Awww! Too sweet! Mama and baby are precious! That little girl is adorable as well! Good luck with the calves in the freezing cold! Love and blessings from this old Bama girl! 💗💙💗
So I just finished watching all of the videos that you have posted. Awesome! My wife of 50 years and I have lived in Minnesota all of our life, presently near Bemidji Mn, up north, for the last 15 years. We have made at least 30 trips to the black hills. When we had horses we made 5 trips to ride in the hills. Since 2014 we have been bringing our atv’s or now our side by side to the hills for at least two weeks each year. We stay at Mystic Hills Hideaway and have ridden all over the hills. It is really fun to see who owns some of the cattle we see as we ride through the hills. My wife and I both grew up on farms, so we can relate. You have done a fine job of sharing! Love it, keep it up! P.S. we always close the gates! 😉
As always a beautiful wife taking good care of her husband and baby. You look great Damaris. Nice try trying to persuade the cows. Never fails when the barometric pressure changes. I pray you don't lose any calves and your family stays safe.
Carson, as you know, the momma's may be a little bit wild but that means that they take their role of mothering calves very seriously. As you have stressed to us, its better to have a momma cow a little protective of her calf than one that leaves her calf and doesn't care. Your Angus cow are good mothers! You & Dad are doing a great job! 👍
12:34 PM 2/22/23 This morning we got 1” of rain pushing NE right into the Cold your in now. It is gonna feed more moisture into it turn into snow ❄️ Be careful take care of the herd and family. God Bless You
That rotten storm is entering Minnesota today. At least I am 200+ miles NW of the TC, so I am only supposed to get a few inches of snow (4 already) but still supposed to get blizzard type winds. Glad you were able to get majority of cows closer--kudos and deep respect for all the hard work you have done and will be doing. Twins and they are huge! Mama was really watching and checking her babes. They all look so good.
Twins! How fun. Glad you were able to get the brand new calves in where they'll be warm. The calf that was giving kiddo rides was so chill about the whole thing. Glad he got a hug 🤗 . Hope all animals and people are able to get through the storm unscathed. 🙏🌨🌬🌞
Awesome video Carson. I think it’s eye opening for a lot of people to see the struggles of eanching and farming when it comes to livestock and dealing with Mother Nature. Enjoyed watching g that little girl be so happy. Great to see Jacques. Would be interesting one day to hear the story of how he came to be on the ranch after being from a country so far away. Hope you didn’t lose to many calves. Demaris is so beautiful. God bless you all. As always your brother in Christ.
Great video! I'm glad that you share the good and the bad, your reasonings and you concerns. It makes me feel like a real part of your journey. Have a blessed week and I'm praying 🙏 for the weather to change up more quickly than expected.
A storm like this was described, in Marie Sandoz book Old Jules. A very interesting historical. A million thanks for keeping me entertained, and supplied with cheeseburgers. J.D.
086 is a good mom, you do not want to get hurt, but nice to see her want to protect her baby. A farmer I worked for when I was young had a 9N ford he flipped the back tires on so we could pull the calf in by the tractor but still able to get away if a cow was to protective. You have a beautiful family Sir. Hope you all stay safe and healthy. I think we are getting your storm you had over here by the Mississippi River.
We just have to pray that the mama cows heard you telling them to wait a couple more days. Now, whether they are able to do that, is a whole different story. Your videos are always interesting! I don't envy the cold snowy weather. I've not seen snow this winter - so far. You have a beautiful family!
Good morning. What a delight Millie is! Look out Silas you are going to have a calf riding cousin. We are going to get that storm here today. They are calling for hours of freezing rain. Which is not good for power lines. Take care and Hugs for Damaris .
I was watching I think in 2021, on VW Farms, Andrea was out checking the cows and calves. As Andrea was working on a calf the momma just rammed her. Knocked her back about 6 - 8 feet. Didn't break any bones, but she was sore. That momma did not back up and then go at her, she didn't need to,.
Great footage of Millie riding on the back of the calf. I thought the calf would freak out and try to run but it stayed pretty calm. That storm is coming to our area today and they are calling for snow in Illinois by the Wisconsin border. Hope that all of the cows and calves weather the storm ok.
Great video again I look forward to your posts, all the time, and I get amazed at how you work your farm, in unheard conditions. God Bless you all, and so much Stay real safe 😇 Thank you
You never know what to expect with the weather. Calves looking good. We are getting an Ice Storm today here in Central Iowa. Thanks for sharing. O, that little girl is ready to be a cow girl. Funny kid. See ya
Oh no! This was my very worst fear! That our brutal storm would also impact you guys. Im so grateful that you have plenty of indoor options but that sure doesnt fix everything does it?Now fixing that mean cow? Perhaps freezer camp? LOL! I awoke to 35 below zero wind chill temps here this morning and bad snow drifts that have now covered over our windows up to about 8 feet tall. There's a LOT of hard work ahead. I'll be keeping you, the family and all the animals in my prayers as we go about caring for all of our animals too. Stay safe, as warm as you can and hug that beautiful wife and baby too!
Wow!! You have been in the eye of the storm haven't you? Winter here in north central Nebraska hasn't been easy either. Old timers say it's been like winter used to be. Stay safe.
Hope you have good luck with the calves. It's hard being a rancher and going through this but its part of the job I guess. Hopefully everything and everyone makes it through the storm.
A wonderful sight to see. It seems that (mild) February has it’s drawbacks also. Hope you can weather the storm for the next few days. Great work and Good luck.
those lil calves are about as cute as Silas. Stay warm Carson, thank you for all that you and your family do and dedicated to in agriculture and ranching especially since you get no snowdays.
My experience with calving when the weather would change triggered the cows to start calving good luck hope you don’t loose any in the bad weather love watching your videos
Oh wow!!!!! All your calves are so nice!!!!! This weather has been crazy everywhere this year….. When the weather changes from warm to rainy and cold it is brutal on all livestock…. That Silas is sure growing fast…so cute too… Hopefully your calves survive this wild weather… Until the next video…Stay safe and warm…❤
We have a sleet storm going on. This is just the best part. It's going to get worse later. A couple employers I know of near me are closing down early and letting their employees go home before dark.
We was one of the first to use Semiebulls o our Herefords in the Crow valley Grazing Ass in northeast started Coloradowith Black Semie bulls great choice we had yearlings gain over 3 1/2 pounds a day on grass at the CSU Expermental Range Station
Those rank cows raise the best calves year after year. Worth keeping them around in my opinion. We’ve been using some simmetal/angus on dairy couple day old calves bringing $3.31 a lb and they’re the heartiest calves I’ve ever seen.
Praying for you and your family and animals that the next couple of days go easy on all. I have learned so much watching your channel. I love cows and the calves are adorable. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Like you say, death does happen. I raise sheep in NE North Dakota. If you have livestock you will have deadstock. Just gotta keep it to a minimum. You guys are awesome.
Haha gotta love them crazy ones your making me think of our calving season wich is around the corner, I've had many close incidents with ornery cows but one thing about them u don't have to worry about there calf they will be protected & r usually one of the biggest in the fall, like how your always counting your blessings bud, good luck!
🇫🇷 impressive and great family /great video .. -10 F ie -23 Celsius right ? ? Wow. .., and you might even loose 20% calves in the worst year? No barn to shelter all of them ? Seems weather conditions are very awfull some bad years at your place … keep safe and crossing fingers for you and family
We are getting pounded here! 40 mph wind all night then the snow hit around 4 am! Shops closed today and we don’t care! Nothing pressing! You guys be safe out there! Have Your man rope that crazy one and see if he can hold her while you tag the calf! LOL!!! Those youngins are as cute as they come!
We pray you and your loved ones and all the cows and calves come through the next few days!
..MA NATURE STRIKES AGAIN, KEEP SAFE AND WARM...
Will be praying for your family and all the cows and calves! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
All those babies are adorable. Hope they all make it in the cold. Blessings to you and your family from Mississippi
One calf last night. Minus 41 windchills this morning. Brutal. Stay safe young man. Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Praying all goes well. Stay warm!
Powell, Wyoming; Tough storm. Hard on livestock. -8° and -35° (wind chill) The Soup looks great.
Awww! Too sweet! Mama and baby are precious! That little girl is adorable as well! Good luck with the calves in the freezing cold! Love and blessings from this old Bama girl! 💗💙💗

Little ones are so great. The spice of life.
I’m getting quite an education. I’m a city girl, but loving watching every thing. You all work so hard on your farm. Many blessings to all of you?
I've always liked simmental, we had a show string of them back in the 70's early 80"s. That 86 cow will make a fine hamburger.
What cute little girls
wet and real cold thereafter ..challenge for sure.. good luck...keep them coming ! thanks for bringing us along... peace

While your out protecting and saving your cattle in difficult weather ....the corn and soybean farmers are sitting in their warm homes

Big storm making its way north and east.
Don't miss the perpetual winters of military days.
Hope not too many calving issues.

We'll be watching to see if the cows waited the two days like you asked....Great video! Blessings.
Poor little guys, always feel bad for them at that age when a storm comes in.
Man love the vids, makes me think of my papaw and his brothers raising cattle 40 years ago.

Millie’s a trip!
Do you have barns to put the cattle in to protect them from the cold

All the best! I’m surprised you don’t have a family milk cow!
Hope you have good luck with the calves. It's hard being a rancher and going through this but its part of the job I guess. Hopefully everything and everyone makes it through the storm.
Fun watch your family growing up and your interaction with them. So she isn't allowed to scream in the house.
That looks super crapy outside. Stay safe out there. God Bless
A wonderful sight to see. It seems that (mild) February has it’s drawbacks also. Hope you can weather the storm for the next few days. Great work and Good luck.

Carson when you turn the bulls in with the cows do you figure 1 bull for 25 cows? Or do y'all figure it another way?
Man, that's a pile of calves. Money on the hoof
Cows dont listen when the barometer drops so do babies be careful of 86 she looked pretty spirited

Herding new born calves is like trying to herd cats.
