I think it’s ace I’m just cheap on budget cars and hit them TFR which pretty much upsets the clear coat but god does it clean. I just wax over and be done. Love have time to Touchless. Then cut. Then polish. But sadly £2499 cars don’t need it

Tried lots of snowfoams and what I want from them is cleaning power. I don't care about Lsp safe foams, they just won't get rid of the dirt the way I want it. Ended up with Touchless and I love it. The new formula makes it possible to use less product so great news😎

I think Matt Moreman (Obsessed Garage) is at least partially responsible for this change. He tried Touchless about a year or two ago, and he started talking with Pete Hamber about becoming the US distributor for all Bilt Hamber products. Matt said he suggested making Touchless more concentrated so that it would be more economical to ship to the US.

Really happy they improved the strength and offer it at 1 litre for less than a tenner. I used auto foam for years but the 5 litre size means shipping costs more than a fiver. This 1 litre bottle costs me 13.49 in including shipping. It’s roughly the same price I can get Magifoam delivered but this will be superior.

Bilt Hamber Touch-Less and Auto Foam are absolutely fantastic, and crucial in harsh salt-infested winter areas like we have here in the midwest in the USA. Exactly as you said, it's important to try and get the maximum amount of grime/salt/dirt off of the paint prior to agitation with the mitt, and these two products do exactly that better than anything that I know. Looking forward to trying this latest reformulation of Touch-Less out. Thanks Jon!

Great video! I am using both old Touch-Less and Auto-foam at 3%PIR for both. After about 4 weeks in snow conditions in Chicago, IL, USA. I found that the touch-less if definitely good at getting salt off but road film auto-foam takes the win definitely smells and feels like a bit more heavy cleaner. After using both I think I will rotate between the two using touch-less a bit more due to sugar based properties seems to be more gentle on coating and environment. However, I can only imagine how well these will work at max PIR… I haven’t needed that yet. Excited to try the new formula once I clear the old touch-less I have.

Great to see this, was about to go online to stock up on the original 5litre touch-less but have purchased this now. A big fan thanks to you of Bilt Hamber, one of the few brands that can stand up to the bold claims on the packaging. They never let you down.
Having used the original 5litre touch-less I cannot see how they can improve on it, it really was the complete package and then some. No doubt they have and will be all over this on Saturday.
After a few years watching your videos my final process is as follows, putting it out here for those new to the game and they may get soem inspiration from it.
    1. Bilt Hamber Touchless in the MJJC canon. Sometimes I don't need to follow up with an additional wash with Bilt Hamber Auto Wash, the stuff is so good.
    2. Bilt Hamber Auto Wash and as per your video it's very impressive just how little you need and how that stuff shifts anything.
    3. Apply Auto-Wash using the Bilt Hmaber wash mit. Never hold the mit when wet by the elastic loop, it will snap, mit into washing machine time. The mit holds so much water with very little dripping you get to cover quite an area before going back to the bucket.
    4. Dry off once pressure washed with an insanley great In 2 Detailing green rubber microfibe high twist pile towel.
    5. Tyre dressing not too shiny and smells great - Infinity Tyre Candy
    6. Windows with Bilt Hamber Trace-less - WOW to this stuff, you do not need anything else, those hard to reach areas where the windscreen goes behind the dashboard now made simple with this product as does not need rubbing.
    7. Then every month throw on some Infinity glass ceramic.
    8. Every 18 months after it's all washed I machine polish with the Koch Chemie purple. I use the In 2 Detailing own brand machine. This leaves the car in a complete shine. Orange pad if there is anything stubborn before the purple.
    9. Infinity panel prep wipes off all the polish and then it's straight on with the Infinity Wax Synergy 2 Year Ceramic coating that you can do on your driveway. This leaves me the perfect base everytime I wash. This coating even shines through the dirt. Highly recommend it. The Lite version is great but lasts a year, I have no problem with that as it's simple to use and if you get a chip on your car then no big deal polishing an area to touch the chip up and then reapply.
Anyway that's my process - it's quick it's back and bank friendly but it's all subjective.
Thanks for the videos John, game changers.

I am already using Autofoam and the orginal Touchless and I am well impressed with both. Their products always represent good value for money. I also use their shampoo and fallout remover (both brilliant). I have been using Autofoam at a PIR of 2% and find (for me) it gives gteat cleaning power on my daily, which is wearing a layer of Fusso Coat. Would be really interesting to see an old vs new comparison. Both products at their mid quoted dilution to compare results. Maybe a comparable cost test when your mixed with water 300ml represents the same cost (I think that means 3/4 of the new product vs old). And maybe both at a crossover strength by PIR where new might be more effective, but more expensive. A nice 6 way divide on your panel and dirt simulation there. I'm getting low on touches and hoping they get a 5000ml in soon. Looks like the new product will cost a little more but last longer.I tend to be cleaning 2 cars once a week. Looks likely to be circa 33% more expensive bit if you only need to use half the quantity for the same effect that equates to a cost per wash reduction of about 1/3.

    Hi Jon,
Wondering if you can give a more up to date list of what you use on a general detail/clean now.
I normally clean the car once a month (if i get the chance) but ill generally give it a full detail at home every 3/4 months just without the ceramic coating (I normally use a spray on protection for easiness)
Only asking bc I find that im getting absolutely knackered with the stuff ive been using. grabbed a few bits now hopefully itll change but wanted to see what you use.
    I used to use:
Homemade degreasing/prewash consisting of auto foam and demon machine (this actually does work, you can only tell by watching the colour of the water whats dripping off but i reckon surfex HD will work minimum 5x better)
Bilt hamber auto foam (sometimes it is the auto glym polar foam - or both sometimes)
Followed by auto glym polar blast (i like the hydrophobic protection of this which is why i use it)
then followed by drying, and then ill choose between demon shine (works very well but for a short time) or whatever has been on knockdown at halfords at the time.
Just picked up more bilt hamber stuff but im generally disappointed by the auto foam from them (maybe my expectations or its not the right kind of film to be using it on)
Just grabbed surfex hd, touchless (disappointed i cant find it in 5l now), auto wash, touch-on and angelwax h2go.
Just wondering because I find myself having to really scrub the shampoo stage to get alot of film off. Which in turn is making me clay bar then hand polish to keep the paintwork looking nice.
Im following auto foam dilution ratios for heaving grime but doesnt seem to shift it and allowing it to dwell for the stated times. Hopefully this new stuff will work much better.
Running various pressure spray bottles for pre wash and degreasers and wheel cleaners but also Karcher k3 pressure washer with 2 different snow foam lances (one is better for foam so that gets used for more foaming foams but generally its the other one for bilt hamber stuff just because its not needed to foam)

The biggest big bear when you do a video of good products such as touch less is that everyone else gets on the band wagon and then people who regularly use these great products can’t get hold of it for toffee!! Please put a warning up when a new video is inbound so we can stock up before everyone else clears the shelves lol.
Keep up the great work. Hope the porker gets well soon.

Thanks for the info and all of the great videos. Touch-less is finally available from a distributer that I can buy from for the US and I can't wait to try it.
Quick question: since Touch-less and Auto Wash are pH neutral, what do you use for periodic cleaning to get more of the road grime and industrial fallout off that a pH neutral foam or shampoo doesn't get? I've heard some people say they will just add a little APC to their wash bucket of pH neutral shampoo to get the road grime off. Any experience with that?

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Ph means nothing m8. People that tell you about it don't understand it at all. The whole ph neutral thing is just an industry trick. Because you blend and balance components in a detergent. You could use a strong caustic base of sodium hydroxide and balance it out with another component. But you overall blend could be caustic. Because it's loaded with naoh

    • @johndoe6032
      @johndoe6032 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@icDetailing Thanks! Seems like all I hear from other detailing channels is a more base or acidic shampoo is needed time to time to get more of the road film off that pH neutral shampoos will never clean. I'll do my cleaning with just the BH touch-less and auto wash for a while and see how it goes.
I feel your channel is more credible because it seems much less like you're trying to really sell any products and those you do wholeheartedly endorse are pretty constant. Even in your BH sponsored video you weren't afraid to say that one of their products came in third in your product shootout. Third may seem pretty good, but for the product maker I'm sure they would rather hear you say first or not say the rank at all.

So is this replacing the old touchless then?
It’s amazing they have managed to get more cleaning power, the previous version already did such a great job. Interesting that they are wanting to improve something that has and still is doing so well rather than focusing on something new

    Great video.
I have no idea how you can get 3 cars out of one of them lances. I am using almost the whole lance per car.
I suppose, that said, I am cleaning a T6.1 Caravelle, and an Audi A8, so not small cars. But I am using half the lance on my Focus that isn't so big.
Looking forward to trying this though.

Hi Jon, nice video and testing. I was about to buy some touchless a few months ago so glad I held off otherwise it would have taken me an age to get through!
Question for you. Has this release got anything to do with Obsessed Garage's impending introduction of stocking BH? I remember in one of his earlier videos he didn't like the dilution and was asking Pete to make it more concentrated. Could these be linked and therefore something with the American market in mind?
Nice price for us in UK nontheless but did wonder...! Thanks

You're not using it at it's PIR ratio then, don't know why as it's on the back of the bottle and very easy to follow the proceedure

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

it should be removing the vast majority of the road film at 4-5% PIR. not all of it. but vast majority.

  • @79blustone

Also, I think maybe this would do well for the export markets, as big bottle create space and there's only so much you can fit into a container and ship around the world. Smaller bottles will fix that. In the US its an expensive product so again that will address that. Bilt Hamber not only make amazing products they actually think about their customer base. I can't see any of their 'Version 2' product I'll call it, out in a 5ltr bottles yet..... plenty in 1 ltr bottles, 5ltrs suits me better, as I use it from Autum to early spring then switch to Kosh Chemie GSF in the summer unless the car is filthy thet I tend to knock back my PIR to 2%. Also, being British, I don't care about shaving cream style foam in the slightest as that has absolutely no effect on cleaning power. I just want performance. This is permanently in my wash process and cannot ever see myself switching this for another brand. Its by far the best snowfoam on planet earth. Much like most their other line up. 🙌

I use auto wash at the moment. but car chem 1900:1 was the winner of my shampoo mega test thing I have that also to use when auto wash runs out. autowash requires leap of faith to use because when you use it at 1:2000 its not so foamy. its not like rich. it has no smell. but I trust it as a BH product so I just use it. But I would happily use any pure automotive shampoo from most brands. most work fine.
