Viktor Axelsen had lost 9 times against Lee Chong Wei before this match! Apparently 10th time was the charm, because in this thrilling three set match, Viktor Axelsen managed to win, proving that he could be the best in the world. After 2016, Axelsen has proven his potential. He got a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics by defeating 5-time world champion Lin Dan. In 2017, he became world champion (again defeating Lin Dan!), and recently, he claimed the coveted All England title.

@@duyman8198 lin dan is lefthander. everything he touch looks unfamiliar. im also lefthander. everytime i saw lin dan playing i was thinking am i holding racket like that? seems odd. same like marin or he bengjiao. furthermore lin dan got a very explosive leaping overhead smash like zhao jianhua that makes that area so dangerous because he just need to smash straight to the backhands righthanders opponent n wait at the net to tap

i think this is the best angle to see how fast the footwork, how high the lift, how sharp the smashes, how short the drop and how high the strock....just amazing.....good job with the video..:))

Lee chong wei best skill are not his smashes, but how quick he can recover after opponent return his smash. This make he able to tap the shuttle when the opponent over height/strength while returning
He is built for the speed. Everything about him is fast. His quick to read the gameplan, has quick feet and quick reflexes. Imagine a player with the game reading like Momota, moves faster than Ginting, plus has cat reflex like Sukamuljo

Hey I have made an observation. See if it's true or not.
Whenever Viktor lifts to LCW's forehand side his position is biased to cover the Forehand front and Backhand Back better.
Any particular reason for this?
I think it might be because LCW's slice from the FH backcourt is dangerous so he wants to cover that.
That is exactly what he is doing. Trying to cover his cross cut
Viktor played very well he deserves it, and you haven't covered some good shots of Viktor giving much importance to Lee Chong
