    Would the colors be different when used on Brass?

      Only slightly different, they should be very similar in color between brass, bronze, and copper.

    whats the best way to apply tiffany green to a bronze B coated piece? I tried some over the weekend and the effect wasn't great and it turned black in most areas. thanks

      @@sculptnouveau Im in Australia :) yes, I did 1 coat of base bronze B and let cure over night, then another light coat of bronze B and dried with a hair drier until it was touch dry and applied the Tiffany Green with a brush and let it sit overnight.

      @@vfxforge So it sounds like the Metal Coating was dry when the Tiffany Green was applied. For best results, apply the Tiffany Green to the Metal Coating while it is still wet. Do not dry the Bronze B before applying the patina.

    Would this finish be considered safe for a bird bath or is it a chemical coating?

    • @sculptnouveau
      @sculptnouveau  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is a chemical reaction, much like copper would turn naturally but by using a patina, we force it into a specific color. You would need to use a good clear coat to ensure longevity if that is the route you want to go.

    Anything to produce a really dark green?

    • @sculptnouveau
      @sculptnouveau  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jade Green is the darkest of the three but you can always add a Patina Stain over the top to help push it darker. You can also add a base patina that will help all three of these develop into a darker tone.

    Are there any blues or greens that work on steel ?

    • @sculptnouveau
      @sculptnouveau  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not in the Traditional category. You can use Smart Stains like we used on this aluminum piece: th-cam.com/video/RvPNfpQdBPs/w-d-xo.html or you can use the Metal Coatings which is the more popular choice: th-cam.com/video/6XtGCSJkmeo/w-d-xo.html

      @@brandoncassidy807 It should be able to work that way. Just do a test first since we cant speak for compatibility of all engine clear coats.
