    I feel great when I declutter in general, only want to keep things that I actually love and use.💗

    Sometimes when i like a scent but dont want to smell like it I realise I can use it as a room deodorizer by spraying one spray in a pot of semi boiling water and the smell permeates throughout the house. You can also use a spray in a hot bath, spray some into your bath bombs or even make a shower steamer. You can dilute it and use as room spray or even add some sprits to dryer sheets and your laundry will have a faint smell of the fragrance. You can also decant some and add it to home made candles. Turn it into a hair mist. Add some to jojoba oil and you got yourself a bath oil. Spray some on a card and put it in your purse/closet/drawers. The possibilities are endless. ❤

      Lots of awesome ideas! I have been known to spritz perfume into my humidifier and also onto the toilet rolls 😂 I hadn’t thought of the bath bomb idea though!! I will have to try that! 😍

    Hi Cherie, I really enjoyed watching this one again.
    You were right, I found you because of your Poeme video and although you think it’s not good, I thought it was great - genuine. And that’s how I found you!!! I’m going through your videos occasionally and I really enjoy them.
    Also, i’m still going through the decants from you and they are amazing - I’ll keep you updated on my fav. Thank you so much once again!

    I love Poeme! I first got it when I was only 15 just before I turned 16! It lasted me for like 2 years because I use to only use 1 or 2 sprays, it was so strong. I had my 2nd bottle in my mid 20’s and now my 3rd in my late 30’s. It’s very special to me.

    You can use your old perfumes as a bathroom air freshener or to spray your car vents or carpets. You can also use them to spay a few sprays of your mop bucket with bleach and some dawn. Also in a spray bottle with water and soap to clean your walls and such.

    • @TheTopNote

    I wonder if you have ever tried to apply fragrance below your waist like legs or tummy or back? I say this bc I almost got rid of an amazing perfume, when I said let me try spraying on my outer thighs and see if its better. Its fantastic. It Afnan Modest Deux, very strong and chocolaty. But just perfect if sprayed differently.

    • @TheTopNote
      @TheTopNote  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Yes I spray on my lower back often. Not always my knees because my usual outfit is jeans. I never spritz on my neck and tend to spray perfume under clothes as I prefer to get gentle wafts rather than be assaulted by my fragrance lol I totally agree that how you spray a perfume can totally change the wearing experience. 🤗

    Turned perfume can be brought back to normal within a 1-3 days in the fridge.❤

    • @TheTopNote
      @TheTopNote  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the suggestion! 🥰 Sadly the “sour” smell of the Bvlgari perfume indicates it has oxidised so, putting it in the fridge is unlikely to reverse that chemical change. Although storing it in the fridge from the get-go might have helped to preserve it. I think I killed it by having it in the bathroom 😭💔 although in my defence it is practically empty so the oxygen in the bottle over several years probably also had something to do with it.

    • @kayc.8283
      @kayc.8283 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheTopNote oh wow. My l'imperatrice by d&g went sour last year as well. It had a weird sour onion smell. I put it in the fridge for 3 days and it went back 90%. But when I took it out of the fridge it went off again after 2 weeks. I now leave it in the fridge permanently until i finish it out. Hope maybe thay might help you as well ❤

    • @TheTopNote
      @TheTopNote  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oooh interesting - I wonder if the off notes were top notes and they are being muted by the cold? Might explain why it reverts after a couple days out of the fridge. It’s worth a shot! I will give it a try. ☺️

    I understand why it's difficult to declutter. To me, perfume is art. I enjoy a perfume as an artistic creation even if I don't wear it very often. In the same vein, it would also be difficult for me to get rid of paintings I have! But I really do need to do get rid of some of my fragrances. 😄

    Sales assistants at the perfume counters pretty much know nothing. I went to Macy’s shortly after YSL released Libre, the sales associates were all trying to sell me something but I just came to sniff around. The gentleman sprayed a card with Libre and I found it pleasant, I said to him is this Orange Blossom? He made a confused face and made some remark something along the lines of “I’m not sure”. You would think they would know the notes if they are trying to sell, especially to know what fragrances people already like and wear in order to refer them and try to sell them on another fragrance.

    • @TheTopNote
      @TheTopNote  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      haha yes I know this now. If I had bothered to take the time to smell that bottle before I bought it I would have known it wasn't the same but I had limited time to get to the gate. I guess it depends. In department stores if I go to a Chanel or Guerlain counter the SAs typically know their product. If it's just the "general" perfume section then they are generally a lot younger and don't really know. I'm ok with that, they have to start somewhere. Thanks for watching! xx
