that is a difficult one to answer Barb because if you give the right conditions it will be quick but if they don't get the right conditions, they can take a long time or even never flower (some people have had the same violet for years and it doesn't flower. If in the good growing conditions it does go quickly simply because the plugs that I grow, grow in a little 1 inch x 1 inch cell (very small) plus they are VERY crowded among many many other plugs so they fight for space, and for light. What happens when they arrive at their new home, they get a larger pot, fresh soil and space to grow out and they react to this. I think I talk about this in the what to do when you receive plugs video and I know you saw that one because you commented on it. I hope this all makes sense and helps. Tina xx
Hello Lenno, In your part of the world, it varies... All international have to be sent with a phytosanitary certificate. I would have to ask the phytosanitary department and they will check if they have your country's inspection requirements on file, if they have it, they can do the inspection considering those requirements, otherwise, you may have to ask for an import permit from your governement on which the inspection requirements will be noted. (each country protects themselves against very specific insects and my inspectors need this information in order to know what to look for when they inspect) Give me your exact location and I will be happy to ask if they have the specifics for that country on file.
