I enjoyed hearing about your experience getting and using the M6. To be sure rangefinder cameras and film photography is not for everyone. We each have our own experiences. I do believe that using a film camera can make you a better photographer. You only have 36-40 shots per roll so you are more considerate on each click of the shutter button. You tend to develop more skill looking around you. I’ve been a M3 & M2 user for more years than I care to remember. I prefer the 28mm and 50mm lenses. Enjoy your journey with your M6 and may it be a memorable experience.

Great video you can get about 38 frames per roll. You also don't need to open the flap. Just drop the film in and pull it so that the edge gets into the 3 pronged spool. The close the the base plate. Now go to the film rewind knob and slowly wind the film to remove the film slack in the canister till you feel the tension is tight enough then stop (at this point your film in the camera body would not have rolled back into the canister. Then you pull the advance lever once and click the button. your good to go now and you should get 38/39 shots from each role. I do this on my Leica MP.
Thank you 🙏🏽 Good to know about the flap, makes the process of loading film smoother 👌🏽 For the m6 advancing 3 times is the method described by Leica in the manual (yes I read it 😁) the loading process is a bit different for the MP and as you described it. I typically get 38 frame from commercial rolls and around 35/36 from bulk rolled.
A cheap way to figure out if film photography is for you is to get a Olympus EM5 Mark 3, with a lumix 20mm (equivalent 40mm) 1.7. That’s going to give you far more of a film experience than a 100v and I have both.

@@hipster_cph just make sure that when you drop the roll in it’s gone all the way in and not stuck halfway.
It's somewhat liberating to use film again, no more thousands of digital photos to edit. 🎉

28mm at f8 set to 3 mtrs is a point & shoot 😀 light permiting
