I have said this on other posts with the song that it is a beautiful worship song and should be sung year round, not just at Christmas.
When you kissed your little baby, you kissed the face of God. Gets to me every time
In 2015 on Christmas night at around 10:45 pm I took up my relationship with God while listening to this song. I haven't stopped searching for more of God. He is my reason!
It is the most beautiful song. Thank you Lord for having Mark write this song and the music all is beautiful❤
Mark Lowry your song touches my heart so deeply, nobody can sing it the way you do, but the tenderness, compassion in the song only you can sing it that way. Thank you and God bless RSA.
Mark Lowry is one-in-a-million hit "wonder"......... his words & music will live on for eternity!
We sang this song in a concert one time, & I was fine during all the rehearsals, but when it came concert time, I couldn't sing it.. all I could do is cry! WHAT A SONG! "This child that you delivered, will soon deliver you!" "When you kiss your little baby you kiss the face of God!" "That sleeping child you're holding is the great, I AM!" Three of the best lyrics! Tugged at this Mama's heart strings to the point of being speechless with tears & chills!
Gives me chills and tears every time I hear it. Thank you thank you. It is a beautiful testament to our Savior.
The first time I heard it, I was driving to work. I thought it was a lovely song, and enjoy the lyrics but at the end I started crying and nearly drove off the road. He is the Great "I AM!' nothing can top that.
I cannot sing this song in public as a solo because I can't separate myself from the words. I choke up every time! Lol ❤️
Greatest Christmas Carol written during my lifetime.
This is my FAVORITE Christian & Christmas Song Ever!
My husband and I love listening to Mark Lowry. He shares truth in the best ways. Thank you for the 2 chats you did with him. You are both a blessing.
I'm the pastor of a church for deaf people. Several times at Christmas I've interpreted this song for them and they love it.
This is my favorite Christmas song. It made me cry the first time I heard it, and it still does. Thank you so much for writing this song. What a blessing.
Kirk I'm so grateful you took the path that you took. God bless you.
Mark, This past Christmas Eve ( 2 days ago) I took my neighbor who is a Muslim to my Christian church Shepherd in Porter Ranch Ca for the first time., when Mary did you know played she cried and couldn’t stop she was truly moved . Afterwards she asked me if she could come back with me next week. I think you have made a bigger impact through your song than you know. God bless you for leaving such a strong mark on the world. Thank you.
Mark’s “Just Whenever” goes live “just whenever he feels like it” and it is so amazing to participate with!! He is such a blessing in my life!! I try to catch every live but if I can’t make it, I can watch the replay! At age 69 I grew up singing hymns in church & it’s unbelievable how many I remember not only the tune but also the words for probably well over 50 hymns! I also love Contemporary Christian Worship music too because I was young enough still during the beginnings of worship music in Southern California at Calvary Church Costa to be part of that as well. God has always used music in my life to reach my heart for Him!! I’m so grateful to Mark Lowry for all he has done through his channel!! ❤😊❤
Oh my gosh that man is so humble and has every right not to be. That is a beautiful song. He also gave credit where it was due with the music behind it. He is also so funny. You sir truly have left a beautiful legacy in this world not just with a song but by being an example of character traits that God has asked of us. Kirk thank you for interviewing him it definitely was directed by God to do so.
My favorite version is the one Mark sang with Voctave. It's stupendous! Amazing vocally. It's an amazing testimonial because it's sung tenderly, lovingly.
