@@TheSprintProject_ yessir! the pain in my hips is gone, BUT my left quad always gets tight as hell. I cant figure out what to do, and my season starts monday lmao. Also i love the editing on this vid, shit is phenomenal
Foot strike is incredibly important because it determines the amount of time the foot spends on the ground which often times determines whether or not you'll beat the next guy. This one aspect occupies most of my time and concentration when training. If correct, it feels like gliding. It's sort of like when skipping a rock across water. In this video, the foot strike is taking a little longer because the heel is sinking into the ground which takes time. I think this is the issue that most people have. It is incredibly hard to fix but possible. Just gave away my secret....

I am especially great in the 100m, 200, and 4x100. Get out there you Track athletes and do great! Peace!
Im your age and am kinda new to track and field, my question is when he says to strike the foot, does it mean i should be using all my strength to push my knee downwards and push my feet into the ground behind me, or is that just asking for injuries
@@mangakavidit4764 You want to be putting force into the ground quickly. Think of it like a hammer or lever. When your arm comes down, your opposite foot goes down with it. My advice would be learn A-skips to focus on the lever/hammer movements and B-skips to focus on striking the ground. Remember, focus on hammering down the arms when doing the drills and sprinting, not swinging them up
for the leg striking, it helps if you pretend that you are "climbing" horizontally with your feet, like pulling backwards to propel yourself forward....it helps to engage your hamstrings and glutes.

Absolutely great video🔥
Thanks man 🙏 you a sprinter too?
I realized after watching this that I actually know exactly what track you were running on as I have been there for school sports. Helpful vid tho :)
Well done sir.
Could you do a video about how sprinting has anti-aging benefits?
I'm doing the research for a video that will discuss the effects of sprinting on testosterone so if I find solid information about anti-aging I'll most likely put it in there.
@@TheSprintProject_ Much appreciated! I think it is overlooked for people over 30 or so because they feel like they don't have the athletic ability anymore.
@@brianbachmeier34 I agree, are the anti-aging benefits the main thing that interests you about sprinting? (Curious to learn more about the audience!)
@@TheSprintProject_ I started to take it seriously at age 31 and did 1 sprint workout per week. At that time I also was bodybuilding and it really helped me stay lean and maintain my overall athletic ability. I am now 43 and still sprint 1 day per week. It is one of the most important physical things I do and I believe it has many benefits regardless of age.
Chido su video. Muy buena técnicas
Gracias Nikolai!
DO you have some indication of a book to read and learn the techniques?
