    Thank you for the video... saved me the minimum of $200 for a charger that i would not have needed. Solved by making the key horizontal and resetting the breaker switch... worked like a charm af that; no more stopped while going up. I thought it was either a bad battery or a bad charger.

    THANK YOU! At 5:18 in the morning I heard ours start beeping. Fortunately, by following the steps in the video, all seems to be well now. Not sure what caused the issue in the first place, but now that I'm up I might as well get something productive done!

    The stair lift goes down but have trouble going back up ordered new batteries finguring they are to old. Do you have to have a seperate charger or is there one inside the iunit itself.

    We have this model OEM2402 in our home, the lift went up and we can't get it to come down. The red and green lights are on, the chair is in proper position, we tried all the trouble shooting items mentioned in the video.
    We have tried to use the hand unit also to bring the chair back down, but all we get is a clicking sound when we press the button on the lift OR on the hand unit. The green light will then go off, and the yellow light comes back on for 5 seconds and then the green light comes on again...but still will not move, very frustrating.

      Its sounds like you may have a low battery. Try switching out the batteries.

    I replaced my batteries in a Bruno Stairlift. Chair operated fine. BUT the charger has a constant redlight. After troubleshooting I replaced the charger. New charger has a red light. Can find no connections that are not as they should be. What am I missing?

    Great info!! Two issues I have. First, many times when i hit the last step going up, the automated swivel doesn't work and just beeps. Have to go down a little then back up for it to work. Second, the chair falls down very easily when it's up. I tried to tighten a screw on the back, but it didn't seem to work. Any advice would be appreciated.

      I am having the same problem with the swivel. It is intermittent but still a pain. Since it doesn't happen all the time, techs are at a loss.

    • @stevanhinckle3837
      @stevanhinckle3837 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The issue appeared to be a bent contact on the rail which was causing a communication error from the rail to the chair. The tech straightened out the contact and cleaned them all. No issues with the chair nor swiveling now. I used American Mobility from Fredericksburg Virginia and the Senior Techs name was Alex.

    My chair was left off the charging contacts for months. Now it won't go up but at an inch at a time. I tried charging the battery but I get a constant red light and a flashing yellow and green light at time. Plus I get 3 short beeps followed by 2 long beeps. I also have the L3 and L8 and C1 (this one for charging) lights under the seat cycling. Any help?

      2 things might be happening. 1 Charger is not working. 2 the charger is not connected to the rail properly.

    Any idea why these things constantly beep when the seat is rotated? I get why they can't be moved, but why not let me park it rotated and ready for the next use?

    • @Lifeway-Gamburd
      @Lifeway-Gamburd  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, if there are two people in the house and both use the lift. The chair should always be rotated so that the person on the opposite end can call it down. However there is a way to make it into a single user mode which would eliminate the beeps.

    • @Lifeway-Gamburd
      @Lifeway-Gamburd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The chair is designed for multiple users. When the chair is at the swivel position at the top, the chair should beep. Its normal. Its asking to be put back in the riding position to allow another user to call the unit back down using a remote. If you only have one user in the house. There is a dip switch that can turn the beep off. Check this page for some helpful tips: www.gamburd.com/repair

    My chair will go up with the arm command but not down. The remote works with both up and down motions. I since have replaced the arm switch, but this did not resolve the issues. Any suggestions will be helpful.

    • @Lifeway-Gamburd
      @Lifeway-Gamburd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the harness (the wire to the switch) most likely.

    How long should the charger take to fully charge? I unplugged the charger about a year ago because it wasn’t in use. After being plugged in for 24 hours today, it’s still only showing a solid red light, and none of the other suggestions in the video worked in my case.

    Our chair has been taken down for a while and it wasn't stopped on the charging contacts. We are trying to put the chair back up now but it's dead and we can't get a charge because it's not on the charging contacts. What do we do in this situation?

      @@suecole3500 What brand of chair do you have? I have a Bruno 2010 and there is a round hole with a cover over it, on the left or right side of the chair depending which side of the steps your chair is on, right below the seat straight in that hole is a nut that is connected to the drive motor, use a ratchet and socket (can't remember the size ) Turn (crank) right for up and left for down to return the chair to the docking/charging point. It will take a lot of turning to get it to that point. Hope this helps. :)

    The beeping is truly aggravating and happens if anything is located too close to it, such as objects in a porch. I don't know why they put this aggravating feature in there because it's truly not necessary.. It should at least have been made easy to shut off. I don't think that's possible without ripping out specific wires but I wouldn't know which.

    • @Lifeway-Gamburd
      @Lifeway-Gamburd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      J Pol there is an off switch. The beeping let’s you know something is wrong with the unit.

    • @Lifeway-Gamburd
      @Lifeway-Gamburd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The beep is letting you know that something is wrong with the chair. Every sequence of beeping means something different. Here is a link to a page that shows them all and explains what the issue maybe: @t

    My chair beeps at the top and bottom of the stairs . It beep a few times then waits a few minutes and does it again. I was told to push the battery reset button but I don’t know where it is or what it looks like. Got any ideas?
