  • New Balance has just released what I believe to be the most comfortable trail running shoe ever. I mean ever! A collision of the Hierro v7 and the More v4.

    You're review is quality. I'm a big (size wise) runner just like you. But for me these were too soft, and drained my energy because it absorb but doesn't return energy. For me the v2 was more bouncy, or someone else also mentioned it the Asics Trabuco max 2 is really good that's what I hoped the NB v3 would felt like. But keep up the great work

    Question: how has the Trail More V3 performed when road running? Thinking about getting this or the More V4. I've new to the hobby and looking to add a max cushioned shoe in addition to my daily (1080 v12) to add variety to my runs.

    Great edit and review. Are you able to add sizing into your content. A lot of people are moving from other brands and would like to have a good understanding of NB sizing. NB is not consistent in terms of sizing when you're coming from Nike, Adidas or Hoka etc. 990 series are usually half a size down or TTS for others. Keep up the great work. Thanks.

    4:24 Haven't seen any shoe reviewers mentioning this: The pull tab on the tongue also serves the purpose of keeping excess laces in place. Once you tie the laces, the pull tab would be separated into 2 sections. You pull the lower section loose and tuck the excess laces under. Then you pull the upper section so the lower section of the pull tab tightens down and holds the excess laces securely. Nike Pegasus Trail 4 GTX also has this design.

    Just found your channel due to researching this shoe! I casually wear the more v4s and the 1080v12s. Both with fresh Foam. Very clear and to the point review! Awesome production! I tried this shoe, the Trabuco max 2 and the Saucony Endorphin Edge. Comfort wise and the softness to the touch the other two shoes just can't compare. The Asics fit funny and sloppy and the Saucony's didn't feel stable enough or have a wide enough outsole. Also do you have a link on the hat you're wearing? Tia! Keep up the amazing work!!

      I’m so sorry for the late reply, I normally reply to ALL comments super quick but somehow missed this one. Thank you for the kind words about the review.
      The hat is by a UK company called VAGA and they are based the Lake District, also a good bunch of people.
      As for the shoes… I’m sticking to NB for that fresh foam x. There truly isn’t anything like it. I did give the Trabucco a go but didn’t feel it.

    LOVE my More Trail V2, with the lovely wide stable base AND they feel almost as good on the roads getting to the trails, which is important for me, and are very solid in all but deeper mud!! I took them running in winter on the famous Brittany coastal GR hiking route, with huge ups and down, a wide variety of surfaces, slippery conditions, but very little deep mud, and they were absolutely perfect!! Anyone who likes that road feel through the foot though should avoid! With this new version, your foot sits down inside the midsole more, so even more stable I imagine, plus they look more breathable, and the lugs are just slightly deeper so maybe slightly better in mud??

    • @AubreyRunning
      @AubreyRunning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had never ran in the earlier versions and don’t mind it one bit because this was all I wanted in a max cushioned trail running shoe. Love the look as well. Just worried about taking out to ugly trails

    Awesome.. I'm pretty sure I heard a NewBalance rep say that the midsole is a bit firmer to the V4 for trail stability.. Have you noticed it or does it feel the same... I personally own the Brooks Caldera 6 Its their Max cushion trail shoe.. Love them but there a bit Fugly looking.. New balance did a great job on the looks... • @AubreyRunning
      @AubreyRunning  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So here is my honeys view, I take how the shoe looks first. I know that’s a little superficial but the look is always first for me. Secondly… I would agree that the trail shoe is a little firmer but so much more comfortable than the other trail shoes I own.

    • @bigmobizzle
      @bigmobizzle ปีที่แล้ว

      I just tried on both pairs. The trail is definitely more firm. But it still feels great! I actually prefer over the regualar More V4. I'm a bigger dude and the Trail didn't feel like it would bottom out anytime soon.

  • @TheLondonguy

    Also one more question, what shoe would your recommend for running in this rainy England weather or would this more v3 trail do the job?

    • @AubreyRunning
      @AubreyRunning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So… you have the option of either getting a daily trainer which covers all types of runs or split it up a little so you can get a trail shoe as well. The best thing to do is to get a road-to-trail shoe and I have the Cloud Vista and now this one… so would recommend those 2
