I came across your video. I'm an Indian living in NZ going to Egypt Italy and France next year and was worrying about my wardrobe.! I am pear shaped. Thank you so very much for your insights and help 🙏
Once again, Marie-Anne, you are 100% on the mark. Since everyone likes JLo, all the fashion and entertainment reporters oooh & ahhhh about her style regardless of what she wears. Yours was the only honest review I’ve seen. It goes without saying that she’s beautiful, and she probably doesn’t buy any clothes herself, but the truth is the truth, crazy bulky platforms don’t look good on anyone, nor do voluminous and/or shapeless dresses.
Your advice is absolutely perfect. When an outfit is analysed properly you can see clearly what is wow and what is non. I am a pear shape and was fascinated. Again your comments were very valuable . Thank you Marie-Anne xx
A pear shaped here 🖐️ and thx to your many lessons i could easily detect the right and faux pas styles in her outfits since I apply them on my daily life right now 😊
I find the first dress was my fave look here. Simple, feminine, flattering to her figure and colouring. I would have liked to see the shoes you mentioned too
It's amazing to me how someone who has the financial means still manages to get their clothing not quite right! I'm a pear shape, too, and my coloring is very similar to J-Lo's. I NEVER wear white and usually try to avoid bottoms that are lighter than my top. If it's possible to wear a belt as part of an outfit, I find it always makes me look more pulled together, too. J-Lo's black dress was lovely, though, and if you're a pear shape, you have to be in good shape (not over-weight) in order to wear that dress! I appreciate your analysis of each outfit. You provided quite the education in a brief "under 10 minute" video!
Faaantastic episode! What great ideas and examples. I'm not a pear shape, but I am certainly learning how to observe, determine and choose better! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us!

I think J Lo is a gorgeous woman with a fabulous natural figure. I appreciated that your video was constructive and not catty 😼 I would love to see more body shapes analyzed. Merci et bonne journée! 😘
Marie-Anne, I am overjoyed to see a new post here and it was wonderful. I love your other channel too but here we see you in your home environment and for me that is just wonderful.. I always learn something from you too. Cheers, Vancouver Canada.
Totally agree with you on her outfits, you are so good at explaining everything, I'm 5 ft 5 and large prints say hi 👋 in a bad way 🤣, I so wish I could have you style me, thankyou for all your valuable advice x
Loved your analysis. Wow floral prints suit her! (except the big print) She still looked beautiful in the shapeless dress, if only the cut had been better. It's interesting how she looks so good in soft pinks, pastels and nudes, and not so much in bold primary colours. I had always thought darker complexions could do bold colours very well but apparently that's not always the case. Soft pinks like that blouse really make her skin glow!
Darker complexion mostly have warm skin tones so can pull warm bright solid colors better cool colors. So red will look better than the bright blue. All bright colors have both warm tone and cool tone shades so some u can pull off some u can't.
I am a definite pear shape and try to follow your advice, so thanks for the reminder. I quite liked the red dress but certainly many of the outfits wore her, so to speak, rather than showed her true beauty
Thank you very much for this style tutorial. You made it so easy to understand. This is my “guitara” shape, so your advice is practical. I appreciate the shoe advice.
You are so correct about fitted dresses. I have worn loose dresses because of the heat here but now size down and they look far better. The chunky thick shoes spoilt her outfits but she still looked great.
Love your sylish navy top on this video Marie-Anne! Really agree with many of your comments particularly those around the importance of choosing colours which flatter us and avoiding shoes which are supposed to be the height of fashion but actually just end up looking cheap because they're not classic in any way.
Quite helpful, thank you! I got rid of a pair of wide-legged cropped pants thanks to you -- now I understand why they weren't flattering on me. Enjoying your channel, thank you.
Thank you Marie-Anne! Wow, I love how you described each outfit along with the good things and what could be improved with the reasons. You are amazing! I never would have noticed, but I agree with your excellent and professional points! Thanks again! And that’s the reason I enjoy all your videos, besides you are the fashion expert!
1. Very helpful analysis and I agree! 2. I am not a JLo fan, and I think you’re being generous in your assumptions about her objectives with her wardrobe. I think her one objective is, and always has been, to get attention and nothing else. 3. I love that we are living in a world where women refer to other women as “young” and “only 53.” It’s a good time to be a woman!
Your point #3, I caught that, too! I know women who definitely look old at 53. My grandmothers and all of my aunts looked old at 53. No one would ever have referred to them as young women. They were old ladies. Fat, wrinkled, gray hair, neck humps. They looked old at 50 and didn't change much at all for the next 35 to 40 years!
I have grown weary of the whole "Bennifer" thing, but if Marie-Anne feels she's a topic worthy of discussion, who am I to not pay attention! I love the handbag with Outfit #3, and she is stunning in that black dress!
She never asked for our options What I took away from this was the overall points you were making regarding how to dress a pear shaped body and your comments were valid.
I use to watch your channel quite regularly, Mari-Anne but had not for no reason for a while. This popped up and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am subscribed now. I think your analysis of the outfits was right on!
