We’ve been going ld since end of February and in the last month is when there’s been some distance between us not talking as much but still texting sometimes pictures being sent. We lit have a month and half left til we’re together again and I’m so worried that he’s losing interest 🥺😩 because he’s been so distant with communication I have flown to see him 3 times for a week since February it’s been amazing and we’ve done so good except for now what do I do

I’m so glad to have experienced a long distance relationship for two years. It made me open up to a completely different world and now makes my new short distance relationships even stronger!
It is such an eye-opening experience for sure. Even if it doesn't work out in the end, I believe so strongly that it changes a person! Love you girl!

I appreciate your advice and your 6+ years motivates me even more to not give up. It was over 890 days when I last saw my fiancé. Seeing her last month was everything and hopefully next month will be even more amazing than the last time.
Thank you for the tips! I have been doing LDR with my boyfriend for 2.5 years. He is from Germany while I am from Spain. We luckily got the chance to see each other a couple of times, although its going to be other 3 months till I can see him again. Sometimes the waiting in the LDR can be really discouraging and can hit you real bad (I know its something that really affects my bf for instance), although I genuinely believe that with effort and dedication it can really work!

Thank you for this video. It helped fill in the grey areas especially the different time zones (8hrs) and communicating. We text here and there in the day. He fills me in on how his day goes and I’m totally not used to this. I’ve tried to not stay too focused on my day and share some info with him. We are just 2 months into dating so I know we are still learning each other. We are meeting for the first time this October 2022 half way. ☺️ he has a countdown timer. I’m definitely learning what it takes to be in a healthy LDR because my first relationship was an LDR and it was so bad and toxic and short lived. It feels a little like a redemption.

Each time I see him I’m just so over the distance and so ready to move in together. Two years and counting… it doesn’t get easier, you just learn to cope. And we only live 70 miles apart 🥴

So useful advice, thank you so much! I am in the similar situation with u. I am in the US for college and my girlfriend is in the UK for college. We cannot meet each other in person for at least half of the year. So sad. … But with your advise, I think we can work out best ways for our relationships.
Did you guys meet? I was in an LDR too but he broke up with me a month ago. I love her more than anything. I'm an international student in Canada and my ex is from the UK. She's about to head to college in September and she was scared she won't be able earn enough money for us to meet in December. Although we both agreed to pool in money, since I was because I was becoming increasingly impatient (yes ik I'm an idiot) and since I said "I'm not sure about my patience" she overthought the whole thing (can't blame her). I never meant to say that I may break up if I run out of patience by saying that but ofc me wording it that way sort of implies that which was never my intention. Smth I realized late is realistically because we're both international students we won't be able to meet for a while (at least a year). She knew this from the beginning and she was very patient and I didn't understand it fully when she was explaining it. By the time I did realize it and I apologized and I promised that I will definitely change and be patient because she means so much to me and said that I never intended to breakup with her by sayying "idk about my patience" it was too late and she ended things. I miss and love her so much and keep beating myself up ever since.

My GF lives in Canada. I am in the Netherlands. We just talk everyday. Having a schedule for doing phone calls (9h time difference). We just keep working on our future together❤️
i met my boyfriend for the first time after knowing each other for 6 months (dating for 3) a week or two ago and being patient is so rewarding. im going to see him again in october (flying by myself for the first time) and im staying with him and his family for five days. im so exited because im also going to be able to meet and go to a concert with an online friend of 5 years!!!

It's gotten harder since I got a job because there's a 16 hour time difference between us.
I'm in Australia, he's in the US.
Previous relationships I've been in have been quite troublesome. My first one we were together for 2 years but the entire time I kinda felt like I was chasing after him, it was quite toxic, to the point where I didn't break up with him even though it was hurting me to be in the relationship. He ended up ghosting me. That wasn't long distance it was in person from the get go. I have suffered with high anxiety since then any relationship I've been in I've been quite paranoid. Abandonment and such. As previously mentioned we are so far apart and not quite dating again, we were together before but we felt that we needed to work on ourselves. It's been 8 months and we are such different ppl now mentally we are able to give the best versions of ourselves.
I've finally learnt more patience thanks to him and he keeps me grounded. I'm less anxious, plus the paranoia is basically non existent with him I have my moments but I feel myself at peace more. Due to the ghosting relationship I had this almost crippling fear of calling ppl, mainly because I'd get ignored in that relationship if I called. Today I had an amazing experience for the first time in years I was able to call someone without being paranoid that they won't pick up, I know with him that I'd he doesn't pick up straight away he will do when he gets the chance so I just sat in the discord call for 20 mins, low and behold he joined the call we talked for two hours. Our work schedules are a mission to work around but I've never been this happy or calm before and I have him to thank.
Also thank you for your advice it's actually helped a lot, I'm slowly beginning to accept the situation and run with it.
Hey, I'd have a question for you, I hope it's not too personal or anything, but have you guys ever had fights or conflicts throughout the years and how did you solve them via online. And like, if one of you perhaps got frustrated about the fact that you can't see each other for so long and you have more time spent apart then together, then how did you get through that? Us to UK LDR is super hard with the time zone difference, I always want to stay awake to shes ready for bed but it's not always possible and we still got to wait till 2024 graduation till we can meet again

Hello, I have been in a long distance relationship for three months, with a married woman living in Iraqi Kurdistan, we do not have the same religion and as a Frenchman, English is not my strong language. I use a translator, we cannot do video, only text, some vocals and a few videos sent secretly.
