Aweome video and good advice. Would love to see you analyze an amateur match and point out when they make a mistake or when they do something good, or maybe pause the video and ask the viewer: What shot would you make here? or What shot do you think he will make?" Sometimes a real-life example can really be eye-opening and enlightening.. Could just be a few rallies, maybe different matches and different playstyles.
Thanks, this was great. I play singles in the ladies at county level and I often struggle with sharp movements at the net. Power play is my strongest and weakest style as it often exposes me to the front court drops.
Wow! Aloha Coach Tobias, just did an in depth quick study of your 7 tactical advice. Reviewed each one of the 7 points and followed up on the related videos in the narrative section. I am a lot smarter now tactically. Love the small details in your videos. Each tactic is a winner to be used in the proper situation and gives me a huge advantage. Looking forward to getting back on the court after this pandemic and unleashing these tactics on my opponents. Thank you. This video tied in all of the related videos and broadened my perspective on the big picture of the game. A real aha moment for me. You are an awesome coach. Great video.
Hi sir, I have watched this video not only to defeat the opponent , it saw ur vid cuz i need a Pro advice from a pro badminton thanks sir u have made my stress a lit bit less for pressure
Wow, the singles games tactic that I watch makes alot more sense now. I normally play doubles and the idea of attacking is so different in singles, great tips!
Can you make part 2? You can talk how short players should play against tall players and opposite or how to position after low or high serve. Great video! 👍
Aloha Coach Tobias awesome tactical advice. Thank you so much for these tips. So much great content. Thanks for the written narrative also. Love this tactical information. This is the kind of tactics that drive opponents crazy. I love it.
yes, but you'd realise advice 4 isn't easy to implement on court, you'd need read a lot better, react a lot faster, hence 90%-95% of the shuttle usually go DTL.. Thanks a lot for the amazing video Tobias, big fan !
@@tobiaswadenka8435 thank you so much for the answer,im excited to watch video like this from you!Can you put the right method for breathing too?Tnx again and have a nice day!
Yes i will. Maybe i quick tip right away: Try to exhale a little longer than you inhale. Exhaling slowly helps your body to relax and in most cases that is what you want in between ralleys. You will for sure also find some specific breathing patterns if you google it =)
ohh i never realised the weakness of my friend, he's always been a football and basketball guy lol tip 6 and 7 really put insight into my playing though, i was always locked into the big court kind of play
One big advice and a habit to get when starting competition is to take your time before serving and always aim for perfection on that very first shot. On the first rankings I've seen 30-40% of mistakes happen on that shot as we try to catch the opponent by surprise to get him/her off balance but we do it at the cost of shot quality and footwork preparation. Mental pressure can easily pushes us to commit errors on services and services returns.
Hey Tobias it was a great video , like your every video ... I'm not even a club player actually I learned or mimicked every player whoever drew my attention in outdoor Fields or club tournaments, your videos are adding values of knowledge to my every shots that I've been using in a wrong manner ... Definitely I follow TH-cam for badminton but you're the different one , lots of love from this fan from India Make a video on singles defense , part 2 of this session
Excellent Tactical explanation Just add explanation of Biomechanical response of body / shuttles tractory and behavior on air/ plus muscles response repeat and angular movement... No doubt u have mentioned in smash and tall players but ... It will be more beneficial for many more if u made it ELLOBRATED...thanks for nice video..
Have you checked my recent videos on front court and rear court footwork? They might be helpful as well or do you have anything specific you need help with?
Great Video. Can you do a tactics focused video for Doubles? Like, which shots to play in a certain situation. Doesn't have to be as general is this video.
Interesting advice about lifting to the forehand corner instead of backhand. I guess it depends on the level of opponent but I find most of the time lifting to the backhand causes them to be in a weak position stretching for an around the head forehand or forced into a backhand.
Yes it defintly depends on the level. On a lower level it can also be a better solution to play to the other corner. And as I said in the video, it usually helps you when you are under pressure so when you have to play a higher lift, that wouldn't force your opponent to take a backhand anyway. If you can get him to play backhand of course that is the best option, there he has even less power and control.
Great video! I have a wish for a video on the same path, repeating some of what @Sigurd Seiersen wrote earlier: learning how to read the opponent and be smart on the court. I often find myself just playing on instinct and not analysing the opponent and the evolution of the game enough. It would be great to hear about how you approach this in a match. What do you try to pick up, what do you notice about your opponent? Perhaps a good idea would be to show a recording of some game where you walk us through and analyse it :)
Cool idea, I already thought about making some videos with analyzing ralleys and specific decisions and shots during ralleys but I will also think about your idea about commenting the evloution of a full game or match
I noted that you hold your racket rather low in your throughout the rallies. There were chances for you to tap the bird over the net if your racket was a bit higher. Keep up the training and thanks for making videos to help us! ( ' u ' )
