O, Evil Overlord! Ye have made a blunder! The lower glacis on this tank is effectively about 210mm thick, allowing for most tier VIIIs to penetrate it even with regular ammo. Also, our hero didn't do 500 damage with that ram, T-103 hit the Guard right at the same time and made it look so.
LOL. That's the only two blunders? First of all, saying that it's a Maus turret on top of the VK45B... Nah. More like Maus on E100. Then he kept comparing the 128mm gun to a fricking TD instead of any of the other SIX!!! German heavy tanks at tiers IX and X that can also use 128mm guns. Says TM has .37 accuracy, when it's actually .35. Not bad for a heavy, yes? Also yes, lower damage than Jagdtiger, but higher damage than an actual Maus. Also faster reload than on the E75. I mean... he's comparing apples to oranges here. Thinks the pen on the BZ was unexpected, when usually he loves to show off his knowledge of overmatching mechanics. This would have been a GREAT moment, as everybody who played the game in the past year knows that BZ roof can be overmatched by 128mm guns VERY nicely. And that's where I stopped watching. I still do enjoy the WoWS videos, because I don't play that myself and have no idea how much of what he says in those is a "blunder". But as someone who's got a little bit of an idea what's going on in WoT, it's just not fun to watch those vids any more :(
@KhaelaMenshaK You know, my line is the defence of gold ammo, he just explained the whole problem with it then explained it away as just "no frontal weakspots". Maybe if wargaming didn't sell out the playerbase on some German heavy with "no frontal weakspots" we wouldn't have this problem. But honestly, the whole game is balanced around the use of gold ammo and half a braincell the playerbase shares. If you balance a game around "special" ammo, your "special" ammo is not "special" you are.

09:41 No he didnt Jingles. The 499 damge was tracking damage from the T-103. The ramming damage was 24 points as shown by the game 1 sek after the tracking damage was listed.
Actually Jingles, the Tiger Maus doesn't have the Maus turret. The sides of the turret of the Tiger Maus aren't flat, the ones of the Maus are which makes the Maus considerably better at angling the turret than the Tiger Maus. Additionally, the sides of the turret of the Tiger Maus are only 150mm while the Maus has 210mm which, again, gives it quite a leg up (like it, should, it's a tier higher after all). On the other hand, the front of the turret of the Tiger Maus has 300mm of armour while the Maus has only 260mm on the turret front.
Gold ammo is why I stopped playing this game even when I still had cable net connection. In my opinion it is not a free to play game when you have to pay money for special ammo to be competitive. I'm sure someone else here pointed this out already, but the Tiger-Maus actually has a better turret face than the actual Maus. Unless its been changed since the lootboxes went down.
GG well done to Shana. I’m a tier 5/6 player looking forward to the Ferdinand. I love watching higher tier matches to glean some knowledge off the higher tier players. This was a banger. Also I have to say, Jingles you are probably 50% of why I play wot. The commentary and perspective of your videos vibe with my brainwaves. I wanted to say I’m not a fan of the gold ammunition meta either. It seems a transparent money grab. However, I don’t think a tank like this has to be justification for feeding the gold ammunition meta trend. We have been trained by game mechanics to angle the front towards the enemy and fight with our faces but what if a mobile heavy with an average power gun gets around the rear? In other words, fight like a light tank, or a medium fighting a heavyweight. I’m not saying wargaming is not wrong for engineering the gold ammunition money grab. But I do welcome strategic challenges and embrace adaptability. This game, aside from the gold grab, is a much better experience for me than it was in the early days. I’m really enjoying the game these days. Good hunting.
Wait for it, tanks like this one will be appeared in Project CW sooner or later, and it will become the game it's not supposed to be, World of Tank 2.0. WG broke its promises so many times now. I'd say anything can happen.
The other team would have won if that Patton hadn't been screwing around in the low spot and had been on the cap. But it's WoT and there's always at least one like that on your team.
This tank illustrates one of the problems that wargaming has created specifically to sell gold ammo. 10 years ago in world of tanks, literally every vehicle had weak points modeled on the front of the tank which you could bust through with good aim and game knowledge. Wargaming has long since removed pretty much every frontal weakspot from every tank in this game, meaning that you are forced to use gold to penetrate anything frontally.
The only choice with tanks that have no weak points is flanking them and getting the rear. Being so slow, that's the 'weak spot' of the TigerMaus and other Maus derivatives.
Honestly, I've never had trouble facing this thing, the lower plate isn't actually as tough as you're preaching. I pen it constantly without gold with T8s and T9s
What the heck is that Monster to his left at 1:00? A Mauerbrecher? It looks like those folks that made the TOG were up to their old tricks again. And that turret itself is longer than some tanks.
I refute the idea of defending gold ammo. If the game wasn't built on gold ammo, Wargaming would have to balance things by putting actually sensible weakspots on their imaginary works of fiction to make things fair and balanced. Then again, that would need Wargaming to be able to balance their game on something other than their players pocketbooks.
I don't really have a problem with the existence of gold ammo, they are useful against these sort of vehicles. I think of those shells as useful in some situations. The problem is when players use gold ammo against EVERYTHING.
The other choice you have when a tank doesn't have weak points, easy solution is to not play anywhere near that tier or just stop playing the game. Because if wargaming can't be bothered to balance the game properly then they don't deserve a player base
I like the title of the video Jingles. However, there is only one "The Beast" when talking about tanks. That would be the venerable T-55. David slew Goliath with a stone.
Jingles...they made the TANK and the GOLD AMMO. Maybe there shouldn't be gold ammo, *and* tanks like this should have a frontal weakspot, yes? But that option would make much less money...
Very good video, Jingles. Is there any chance for you to return to Armored Warfare and give us some tank reviews/gameplay of that? I loved the information and stories that you gave from the modern vehicles :D
Howdy right back at ya, homey. Shana was a beast, but it's easy to be beastly when you have so much armour around you. Yeah, I spelled "armour" in the fashion of the people who invented the language even though I'm American. Please make sure those lovely kitties get treats and scritches aplenty today. And give Rita my best too. Have fun, whenever you get the chance. 🐈🐈⬛👑✌️🖖
Tiger-Maus has several frontal weakspots, such as a huge weak lower plate and a small weak cuppola (but the tank is tall, so you need to keep some distance to see it). Also side armor is kinda bad. Also just like years ago, flanking is still something that is possible in WoT against big slow heavy tanks. So, no, easy ammo is not mandatory to fight this tank.
@@ainumahtar Yes and no. I never said it was one, I gave other examples. However side armor is still an important factor in frontal engagements because it can be exploited to damage tanks without going as far as flanking. For instance it's the biggest weakness of the Kranvagn (thin side armor which you can overmatch with most heavy tank guns). If the Tiger Maus overangles just a little, which you tend to do to hide your lower plate, the tip of the side armor becomes a weakness.
@@sylvercloud6631 Sure, but it's an argument on the level of "countering" CV in wows with "just dodge, lol". There's lots of lane maps where you can't just flank someone aside from going half way around the map, during which time your team will probably already have lost the game because you weren't contributing but relocating. It's an almost pointless argument, because yes, you can "just" shoot these (nearly) weakpointless tanks in the side, but they are designed to almost force you to hit the skill key, wg have been doing this since they released the Japanese heavies.
@@ainumahtar I'll be harsh, but really this is just a skill issue, and that's coming from a player who never fired gold ammo. If you are sitting in front of a tank you can't damage but can damage you, then you are doing something really wrong. Use your brain. Find other things to fight and you can deal with it later when it's alone. Find ways to flank, it's sometimes possible. Or maybe play more aggressively to get close on its side, these tanks are usually not manoeuverable. Or maybe pull back and bait the tank into pushing into a crossfire you set with allies, I've handled some Obj279 and Obj 268 4 this way already (because they often are overconfident). And if they don't push then it means that they are not even doing anything and you can relocate. So please stop believing all tanks are meant to be handled by sitting in front of them and be more creative/strategic. And again, I don't even know what you are complaining about considering that the Tiger Maus has several frontal weakspots exploitable with standard ammo...
@@sylvercloud6631 As I said, the entire "just flank" argument is just the same as "git gud lol" or "just dodge". It is pointless and hollow, it means nothing, and adds nothing to the argument versus high armor frontal tanks with barely a weakspot to speak of. I know what you're saying, and I don't run into this problem as I don't play wot anymore anyway, and when I did I mained LT, so flanking was my jam, it's just that on some maps you kinda can't get around facing some tanks frontally, because some slab of steel tanks will cut off the one or two lanes on the sides and the middle is a crossfire, which is what the maps and tanks were designed for: to get you to press that 2 key and spend, spend spend.
300mm is no armour at all since everyone does indeed use gold ammo and 128mm hasn't been a viable calibre since Tier VIII or so. But it is a very pretty tank and I wish I had it for aesthetic reasons.
the biggest fault with "gold ammo" is that it just makes players not think about strategy they just sit in front of each other and fire away round after round until one of them is dead....boring there is something special when one manages to outflank the enemy and force them to try and prevent you from just hitting their weak side/rear armor repeatedly which is why low tier is always more fun then high tier... lots more shenanigans and unexpected play
No frontal weakspots??? The lower plate is absolute trash. The effective thickness when shooting head on is not 300 but between 200-210. So pretty much every tier 8 can pen it with standard ammo... And though it looks a bit like a Maus turret, it just isn't. The whole shape is completely different :) The sides of the Maus turret are completely straight. This looks more like a hybrid between a Tiger 2 and a Maus turret. And as others were pointing out: The ram did only 24 damage.... Oooh Jingles, never change! :D
I'm absolutely going to complain about gold ammo, especially in this scenario, because it's a clear example of designing the game in a way to force you to buy it (or die hopelessly).
The ability of WG to pull fantasy tanks out of their arse is amazing. WTF kind of paper napkin vehicle is that? Wow. 😂 Just waiting for a Japanese TD armed with a Yamato main battery gun and more armor than a Maus. Cuz why not?
I don't understand the algorithm, most of my subscribtions are shown on my TH-cam front page, but never Jingles. TH-cam will rather show me a 12 year old video with 54 views than the guy i watch daily and i see in my notifications uploaded that day.
nah tiger maus has massive weakspots, side and rear. and if you find that laughable that the same thing you say to super tanks like the chieftain "just aim for the hull" yeah those tanks dont just show their hull. same with russian mediums and their whacky turrts of 5mm paper but still bouncing everything while they hide in a ditch.

Lol, as an arty player I found the loading time, aiming time, accuracy and armour something I'd drool over.
Well howdy Jingles! Here fairly early again today, one of the few good things about me working night shift now!
does 24 damage "holy shit 500 hundred damage" oh jingles
GREAT TANK!!! A CLASSIC tier 9 easy to learnthat is matched SUPPORT for the tier 10's it will ALWAYS face
Wait for it, tanks like this one will be appeared in Project CW sooner or later, and it will become the game it's not supposed to be, World of Tank 2.0. WG broke its promises so many times now. I'd say anything can happen.
"Holy shit he just did 500 ramming damage."
Tiger Maus: "Get out of my base!"
*BLAM!*
I often imagine that any tank has no armor with 'gold' rounds. So being a no armored TD, get in the fight an 'W' for the win I guess.
Yea... you can do 500 ramming damage with this frankenstein tank, but you'd need a T-103 shell to push the target into you. :D
Hey man... Over 9,000 is a classic and will ALWAYS be a good joke!
Of the loot box tanks, it's the Object 752 that has the best stats. The Tiger-Maus looks OP, but its players don't win more games than average.
Took me way longer than it should have to see that Ultima on the side of the turret .. so this is an Ultra Tiger-Maus!😂😂
The whole game would needed to be re-tooled to remove gold ammo. Wargamming would be better off making world of tanks 2 then changing all that.
BEST CONTENT CREATOR 🎉🎉
it's Crysler Gf all over again with no weakspots, Wargaming at its finest, trying to squeeze more gold out of us.
ramming at 10 mph took so much damage 💀💀
When you think you're early to react, but a porn bot beat you to it.
Everytime i think "maybe wot is fun now" i just watch something like this and go. "nope, still the same".
Everyone has pointed out the ramming damage being wrong, no one mentioning that the Patton Tank got an ammo rack detonation!
Jingles mentioning my favorite heavily armored toy: butt tanks.
9:47 No no no... Please NOO-...*BOOM*
I don't really have a problem with the existence of gold ammo, they are useful against these sort of vehicles. I think of those shells as useful in some situations. The problem is when players use gold ammo against EVERYTHING.
I wanted the tiger-maus enough to actually want to play WoT again; then of course they put it behind a gambling wall.
Maus turret with a hint of Porches Kingtiger turret shape?
This tank is straight from WGs paper-napkin department?
As with almost everything they added in the last years
The other choice you have when a tank doesn't have weak points, easy solution is to not play anywhere near that tier or just stop playing the game. Because if wargaming can't be bothered to balance the game properly then they don't deserve a player base
9:40, never change old man
"500 ramming damage", actual ramming damage: 24. Never change Jingles lol
He did 499 and then rehit the guard for another 24 for a total of 523 ramming damage
@@This_Bogus no, he tracked the guy who then got hit by his teammate for that damage. His ram just refreshed the tracking and did 24 damage
I like the title of the video Jingles. However, there is only one "The Beast" when talking about tanks. That would be the venerable T-55. David slew Goliath with a stone.
I know about the theorethical Jagdmaus. Not the Tiger-Maus.
Glad to see people haven't realized some obvious tricks I used almost 10 years ago lmao
If I had 300mm of "frontal armour" I'd be a bit heavy too. Let's not hold it against either of us.
Jingles...they made the TANK and the GOLD AMMO. Maybe there shouldn't be gold ammo, *and* tanks like this should have a frontal weakspot, yes? But that option would make much less money...
Hopefully one day one of my replays will make it in I've emailed several
Very good video, Jingles. Is there any chance for you to return to Armored Warfare and give us some tank reviews/gameplay of that? I loved the information and stories that you gave from the modern vehicles :D
Amazing
Howdy right back at ya, homey.
Shana was a beast, but it's easy to be beastly when you have so much armour around you. Yeah, I spelled "armour" in the fashion of the people who invented the language even though I'm American.
Please make sure those lovely kitties get treats and scritches aplenty today. And give Rita my best too. Have fun, whenever you get the chance.
🐈🐈⬛👑✌️🖖
The effective armor of the lower plate is more like 200mm... the nominal armor is 130mm. The lower plate is a weak spot on the tiger-maus
yep, that lower plate is cheese
Howdy Jingles
We need some Jingles own-played games I believe...and Dave.
Side armor is not a frontal weakspot
Lower glacis has 200mm effective armor. Easily within reach of tier 8s.
One-sided games, manipulated results through the matchmaker.
the biggest fault with "gold ammo" is that it just makes players not think about strategy
they just sit in front of each other and fire away round after round until one of them is dead....boring
there is something special when one manages to outflank the enemy and force them to try and prevent you
from just hitting their weak side/rear armor repeatedly
which is why low tier is always more fun then high tier... lots more shenanigans and unexpected play
That's not reason to defend gold ammo. It's a reason to condemn the unmodeled weak-spots.
It's called "Patton Tank" now?
Damn, I thought it was the general...
I'm absolutely going to complain about gold ammo, especially in this scenario, because it's a clear example of designing the game in a way to force you to buy it (or die hopelessly).
World of speed, autoloaders and gold ammo.
The ability of WG to pull fantasy tanks out of their arse is amazing. WTF kind of paper napkin vehicle is that? Wow. 😂
Just waiting for a Japanese TD armed with a Yamato main battery gun and more armor than a Maus. Cuz why not?
Gold ammo is such a non discussion. It’s in the game and not going anywhere. So deal with it or uninstall!
Turret of the tier 12 Maus.
So they power creep the hell out of their older tanks and to make up for it they just add an _early_ version of the tank in a tier lower.
its worth noting, the turret is thicker then the one on the MAUS..... if only the MAUS had the same one...
