    There were so many trial and errors and lessons learned. Dave was persistent and when it was all said and done the final product was epic! Making the metal roof skin perfect so the mold would conform perfectly. Then the multiple attempts to making the carbon fiber roof skin. Dave is very detailed and shows us just how much goes into doing just one part of a build. Something a lot of builders don't do because they want to push their content fast and move on to the next build while leaving their viewers wondering about the 90% of the build they never saw. We see the reality of legit builds in Dave's content. If it takes two or more years, we see it all!

    The one good thing from covid, I think alot of people, like myself. Started watching more and more TH-cam. I have around 10 channels I watch almost every video put out, and yours is 1 of them. The dedication you put in to your projects , is crazy Dave. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see the charger running and driving down the road, I don't say as a finished project, because most of us gear heads are the same. Nothing is ever truly finished. We always find something to change or add.

    People who haven't seen videos like this don't get to appreciate a large carbon fiber piece like that because they never realize the amount of labor that goes into making something like that. Kudos

    Absolute labour of love.
    One if thr biggest thing i appreciate about your work is the focus on creating something unique whilst confining yourself to the use of OEM parts.
    That really shows thr ability to think outside the square while having your own signature on it.
    But you then still take it to another level with your OCD attention to detail (im the same) chacing perfection.
    Keep up the amazing work Dave, i appreciate this kind of content more than people buying a whole bunch of aftermarket stuff and slapping it on and calling it a day, aint nothing unique about a parts catalogue.

      Earn your education by doing. I started by buying a small tool kit and taking on fixing things on my own car.

      Most of everyone has a perfect device they carry on them your cell phone.. if something is going wrong with your ride you can Google how to fix... then you can video yourself while you take it apart and replacing it.. if it helps while you tare it apart you can show camera bolt nut and say what size and where it came from. Incase you get stuck putting it back togeither.

    Really great, high quality video Dave.
    Seeing all the steps, in sequence (can't recall if I saw this all in your previous videos, or this includes new stock) - really helps us appreciate the huge effort you've been through.
    & the fact you went through it a few times to get it right. Is incredible.
    Well done that man. Cheers 🤙🤙🤙

    I'm sure you have said in the past, but I don't remember ever seeing it. How did to learn to do everything you do Dave? Did you have a schooling? Or are you self taught? I grew up in a mechanic family, so that's how I learned, along with just doing it, and not letting the job intimidate me.

    I would like to know why you made your mold in carbon fiber instead of in fiberglass. it would have been much less expensive… 🤔❓🤷🏻‍♂️💲💲💲

      @ravenwp6648 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lol, the whole time i thought he was just gonna put a layer of carbon fiber over the steel roof skin! yeah i too would have used fiberglass for the mold and then add in braces. Weird flex i guess

    Serious question. Would you make a carbon fiber magnum roof for your subscribers? Id love to purchase one !! Preferably forged carbon. Do you have an email?

    • @ravenwp6648
      @ravenwp6648 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hell i would if i were him, he already has the mold... easy way to make some cash and besides the second pull from the mold is always better in my personal opinion :p

    • @hankmoody6996
      @hankmoody6996 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ravenwp6648 he definitely should. I know id save up as much as i could to give him my money. The sunroof i have keeps having problems. Even though its a huge plus for airflow Id still love to just get rid of it and its leaking issues for a bad ass carbon roofline.
