Good stuff! Glad to see you got to dig some holes! It did a great job with the BX. I hope to have my speeco PHD lined out with my bx23s soon! Happy digging!
In the spring when it was wet….. I had my post hole digger stuck way down in that hole. What a pain in the *** to dig out. And I did drill partially down and bring it back up, several times.
Good stuff Lucas. I almost pulled the trigger on a post hole digger this weekend, but decided to hold off until I figure out the full budget for my project. Looking forward to seeing your cabin project come together!
Lucas: I thought that that cloud of dust was a snail going past you. Put one of those plastic things in a metal cage at the pond and fill it with water. You can put a small tap on the bottom. As for the cabin area, in Boy Scouts we called it a "KYBO". Worked really well. Nice to see your son back for the videos. Take care and stay safe. PS: Hurry up with the cabin. I cannot wait.
Excited to see the cabin build, that auger is going to be handy, just be careful, best to dig a little then pull out then dig more, dry ground is not bad but you get in damp soil and it will thread in like a cork screw and the tractor can’t pull it out, ask me how I know. Except mine threaded in a tree root and my Kubota M6060 with over 4K of three point lift capacity couldn’t pull it out
It is dry here too. Smoke still comes in. No way will an auger like that do any thing here. Lucky You. We snuck a privy in up ta camp, no worries. Now that, is a bucket of water. Lucky ducks! Chris
Used a 3 point frontier PHD200 on a 2 series Deere for several years and have to say it was the most hated implement I owned. From hookup to operation there was not one thing that went easy with it. Unlike yours it would just spin on the ground and even with someone jumping on the head it would not dig in. Only time it worked reasonably well is when the wife would hold a garden hose over the hole and basically turn everything to mud. Glad this one worked out for your but for the folks looking for a new one... avoid the frontier. This unit was such a headache to try and get working properly I eventually sold it at a giveaway price and bought a hydraulic augur for my skid steer and haven't looked back since.
Yeah, the auger and cutting teeth on this one looked pretty aggressive. It really does well for what it is. I’m sure a hydraulic auger on a skid loader is next level!
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Yep, next level but so was the price. The augur bits run around $800 Canadian alone which is the cost of most of the complete 3 point units. 10,000 lbs weight for downforce plus the hydraulics, really need that reverse function when you can dig yourself into rocks! Couple of scenarios where the size and profile of your 3 point would be better though. Think raising your boom with all that weight up front on a steep downhill slope, or trying to replace a broken post in an existing fence, the 3 point will let you get closer because you can get closer to the fence without the quick attach hitch or hydro pump snagging it.
Not telling you how to do what you want with your hole digger, I found that if I go part way down lift up then go down and repeat seemto dig better, just saying.
Got your PhD! Congrats. Tractor Hard! 🚜💪!

You too!

Hope the budget allows you to grab one. I’m pumped to finally own one!

Me either!!! I get to work on the “facilities” for the cabin starting Thursday!

Wow! Thanks for the heads up! I’m about to get into some areas with lots of roots so I appreciate the information!
Just bought the same one with a 12” auger. Interested to see how it does
Wow that was awesome. I never thought it would work so well. I might have to go get me 1 of those.
They really are a back saver. I wish I had had one when I was building fence!

Thanks for watching!
Funny. I have been using my BX bucket to get water to some blackberry bushes we planted that are too far away from our water spigots! haha
Nice!!!
Dang, you got full ground penetration with that auger 💪🏼
Is this a 3 or 4ft auger?

Post hole diggers are one thing loaned out never want back !!!!!
For sure!
Lucas, did you pair it with a 9 inch auger? God Bless
I did
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead thank you! I was impressed with the depth you were able to achieve and still get it back out of the hole. God Bless
You should slow the flow to the 3pt hitch so it will raise and lower slower
Never need post hole diggers again!
I am thankful for that!

I appreciate it. I don’t have a lot of experience with it. You aren’t offending me. 👍
that was a great idea you had to get water to the ducks. thats a first for me
Some forks.
Real forks so you don't bend bucket.
And some icb totes.
Once you do icb totes, you'll find reasons to buy more
