Thank you for watching! ✨This is only the first day of a 3.5 week trip to Japan - so in case you don't want to miss a video from the Japan series, you should consider to stick around the channel. Thanks for your kind word Teo, this means a lot! I have only scanned in a hand full of rolls, so the majority of my images from the trip is still a surprise for me as well
So much to say! I love the chilled vibes, the half vlog half photowalk, the locations, the food, and of course the wonderful photos! Really looking forward to more.
Karin, so good to see your work and exploring again. Japan is a remarkable visual with so much color & vibe. I often imagine shooting cherry blossoms w ISO color reversal film. There is so much to see and taste in Osaka--a foodie destination. Happy shooting and learning about this culture ❤
This series will be a fun ride! Last year in October I was in Kyoto/Osaka for the first time, so I'm looking forward to all of your experiences/ pictures!
October sounds like a great time for a Japan trip as well! Did you get to see some autumn colors during that time already? :) Thanks, I am also looking forward to editing the next photos and videos!
@@KarinMajoka For fall colors, we were there a bit too early (totally underestimated that I hoped for that😅) but we got the full greens of everything and top temperatures of 25°C and in the Night about 14°C. So pretty comfortable. :)
You can tell how your style has changed even in 6 years time. Oddly enough, the Konica TC was the first camera I ever purchased back in 1995! Beautiful shots, cant wait to make it to Japan myself, a real photographer's heaven!
Thanks so much for the comment, I appreciate it a lot! Oh yes, Japan is a real heaven, not only for street photographers but also for people interested in landscape photography :)
Thank you for yet another inspiring video. I like the style you made. Calm, fun and good mixture of experience and photo shooting. 😃 Looking forward to coming videos from Japan.
@karinmajoka really nice video! Like the overall look of it. Video and Pictures fit pretty well together ☺️ in terms of look: do you scan the negatives yourself? They look really nice and clean!
You had the Japan trip of my dreams !! Last year i went with my family and shot partly in film but it was bit much for me juggling with digital and handling all the anxiety of managing travel with film. But there is nothing like Japan. Hope to go there soon again
Great video Karen. You took TWO Leica’s….to JAPAN! At least you tried to make up for it with a Fuji and an Olympus. Japan looks wonderful, looking forward to the rest of the series.
Straight fire as always... thanks for your videos, Karin! Curious about how you edit/don't edit film photos, though-- I've shot Gold indoors and have never gotten the white balance to look as good as it does in the shot at 14:43...
Great video and awesome shots! Can't wait for the upcoming videos and images, since you had a tone of different film stocks with you :) And I'm also curious, if you purchased any new camera :D Grüße und dir ein schönes WE! :)
This is the first video I’ve seen of yours but I already am so in love with your photography it’s also so cool to see another woman shooting a vintage Leica!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the channel, I appreciate it a lot! :) I am also always super happy when I discover new female film photographers ☺️
These are great moving images and analog shots that remind me of my own trip a year ago. And I think it's remarkable that you liked the Go player location so much, I also took several pictures there. I'm already looking forward to the other videos!
You get nostalgic about Japan so easily, don't you? At least my trip is not so long ago and I already want to go back haha. Thanks for watching and for your comment :)
Wowww Karin!!! Richtig schön aufgearbeitet dein Trip, finde ich. Gefällt mir richtig gut, dein Vlogformat! 👍 Kannst Du gerne so beibehalten.
Looking forward to our episode, even though this will probably be one of the latest videos in the series. :) Luckily, a trip to Osaka for you is not an entire Weltreise at least haha
Thanks for your comment Joan, I appreciate it! :) Haha, that's the curse (and blessing) of recording footage while shooting: you will spot so many missed opportunities haha 😂
I think film is so nice. It teaches a photographer to be a sniper and consider all parameters before letting an exposure go. Yet, I think the digital age has come a long way and I finally relented and went digital for two main reasons: 1. ISO and 2. The insane price of negs.
Danke für das Video ! Klasse Bilder ! Achja: TITUS T-Shirt....Kauf Regional and "Support your local Münsteraner Skate-Shop" 😂😂😂 I like ✌🏻

But generally airport scanners (especially CT scanners) will most likely damage your film. The experiences and results are mixed with low ISO films, but I would still not like to risk it

Yes, good old times! Back then I also bought Fuji Superia for super cheap in 5-packs in stores in Japan 😩 I was luckily and they allowed hand checking on all my 4 flights to and from Japan! So luckily no film was harmed :)
Nice video! If you're still in Osaka and want to eat American style breakfast and talk street Photography, I operate a café called Country Home Café. See you there maybe! Otherwise enjoy the rest of your stay here!
