Popular? Can’t even lay your hands on one in the U.S. they’re so popular. Last year they were anywhere from $30-75. Now if you find one available it’s $300.
Hey!! My vote will always be the Mountain Horned Dragons hahah! The Emerald Tree Skinks are awesome but not very handleable. I like to say they handle me more than I handle them lol. As for interesting I would say both are interesting in their own ways. The dragons don’t move around much but it is awesome seeing them hang out in water. The Emerald tree skinks are super active and always on the move!
Thank you Nat!! I didn’t mention it excellent question! I do not use anything over night but my reptile room sits at 23 degrees Celsius and doesn’t drop below that!
The ETS pair a friend picked up for me from a pet store and the mountain horned dragons I’ve been buying any I see for the last 3 years hahaha. They come up at reptile stores usually wild caught it’s just catching them at the right time. Hopefully soon there will be captive bred individuals more easily accessible
Would you recommend or think it would be okay to house a single adult in a 24x18x24? I’ve got an extra already and have been looking for a handable diurnal species to add.
I do but I don’t have any available at the moment! If you send me your name, email & location on instagram or Facebook I can add you to my waitlist though 😃
The eggs incubate in the terrarium so I don’t know exactly what temperature they sit at but somewhere between 25-27 degrees Celsius you should be safe I believe
Sorry I should have mentioned that! They have clutches of two eggs at a time and seems to be around one clutch every month, they do stop breeding on their own for several months a year though!
Awesome care video! 👏🏼🦎
Thanks Kayla! ❤️
So glad to see you did a video
For these little cuties. I just got my first one. Needing some breeder sized females now.
Thanks for watching and good luck on your search! Took me a while to find my pair but they were definitely worth the wait!!

Great video. Liked the short format care guide. I have to say I’m jealous of your babies… I can’t wait for my couple to breed.

👌🙌
Anotherrrrrrr one ☝🏼🔥
Do you think a 24 x 18 x 24 is small for one tree skink?
I think one would be okay in there for a while but they love to climb so I think long term something with at least 36 high would be better!
Hey Daffy! Which you recommend for better handable and more interesting pet? Emerald tree skink or mountain horned dragon? Thanks for vid

Thank you Nat!! I didn’t mention it excellent question! I do not use anything over night but my reptile room sits at 23 degrees Celsius and doesn’t drop below that!
Hi where did you get a pair and a pair of your mountain horned lizards ???

I’m came for the skinks … kept watching for Fadi
I think im cooler than the skinks too but most people wouldn’t agree 🤣🤣
Thanks for watching Gordon!!
Where did you get those racks that the tanks are on?
Home Depot!
@@daffysreptiles Thank You! 🍻
What type of substrate?
I’m using a general ABG mix in this one!
Have you ever kept large groups together yourself?
Not personally but I have quite a few friends that do!
Do you have any available right now?
Not at the moment! But if you’re in Ontario DM me on instagram to join my waitlist!
Is an 18x18x36 okay for one?
I would think so! They’re not a very big lizard but they are super active so as with everything the bigger you can go the better!
@@daffysreptiles thank you! I will look for an upgrade once mine is fully grown

How often do you find babies? :O
Usually about every 2 months! But the female does stop laying for several months out of the year!
Do you sell your CB babies?
I do but I don’t have any available at the moment! If you send me your name, email & location on instagram or Facebook I can add you to my waitlist though 😃
What temperature do eggs need to hatch?
The eggs incubate in the terrarium so I don’t know exactly what temperature they sit at but somewhere between 25-27 degrees Celsius you should be safe I believe
how many eggs do they have?
Sorry I should have mentioned that!
They have clutches of two eggs at a time and seems to be around one clutch every month, they do stop breeding on their own for several months a year though!
Where to buy
Check your local reptile store or breeders in your area!
Do you breed these and are you going to ship to us
They mostly breed themselves! Lol
I could possibly ship some to the US when the weather gets better!
I would love to keep some of your animals!!
