These guys are so cool, the scales on their backs definitely do look like large dragon scales. Glad to hear everything is going well with them for the most part.
Hey mike just talked to Cody from the reptile shop in red deer exited to see the next vid with his room tour! You should totally convince him to do a TH-cam channel 😂
Nice Dude, I have an adult pair.. And eggs in the incubator...The animals want to move around a lot, especially as babies, and your terrarium is just enough for crested gecko The animals like to bathe and want a big water corner. You shouldn't forget a lamp that provides good UVB.
Water feature in their tank? Never seen a setup with that! And they have plenty of UVB exposure, so I'm not worried on that front. What are your incubation parameters and how quickly are they hatching at that temp.
Wow, very very nice. A friend of mine in japan had some of those and even there they were hard to get, I can only imagine what its like in canada, congrats!!!
They were the only ones available in all of Europe... haha. I'm sure theres some people keeping and selling them but for the most part they are hard to come by.
My dream reptile is Gastropholis prasina. 1 - I love small animals 2 - they are green whats nice 3 - they are very active (comparing to lazy Pogona vitticeps) 4 - they are diurnal so at night time they will be quiet 5 - wont escape to the ceiling as gecko
I have a leopard gecko and a baby fire skink. The fire skink is one I had really wanted, and I'm loving her. I would like to get an abronia in the future.
For sure! I made sure to find a CBB fire skink from a good breeder, since a lot of fire skinks are wild caught as well. I will definitely be doing the same with the abronia. I will probably be doing research for a couple years though. I love doing research. I also want my fire skink grown up and doing well, so I can focus on the abronia.
Damn, the hints in the previous video went straight over my head, even though I love takydromus lizards... How do they like the tank? They seem so fast and agile it might be on the small side
I thought it would be a little small for them too before I got them. However they seem to have enough space to exhibit a bunch of their wild behaviours, I may still upgrade them in the future, or just keep a pair in the size they are in now instead of the trio. We'll see.
@@MikeTytula The amount of plants, decorations and 3 sided background do also make a lot of extra availabe surface area ofcourse. Definitly a dream reptile for me as well, hope they thrive for you!
Mike Tytula I have 3 PDFs for over 2 years now. Can you recommend something that eats the same food? I make 2 cultures a week and have plenty left To feed to the fish.
Mike Tytula very small Anoles, morning geckos… I live in Florida, there are 30 anoles on my patio when suns up. Big Reptile show in August here in Daytona. Would like to prep the tank for something and not impulse buy. I guess maybe another type PDF. They are so easy to care for.
Weird. Why did you have to use sugar, not just water? Tachydromus, dromis?, is such a cool name. Know what it means? Tachy means slow, I know. Nothing seems slow about these guys though.
Sugar is what pulls the water out from the prolapse and causes it to shrink and go back in (in an ideal scenario at least). Takydromus translated from greek means "fast running"
Are you talking about Ashley? Because if you are that simply isn't true. Some of her Malaysia imports and such are mostly WC but most of the European stuff is CB
Did anyone else find the Reptiliatus Easter egg there 👀? Sweet project brother! Super excited to see updates!
It is certainly there! Haha
Is it the thumbnail with sabzi/basil
Nope! That's not Sabzi in the thumbnail either haha
@@MikeTytula dang it I thought it was
Nope haha

Haha wow it was a Takydromus! Congrats Mike, really excited to watch them thrive!
It certainly was!!
Congratulations on your new additions. They are pretty.
Thanks Barb! Really excited about them!

Congrats! I was somewhat close on my guess from your last video! Good luck with them :)
You certainly were! Thanks for the kind words!
Aww they’re the cutest !!

that’s amazing ! you got something in the bucket list checked off , one of my dream reptiles is a super high white blue tegu
That's a great choice! Very cool lizards!
Beautiful new bunch! Looking forward to seeing how they settle in :P
They are so cool! Wicked, active little dudes
I use to have those! I love all the littler lizards like small geckos and anoles! Great choice bro!
Thanks man! Really happy with them so far :)
those are some really cool little dudes, remind me of green anoles in a lot of ways :D
Congrats man!
They are like a mini tree monitor or tegu haha. They are in the Teid family so it kind of makes sense.
Sooo beautiful these are one of my dream reptiles as well.
Really?? That's awsome! They are such cool little dudes!

wow those are beautiful!
Agreed! They have so much personality.
We're hoping to get a pair of Australian Water Dragons from our local shop. We would be taking over their breeding project, fingers crossed 🤞
Auzzies are the best! IMO, so much cooler than the Chinese water dragon haha
@@MikeTytula I agree 👍
Glad we share a similar position!
My dream reptiles are dragon snakes, yellow spotted night lizards, knob tail geckos, and a few others
Nice! Lots to choose from :)
FINNNALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
hahah hopefully you enjoyed!
Honey works too.
Ya I heard it might but I just figured I would make my own solution.

What species of Abronia? Definitely a ton of research needed on them as they are challenging to keep.
@@MikeTytula graminea. And yep, definitely taking the long road of tons on research befor I get one.
@@allysontl3401 Make sure you actually find a CB one not one from a petstore or whatever.

Jesus, I just got one of these the other day, weird coincidence. ^^
Same species too??
@@MikeTytula yeah, Takydromus Smaragdinus, she’s so curious and active. She’s really brave for such a small lizard. ^^

Are those imports captive bred?
They are! :)

Great answer haha
I have an empty 36 18 18 I’ve been looking for something to put in.
Time to do some research haha
