    We have this same heater in the natural gas version on our 24’ round ABG pool. Its12 years old. We got tired of paying for pool heater service and found your video on You Tube. We watch the video every year in May when we start up. We’re located in Western Pennsylvania. This heaters keeps our pool warm for us, especially after several days of rain have cooled the pool water temp into the low 70s. Thank you

    I am amazed at your level of knowledge and parts inventory... I'm always having to go to the supply house to get something I haven't come across before. thank you for taking the time to make and post your videos.

    Nice Job Steve, I work on one of them about every week, And always change the pilot generators, And yes the wires are always a problem.

    Nice fix Steve, I've seen thru the wall a/c units on a house right next to the ocean that was not working (no cool call) when I slid the chassis out of the wall every control connection to the unit was rotted to the point when you just touched them they would just fall off. The unit was only five years old compressor fan motor all ok but would have had to rewire and replace all the control switches thermostat And all the wires insulation were all cracked and splitting it's amazing what salt air does to an appliance in a short amount of time. Nice video thanks for posting.

    We just moved and the new house we are in now has an old Teledyne Laars ESG175 millivolt-style pool heater. There is propane in the buried tank, but I can’t get the pilot light lit. I’m getting a spark from the piezo unit, but the pilot just won’t come on at all. Where should I start? I can’t say it’s the generator yet because it’s not even getting the chance to get hot enough to generate any voltage. Thanks.

    Great video Steve!...I have a millivolt pool heater...how do you know if the pilot generator goes bad, or the valve?

    • @stevenlavimoniere
      @stevenlavimoniere  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hllywd964 if you pull one of the lead of the generator and keep the piolet on it should read more them 550 to 500 milivolts if not it needs to be replaced

    That reminded me i need to get a pocket Carbon monoxide detector. Those propane pool boilers can get to burning pretty rank. Found one the other day with a little bit of refractory fallen on part of the burner 15k ppm and so much soot. Bad stuff. Good video Steven.

    I was wondering why two heaters...until the shot of the pool. From wax rings to ohm meters...if I lived in the area I'd be calling you to keep my Hydronic system running. Seems like no one can touch it without introducing more problems.

    getting a 0 error message on my Tandy lite 2 control panel. The floor icon is not spinning. I have checked skimmer ,filter,etc. Once in a while it will get a flow an the heater will fire up an run fine. Replaced Flow valve but it didn't fix it. Any ideas?
