tarnishes the impact of said character. Look at how many times Joker was recasted and fans still say Jack Nicholson was the best. 2) A lot of you don't understand the MCU. It's a different animal than just sequels and franchises. It's a UNIVERSE that continues, and is supposed to be easy to follow like life. Recasting, confuses those who later become fans. People like us have to keep explaining the Don and Terrance is the same person, or Mark and Edward is the same person. That takes away from the MCU's uniqueness. Like Stephen Curry to basketball, the MCU changed how to view and build cinematic universes (on purpose).
they searched for the perfect people to play the roll not the other way around. that's why it's hard for us to see anyone else play the iconic characters bc they were casted so perfectly.
You know what would be cool? Have tchalla be a variant from the X-men universe (the marvels) he’s married to that universes storm, and during an incursion in doomsday, he’s there to help the X-men and faces off with shuri
WOULD MUCH RATHER THEY DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS FR💯I HOPE TCHALLA IS A MULTIVERSE VARIANT THAT IS MARRIED TO STORM & ENDS UP WIELDING THE INFINITY GAUNTLET DURING SECRET WARS😳💪🏾💪🏾
Here’s what’s gonna happen - T’Challa Jr. (son of Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa and Nikita seen at the end of “Wakanda Forever”) meets another variant version of T’Challa Sr. (his father that he never really knew). But that other version of T’Challa Sr. comes from a universe where he and Nikita’s son (T’Challa jr.) died tragically as a young child… so in this scenario, T’Challa jr get to meet the father he never knew, and T’Challa sr. Gets to “reunite” with the son that he tragically lost.
Maybe they meet because of an incursion? Initially bonding with each other and maybe even fighting side by side against a common enemy (namor? Killmonger?) but then realize that the incursion puts them in conflict against each others as one of them (and their universes) has to die or else they both die. I think T’Challa Sr. Would ultimately sacrifice himself to allow his son’s universe to thrive. Everybody in the theater gonna be in tears.
That's a good idea. Im sure T’Challa will come from another universe. But there needs to be a good reason for him to be part of the 616 universe. If he lost his son, and can have an opportunity to be the father of someone who lost their father, then it will be very touching
Maybe in T’Challa Sr.’s universe, the Atlantean attack on Wakanda is what causes his son’s death, and maybe even his Nakia, as well - instead of how Queen Ramona died in the 616.
I loved what they did with BP2 but that doesn’t mean you can’t also have T’Challa in the future. They took the time to mourn Chadwick, now they can move forward with what he started.
They are clearly overthinking this. When T’Challa died at the beginning of BP 2, all they have to do is write in the script that he never really died but was brought back from another herb. This was all done without Shuri knowing because she thought that he died. And come to find out, it was all orchestrated by Nikita. A few seconds after she introduced T’Challa Jr to Shuri, she then invites Shuri into her home into a basement that is filled with Wakandan technology and T’Challa is still in recovery. Of course he will be the recasted actor but will remain as the original T’Challa. Shuri is immediately angered at Nikita but Nikita immediately tells her that this was T’Challa’s wish so that Shuri could become BP temporarily because he was in no shape to carry the mantle until he recovered. T’Challa also knew that if Shuri knew he was alive and in that kind of shape, it would distract her from putting 100% focus on being BP because she would become highly infatuated with healing him like she did at the beginning of BP2. So making her think he was gone would give her closure. “SOLVED!”
All marvel had to do was have BP2 take place during the blip. They could have mourn the loss of Chad without having to lose the T’Challa. That would have given them time to recast T’Challa and we wouldn’t have this problem.
Jeff did not say it would be 616 chad tchalla at all. He said it would not be tchild. It’s obviously not going to be the same ass character we had a funeral for just magically back to life. It will be tchalla from a different universe
The whole Black Panther 2 film should have ALWAYS taken place DURING the blip. Delete the very beginning with the whole cancer or sickness stuff and it’s the same movie but then you get TChalla back in end game and then can honor Boseman AND recast the character a few years later…. Marvel fucked this up

If Moon Knight can come back from the dead, so can T'Challa with his connection with the Panther God, Bast. We don't need to moody this timeline all up with an age up kid.
Man I wish Ryan coogler would no longer be involved with black panther. He did fine the first film but he just needs to leave the franchise to people that have a better grasp of black panther. Just have a t’challa black panther variant, not t’challa jr, not shuri, just t’challa. This whole concept of t’challa jr is stupid.
Chadwick Boseman would be appalled at the thought of a character being forever removed from depiction for the reason he had been. 🤷🏿♂️... but of course 🙏🏿. OF COURSE, there can be a new Black Panther. I ACTUALLY thought that Avengers: Endgame was going to have the Avengers utilize the Time Stone/time travel to recruit heroes from different points in time. This wouldve included T'Chaka ... (in my mind 😁) right before he would've killed his brother N'Jobu, creating a timeline where MAYBE N'Jadaka/Killmonger doesn't become such an extremist. 🤷🏿♂️ The actor who played young T'Chaka in Black Panther was actually younger than Chadwick Boseman. 👍🏿💯 This thought aside, I want to see M'Baku as Black Panther in the MCU. 💯💯💯 Mamadou Fall was a Jabari Black Panther, as was his daughter, Iya Nehanda. 👍🏿
They really screwed up killing off KillMonger at the end of BP1. Same stupid mistake they made by killing The Joker at the end of Batman 89. Why do they always kill off the best villain at the end of the 1st movie? Anyway, even after killing him off, they could easily have Michael B. Jordan be T'Challa/Black Panther in an alternate universe - just like Keaton is Bruce in one universe and Affleck is Bruce in another - and somehow transition him to the main MCU.
Killing him off screen from an illness and making us relive that tragedy was the dumbest thing they’ve done And then to have the queen die later in the movie and undermining the first death was the second dumbest thing they’ve done
Okay... I'm not blaming Josh for this. (I know. I know... WHAAAAAAAT???) But people who are loyal to the Black Panther Wakanda Forever storyline were already saying that Toussaint should be aged up to play T'Challa since that is his real name anyway.

more black man for play brand new black panther in the mcu in 2026 today now yes are no 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
🤷🏿♂️... but of course 🙏🏿. 🤷🏿♂️
The actor who played young T'Chaka in Black Panther was actually younger than Chadwick Boseman. 👍🏿💯
This thought aside, I want to see M'Baku as Black Panther in the MCU.
Maybe Doom killed T'Challa. Maybe he kills T'Challa All across the Multiverse because he's important.
Unspecified disease? How curious...
it’s gonna be t’challa ii from the future

This man’s nerd power is over 9000!!!
His son needs to be recasted as a teenager or he needs to recasted as an alternate. Only acceptable options.
Killing him off screen from an illness and making us relive that tragedy was the dumbest thing they’ve done
And then to have the queen die later in the movie and undermining the first death was the second dumbest thing they’ve done
Be that as it may. That’s like saying Hugh Jackman isn’t Wolverinne
Please don't replace him with a hologram for fuck sake please no AI
Recast T'challa, Chadwick Boseman Doesn't Want T'challa Die With Him
Can someone help me out with the “comic book precedent” for a multiversal aged up tchalla Jr going on a space-cation with shuri ?
Ryan wanted to re cast that was Feige who did that
I would love to see Denzel Washington as an older and more experienced Black Panther in the avengers movies i think that would be awesome
Terrible idea
I hope they use cgi facial likeness of Chadwick boseman on the actor and use him for black panther 3 and mcu projects
You never know it might come out three months before
I think Chadwick would want this
About time how many new Superman and Batman can we do heath ledger died joker got his own movie
Aldis Hodge please
Okay... I'm not blaming Josh for this. (I know. I know... WHAAAAAAAT???) But people who are loyal to the Black Panther Wakanda Forever storyline were already saying that Toussaint should be aged up to play T'Challa since that is his real name anyway.
Like, I get that they may introduce a variant T'Challa from the 20th Century universe, but where does that leave Toussaint? Either way, that whole narrative has to be resolved somehow.
What about the older version of T’Challa is from the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda?
Tiamak from the last Dragon..
Ai will probably just show him in the ancestral realm. Or like what if starlord?
sounds like...ANYTHING could happen aaaannd there's a comic book precedent for it!
Michael b Jordan as tchalla from a different universe
Damson Idris or John David Washington.
Nobody wants T'Child. Recast T'Challa son of T'Chaka.
Gbenga Akinnagbe or trevante rhodes
I’d love a Tom Cruise iron man
the way he says T’Challa is so white 😂😂😂😂
Unless he is a part of the new universe manipulated by Doom that you have talked about before.
