@@StreetbeatDesigns67 appreciate it man! Sincerely. When I was in school to be a diesel mechanic, my teacher from Australia used to say “it’s just nuts and bolts” he wasn’t wrong. 💪🏼
@@linksgarage1985 Did your teacher describe dry areas as "dry as a dead dingo's donger" ? Maybe he kept that one quiet! Great stuff mate your work inspires us to have a crack at stuff we may not have thought we could do. I'm going deep over Christmas doing spark plugs on my CBR1100XX. Easy job on my DRZ but it's all the same right? I've bled the brakes/clutch and changed the coolant myself, it's very satisfying and therapeutic. Dewey is working wonders on the new engine!
@ blackbird!!!!!! One of my all time favorite bikes. Had a poster on my wall growing up. Never heard the Dingos Donger. But he did used to say “shaking like a shitting dog” 🤣. Dewey is a master. Glad he’s helping me. And I appreciate the kind words. And always appreciate you watching!
Your attention to detail is admirable and one of many key factors that separates you from the chaff out there. This is an incredibly interesting project many of us will follow closely for sure . So cool .
@@TRyanLearnBikes thanks man. I’m pumped to see the project happening. Trying to build a legend and do it the right way. I think it’s going to pan out nicely. Thanks for tagging along! 💪🏼
I don't own one anymore but im still very exited on what you will do to it. 2 of my friend acheived 50-55hp out of this badboy with bigbore, stroker. Cylinder head can be ported.!!! but the +1mm on exhaust was not a good idea. we decided to get 4 +1mm kimble white SS valves and springs because stock valves are pressed 2 piece. They are known to separate themself with wild camshaft. We had the previous compcams stage 2 wich are supposed to be wilder. We messed up bad with this. DRZ e cams, DRZ e cdi, would be better choice. We wasted $$$.
@@linksgarage1985 Its just that the stock (SM model) CDI rev limiter is lower than the E. And our cam was stage 2. So it killed all low end grunt, and it was cutting out before making full power at the required rpm powerband of stsge 2.
Had to laugh at the "i'm not a mechanic" description. You're doing better work than a LOT of mechanics would, probably the majority. Great videos man
