This is why I'm glad GM was smart and put the low pressure EGR after the dpf/scr so the exhaust gas being recirculated is much cleaner since it already passed through the scr and dpf systems.

The semi truck engines are just as bad. What was the purpose of bringing in "dirty air" into the cold side of an engine let alone an air filter. You don't let an engine breathe without an air filter but dump in "cooled exhaust air" into the intake side!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah that seems way more reasonable. They discontinuing that engine any time soon?
@@VicsGarage71 nope. They revised it in late 2022 with some stronger internals and an updated turbo to bump the HP/torque specs up a bit.
Probably 10x more emissions due to valves not working right since they're caked in that muck.
Yeah it's scary. If it's this bad up stream, imagine down stream.
And this is a vehicle that was mostly highway.
Damn, makes me consider changing it when I go in to replace my turbo coolant line.
If you're half way there.... Worth considering.. Delete EGR though..
