Great job ! Very neat to see where laurel and hardy filmed their movies thank you !
Really enjoyed that, thank you. Grew up watching Laurel and Hardy , my Dad had a projector where we watched 16mm films, laughing our heads off.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wonderful video. Thank you for this.
You're most welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the positive comments 🙂🙂
Incredible almost 100 years
Amazing isn't it! 🙂👍
Thanks for the tour around those locations! Great to see modern day locations of some old favourites. I imagine the climate helps preservation to some extent, perhaps.
Thanks for watching John.
I thought the same, particularly with the concrete steps. I suppose the greatest enemy of concrete, is water ingress & frost. Something that LA doesn't see much of 🙂🙂
All the best 👍
Thanks for making such a great video. 👌
Thanks Lee 🙂 Was great to see such familiar L&H locations. Appreciate your appreciation 👍
Amazing !! how you found these locations 👏👏👏 simply amazing ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
Like many I was brought up watching Laurel & Hardy. My dad and I would watch on Saturday mornings along with Robinson Crusoe and a hilariously dubbed French romp called ‘The Flashing Blade!’ All this long before Mulitcoloured Swap Shop and the like. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Cheers!
🤣🤣 Yep I used to enjoy the poorly dubbed Flashing Blade
@@TeslaModel3Adventures I thought the 'Flashing Blade' was brilliant, as a young boy, I never realised how bad the dubbing was. Great memories.
Damn that sunshine 🙃 Great footage, thanks for putting in the legwork and climbing those steps 👍
Traffic aside, it was a fun experience stepping in the footsteps of Stan & Ollie!
Was a boost to those happy brain chemicals getting so much "bright" sunshine in February!!
Roll on summer!
All the best Rob, thanks for watching.
Thank you sir.
You're most welcome 🙂
Mustachio joke at the end was a nice touch! Thank you for the video, it was great.
Glad you liked it!
Considering visiting these obviously important bit of the holiday for you, quite nice and safe area. So all worked out well. Stan Laurel was born only around 20 miles from me. Think there's a museum.
I was a little dubious about some areas, but you check out house prices in Silver Lake... which I thought was rough, and you're looking at multi million dollar homes!
We've been to the museum in Ulverston so many times, and seen his home where he was born 🙂🙂
Loved that guys thanks for all your hard work.
Thanks Martin 🙂 Happy Christmas 🎅
nice one mate ,,you cant beat a bit of ollie and hardy

Wow. Nice job!! 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely easy-going video or home movie of some of the L&H locations. I wonder if you were half expecting James Finlayson to burst out of one of the houses shaking his fist at you. If only that wonderful mural was in a more prominent location than tucked away! The lane at the 8 minute mark I wonder if it features in Liberty, when Stan and Ollie try to swap their trousers after escaping prison, as they had mixed them up. The little light above the garage doors at the house next to The Music Box steps hasn’t changed in more than ninety years. Anyway, the video was a treat. Thank you.
Just to add, a few years ago I by chance met an elderly man who saw Laurel and Hardy in the flesh when they were greeted with great enthusiasm by the crowds in Cobh, on the southern Irish coast where they disembarked after WW2. He was a young schoolboy who had been let out of school to see the famous comedy duo.
Well that was informative, must get a coat if I plan visiting California again
🤣🤣 It can get chilly in February 🥶
Your X3 loan car really nice. Better made than a Model 3 though not exactly difficult.
The funny thing is, there's been time when I've missed our BMW, yet after a week in two different X3s, I couldn't wait to get back in the Model 3.
The loaner is a 71 plate, & it rattles more than our! But it's a comfier car hands down than the BMW.
Paint wise... that's a different story 😄😄
Who owns the Music Box Steps?
I thought the steps were private property.
I don't know tbh.
We spoke with local residents who were discussing tidying up the bottom section, with some plants 🪴
So maybe the properties either side of the stairs are the responsibility of the owners, but I really don't know 🙂
The city owns the stairs.
Are your kids big L&H fans too?
They've been brought up on a decent diet of Stan & Ollie all their lives 😁
@@TeslaModel3Adventuresgood to hear. New generations should always be made aware of history's icons.
