After confronting the HR manager about it, she told me I would get my full 10hr pay once i worked in the position for 60 days. • @Kyubikarnage
      @Kyubikarnage หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Typically jobs with "evaluation" pay will pay you hourly for the first few pay checks to prevent newer people from losing money as it will usually take them longer than the route is "evaluated" for. Also the "evaluated pay" will go out the window once you go over 40 hours as overtime kicks in, which means there is a window you want to avoid where you will actually lose pay.

    Until last week, I had never seen an Amazon EV in my neighborhood, strange as that may seem (I guess the Long Island NY warehouses have had a lot of the older Amazon vehicles and third party cargo vans until now). We have a lot of private cars delivering Amazon packages too, mostly early in the day before 10AM or late in the day after 7PM.

    Damn this is crazy. Im a delivery driver (well student) for the belgium delivery service (bpost). Whilst we have like an app and electric evs we basically just get like a big containers full of packages. (which I have to sort manually) in the back of my car.
    Every package basically has a number on it eg res-208 001 means its the first package on round 208. I just sort all the high numbers in the back of the trunk and like the low numbers next to me or like near the back. You could just throw all packages unsorted in the trunk but you'll have a bad day finding the right package..
    Im an IT student and programming enthusiast and I know things could be more efficiently made, am watching the proof right now!
    Would be crazy how much money could be saved actually integrating the displays in the car, using maps like Waze, not having 2002 UI, ...

    Years ago I was a 24foot straight truck driver with rise and lower lift gate. I worked for a distributor for the Boars Head brand. I didnt have near as many stops but we did have was U-Boats full to the top (could be access of 800lbs rolling into a store. Then we had to stock the walk in freezers and rotate out the old, put in the new, than stock the sales floor. Each stoop was an average of 2 hours or more. Never again!!!!

    Delivering for amazon is great if you work for a good dsp. Good luck finding the good one. Worked 60 hours per week in Minnesota for 3 years for a great dsp. Moved to Virginia and worked for a terrible dsp before quitting after 8 months. Longest tenured driver at my first dsp was 6 years. Longest at my second dsp was me at 8 months.

      Same here in the uk door dashing we call it where u just drop and go it's a instant sacked if your caught doing that PLUS doing this means the route gets more and more drops as it tells amazon AI that there is enough time to add more making it harder for the next driver.....
      Sometimes we get ahead by 10 which is fine but when you see yourself getting up to 30 ahead u literally stop even though finish early can get u home faster just means making the route bigger for no reason and no extra pay.

    Ay bro, appreciate the videos. Former driver myself and while i enjoyed the work, I wanted to do something like this to help shed light on how things work with delivering for Amazon. Hopefully, no one will give you a hard time and try to shut you down. I feel like Amazon would be petty about this, saying you can't do this for 'privacy reasons' or something.

    Wow that´s interesting to see. I stumbled across this video as somebody who occasionally does some delivering for Deutsche Post, member of DHL Group in my study-free time. Good to see how new your vehicles are and just perfectly fitting for delivering packages. Obviously our job is a little different as I do mail deliveries as well (actually that´s the major part for me. Comparing packages I´m sitting around 90 to 100 on average, sometimes less than 60 though) but I can see some very good structuring in your video. Something I could only dream of😅

    If you ever find yourself going to the wrong floor or you just wanna bypass the other floors. If you hold down the button you wanna go to, it will just go there. But it's not advised you do this cause of safety reasons. But you can do this. I've tried it and it worked for me.
