Originally released as a Java-based phone game in 2008, Zombie Infection by Gameloft was brought to iOS devices in 2010 as a 3D action game, similar to the recently released "Resident Evil 5" the year prior. The plot and gameplay vary significantly from its 2D Java version despite sharing the same name, following different set of characters in a completely different country.
Zombie Infection is one of Gameloft's most "Lost to time" titles, never being updated past it's 1.0 release and no longer working on any devices after iOS 5. While the game would open on later devices, it would not save any progress, would crash at the end of chapter 9 and most egregiously would loop any dialogue endlessly, meaning voice acting had to be turned off to play the game. The only way to get the game working as intended is on an iPhone/iPad running either iOS 4 or 5, which has proved to be quite a pain to get up and running.

@@user-di2qo7he3z Ikr. They had a special partnership with Marvel, especially Sony so they used to publish a lot of Spiderman games, and besides that, some other marvel superhero games.
Other than that, they also made two batman games, one is for Java phones which was Dark Knight and the other one was for Android and ios which is The Dark Knight rises.
They also made a few games for Disney two of them being their almost recent releases.
I think the developer of the game was inspired by resident evil because that game is giving me some vibes of Resident Evil.
But the exist on Java.

Literally ahaha, they just took popular games and made a mobile rip-off of them, but they were so high quality that you can't really complain 😅 It is always funny to see the obvious influences in their games

Personally for me Gameloft games is something special games. I remember my happy childhood days, when I was playing Gameloft games on my IPad 1 and I remember one december day of 2010 when I saw zombie infection game. I closed and delete this game after just 10 seconds of running because I was too scared of first picture 🤣 but couple month I ask my dad to download this game again and play it at the first time. I really like this game, because it has many exclusive details. Zombie Infection another one thing, which make me too happy when I think about my childhood years. I really want to play this game again and I really hope that one day I will make it.
I have played the zombie infection 1 and 2 on java game which set in 2011 - 2012.This game set in 2014, that means this is the sequal of the both games.Alex also first appeared in zombie infection 1 game.
Note: They changed the names of the two characters from the first game😅

If you like these types of games you should try the Resident Evil series. It's pretty good and was a childhood memory for me, infact RE4 is the game's inspiration.

I'm glad you enjoyed! This one was a pain to get working, I had to acquire an iPhone 4 specifically, downgrade it to iOS 5 and jailbreak it. From there i used a 30-pin to HDMI adapter to record the footage :) Downloading it was easy, just google Zombie Infection IPA and you'll find a file online

(But actually many exclusive games are made for ios in 2009 - 2012/13)

The only device I could get this working on was an iPhone 4 downgraded to iOS 5, it’s one of the hardest Gameloft games to go back to unfortunately due to it never being updated to support later iOS versions after iOS 5

Fun fact: after you collect all token on every level you can play as blackhorn on survival mode when you got all token on every level but i been looking for token because i want to play as blackhorn on survival mode but i got all token on some level but still some left on some level
Hey bro about Brothers In Arms Hour Of Heroes you don't have to get an old IOS device to play it you can just emulate the Nintendo DS version on your PC. And don't worry, both the DS and the IOS versions are the exact same.
Thanks for the heads up! Still, I’ve got an old iOS now and would rather do a video on that version since the DS version is a lot more accessible so people can play that a lot easier if they wanted vs the iOS version which is quite hard to play nowadays 😊

I’m glad you enjoy them ☺️ unfortunately they can range from straightforward to very complicated depending on the game; some you can still play via an APK on Android phones, but others (mainly iOS exclusives) you need to get your hands on an old iPhone, downgrade the iOS software to one that the games support, jailbreak the device and then install an IPA for the game to get it running. It can take a long time!

This brings me back 😢 iOS gaming around 2008-2012 was the GOLDEN AGE of iOS gaming. Gameloft, Zynga, even companies like Capcom and EA were making mobile games. Street Fighter, Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Lord of the Rings: Middle Earth Defense, GTA Chinatown Wars (still available on iOS)... so many amazing games.

Yeah it's a serious shame, I did the same thing and grabbed an iPhone 5 and an iPad 3 to play this but it doesn't work on either so I had to ALSO grab an iPhone 4 just for this game alone ahah

Well I’d say still give it a try if it’s iOS 7 but if it’s iOS 8-10 then the game won’t save meaning you’d have to complete it in 1 run lol
in my case, the character doesn't hold a weapon, so when I need to shoot the chain, i can't because i don't have weapon for it.

Before the video, I had no idea of its existence. Folk from the comments sections I have been in never referred to it either. Thus, I concluded it wasn't as popular as the rest of Gameloft's titles of the time.

As I saw, you played it on an iPhone that was before IOS 5, so how did you download the game and could you make a tutorial?
This one was literal months in progress so a tutorial is complicated unfortunately - if you get hold on an iPhone 4 just look up how to downgrade to IOS 5 (you’ll need a MacBook), from there look up how to jailbreak it and then how to install IPAs on jailbroken devices - putting them all together alongside an IPA of the game (Just google Zombie Infection IPA) should get you a working version of the game 😊

Second would it be possible to do that in an emulator?

@@skinecraft3809 I think the game had a Spanish option but I can’t remember for sure unfortunately as I recorded this a while back. And unfortunately it’s not possible to emulate as far as I’m aware as you cannot emulate iOS games 😞

There’s a new mobile game every week or 2, usually gameloft 😊 I tried Urban Crime but it doesn’t work for a video unfortunately as it’s more of a time wasting game due to the lack of progression since the game is just randomly generated missions for you to do, but I am doing all of the Gangstar games 🙂

Unfortunately not properly, anything after iOS 5 has major audio issues, won’t save your progress and crashes towards the end of the game meaning you can never finish the game 😭 I had to get a device running iOS 5 purely to get this video recording, it was an ordeal

There were quite a few Gameloft games that were iOS exclusive unfortunately, mainly the ones released 2008-2010. After a point most of them released on both android and iOS, so not sure if it was a partnership or just preference in developing for iOS

The IPA is available on “the Internet archive”, can’t legally provide the link unfortunately but just google that and search on the website 🙂 This game doesn’t work on anything other than iOS devices running iOS 5 or below though!
