Many are commenting here about the widow and how she has acted, but tell me one fact how are these parents acting who are washing their dirty linen in front of society. Are they also considering the fact that in doing so they are maligning the image of their son. Who is this father to say if his widowed daughter in law will marry his younger son, are we living in the dark ages where there is no personal freedom? I would rather say atleast the widow and her family has shown tremendous elegance that they have not said a single word in the open.

It looks more like a smear campaign run by a father-in-law. If Uncle Ji's only goal was to change the NOK rules, he would have approached the authorities or considered filing a case. However, he is going to every media house and giving interviews as if the media can bring about this change. It seems more like an attempt to tarnish Smriti Singh's image. His desire to defame his daughter-in-law is so strong that he disregards the respect for his son's sacrifice, turning this into a very distasteful family drama.
