I love this build! 3 incredible trucks all coming together to make something truly epic. And the excitement when you took that test drive was contagious! Great work and congrats on a job well done!
Im 63, back in 77, i had a 77 Hilux 4sp sb, that i built, I added a header, and hotter cam and 4 weber side draft carbs.. that little 18r was extremely quick and would smoke the smog dog Trans ams and Camaros of the same year up to 60mph
I've had 3 Hilux utes. The first was a 93 single cab with 2.4 and auto. The other 2 were 83 Hilux dual cabs. The first was a 4WD with a 253ci Holden V8 with a 4 inch body lift and 33×12.5×15 Maxxis Mudders. The second was a 2WD and had a 4L Lexus V8, auto, a full size radiator with twin thermo fans as an oil cooler for the auto under the tray and a 3.9 geared 9 inch diff. The 4WD one was fun but that 2WD went like a scalded cat and got 25mpg at 60mph on the highway, I had a big smile on my face every time I drove it.
Congratulations, my friend! I’m following you from Chile, South America, and I’m so happy that a young person like you is able to save these excellent machines from the compactor! Keep it up and bring us more content like this; great job! Also, what a beautiful place you live in.
Drove a 1970 Toyota, as a teenager, for about 200,000 miles. 40 years later I still wish I had it back to drive. Love the build. Always love projects that make the owner happy without concern what the Internet appreciates.
I'm not one to usually leave a comment, but man, this has to be the ultimate Hilux for sure!! V8, 4WD, and all mashed into that pretty little cab. Well done, sir, definitely my dream truck!! If you make shirts of this truck/ build, I'd buy them!! Keep up the good/ hard work!
A 1974 HiLux was my first vehicle, got it when I was 15, 45 friggin years ago. North Western Pa rust bucket, and Pa had inspections every 6 months back then. I became a wizard with Bondo and fiberglass. And pop rivets. And tar (for the wheel wells). A fantastic trip back in time to watch you drive this when you first got it and this video as you upgraded it to legend status. Thanks!!!!!
Dude, that thing is perfect! The 4.7 makes my behemoth Sequoia boogie when I get after it, I can only imagine how it feels in a smaller truck with yours. So sick, amazing build
Hi, been watching for a while. I have to say this is one of the most impressive build's i have seen. I love Toyota's as well so it makes it even better. You have been doing amazing with the channel and you're gonna start blowing up for sure! Love what you're doing and continue to do it! Can't wait for more!!
22:00, gotta say, mad respect for building this. its VERY cool. IMO and really just my opinion, i liked it more with the silver for runner wheels. i think the black ones just look alittle too much. like its a swamper or something. but its your baby, not mine. and its still super rad regardless. I LOVE IT
6 years ago because hearing of Toyotas Legendary reliability I literally got my first Toyota, it was a AWD 11 Sienna XLE. Because i needed a Minivan for my wedding DJ buisness, I decided to lift it 3 and half inches.😂 I found myself a Toyota fan, interested in everything Toyota. And i even live in Toledo, a mile from the Jeep Plant. Jeeps everywhere but my driveway😂 I see why all the love.
Bruh, this build is creative and awesome. Keep up the attitude towards great builds . You never know I may be looking for you to build my 68 f100 . Great job .
Simply wow! Great work my man. You are inspiring me to buy a fleet and create my own Toyota masterpiece. I have 3 Toyota 4x4s in the family fleet and we do need more with age as our oldest is only from 2008.
Too cool, your living my dream I don't know I had. Should start a go fund me so we all can help get a sweet paint job and camper then start a camping series.
Its a beauty. Just need to put in some Old Man Emu suspension so you can customise accordingly. Also the chrome front bumper needs to go on to complete the look.
If you haven’t already, change the lower ball joints on that rig. Use OEM parts. The 3rd gen 4Runners are know for catastrophic LBJ failures. I’d change them every 80k-100k
Maybe some helper bags in the back when your hauling would help with the ride quality, but this truck is so frigging awesome like your saying, I never miss any of your videos....keep up the good work an us toyota fanatics always appreciate 🙏
This video is a master piece. Best thing I've seen in a while. So much work done in one single video. Immediate burnout in the garage is what we all dream about. Amazing truck man!
I absolutely love the power of the 2uzfe especially since I own the 05 gx470 with the 270hp variant.. I daily a 5 inch lifted 3rd gen 4Runner with a 5vzfe so of course the GX feels like a rocket ship !🚀
Wha Tha! Talking about quick fast and all done! So RAD, so Buff. You turned a pip squeak, into a Mighty Mouse. I love this Mini Beast. Fella, I've been trying to work on a 59 Apache, 80's Chevy frame and step side bed, Ford V-10 and five speed, for ten plus years! All's needed is cab mounts and engine harness and ECM. That looks is cool n ole school. But the new, 18-19 inch by 10 inch black with fo rim beads with low pro mud tires with the tire sidewalls beveled over, would be N.I.C.Eeee
Awesome project and video!!! I appreciate all of your content and that you keep it clean without foul language. How do you not have half a million subscribers already!?!? Keep up the good work. I wish we had rust free old Toyotas here in Ohio. 😢
Now that it's already fitted with a XUZ, if it ever blows, you can always put a 1UZ or 3UZ in it's place! With such a light truck, it'll *still* have enough torque.
bro !! you gotta cut the fender section out 3" and move it back, and not hack the fenders , those old trucks are hard to find now, and put two air bags helper for the spring in the back ( that being said COOL Truck )
I love your truck too bro, that is an amazing build! Over here, we would have to use flares for that wheel poke though, engineering etc...such a hassle is Australia.
What should I do with this amazing truck first?
Take it to Crown Customs in Farmington.
Drive it down to me and help finish my random truck body put onto a 4runner chassis project
@@redlineranch. sell it to me lol
Back to Colorado campsite
Manual Swap!
That’s not just a truck - it’s a piece of art.
Seeing that old Hilux get a second life makes me feel warm inside! Very nice.

I have a 1973 with 18R Engine, runs fast and smooth.
Dang dude! Building that truck, by yourself, in a 2 car garage? Crazy! You're some kinda Dr. Frankenburger!🤣🤣🤣

That falls into the category of Beyond Super Cool. Congratulations on making it work.
Dude, that thing is perfect! The 4.7 makes my behemoth Sequoia boogie when I get after it, I can only imagine how it feels in a smaller truck with yours. So sick, amazing build
This man never misses
I didn't know a 2UZ could sound that damn good.
This is an amazing build.
Also props for your video style, it's so nice to watch. Great editing!
Love the truck and your enthusiasm. Since you asked- I’d go with 32s, slap the front bumper on, dial in the gauges and enjoy it!

Wow! Wow! Wow! You're an amazing automotive artist!!! Great stuff. Keep it up.
huggeee props this guy is doing all this with a cheap engine hoist in his garage and taught himself how to weld super impressive
22:00, gotta say, mad respect for building this. its VERY cool. IMO and really just my opinion, i liked it more with the silver for runner wheels. i think the black ones just look alittle too much. like its a swamper or something.

Tremendous build! It needs a name.
Enjoy your creation.

Loving your channel dude. I'm a diehard Ford guy but watching you work on these Toyotas is making me want on so badly. Keep up this kind of content!

Just one word, "Brilliant." Looking forward to seeing what you do next with your Frankinlux, Franklux, Tundforlux...

Congrats on making your dream a reality. That thing is awesome.
You have a great truck with your Hilux Monster! I'm currently putting a MB OM606 Turbo Diesel in a 2 door 70 Series Land Cruiser (LJ70)
Looks so cool. I think some more positive offset steelie wheels and pizza cutter tires would look very appropriate for this.
The truck looks sick, keep up with the amazing work, and love the videos that you make.👍🤘
Awesome project and video!!! I appreciate all of your content and that you keep it clean without foul language. How do you not have half a million subscribers already!?!?
Keep up the good work. I wish we had rust free old Toyotas here in Ohio. 😢
I like it. I see much more potential in this build.

So much respect for this fella.
Another Fantastic Video! Keep of the good work Sir!!!
Needs a posse in the back, and you definitely need some airbags for when you’re towing to lift the backend, and maybe some fender flares
The best part “and my first test” this man is savage!! Love it dude
So rad dude! Love it
So glad u kept the mirrors😎
Congrats, I’m proud for you!!!
Love love love the build! I think some silver stealies would very nice touch to make it look a little more unassuming. awesome man!
Awesome job. Keep up the good work.
That is an amazing build. Even better than Puddin's Toyota Stout on a 94 frame swap.
Badass, bro!
That is so absolutely sick!
That is bad ass!!!!!!! The Toyota V8 swap is awesome
truck is so sweet man good job
¡Excelente trabajo, es me sirve de inspiración! Gracias, que buena idea
Great build! Needs some stiffer suspension in the back for the heavy loads!
bro !! you gotta cut the fender section out 3" and move it back, and not hack the fenders , those old trucks are hard to find now, and put two air bags helper for the spring in the back ( that being said COOL Truck )
Awesome job very cool man, alot of work!
All the cars ive owned with a 1UZ have been absolutely the best
I love your truck too bro, that is an amazing build!
Over here, we would have to use flares for that wheel poke though, engineering etc...such a hassle is Australia.
Sweet combination of exhaust and intake noises🤘
Great job! Very cool truck
Thats a sweet little truck!!!
This is the kind of madness TH-cam was made for ✌️✌️🇰🇪🇰🇪
It is a beast!! Now just needs a lift and she is ready for any load!!
