My little sister bought a Belinda because of you and insists on saying, "Belinda! _I'm coming!"_ Every time she puts it on. It's nice to have a chuckle in the mornings. The banana is 'experienced' because a fresh one doesn't work, it needs to be a more over-ripe. She explains that in the video too ❤
I have noticed a big difference in how I view clothing since I've begun watching your videos! You make fashion so much fun! Now I look for things in the thrift stores that I never would have thought to look for before--like sparkly old jackets with the padded shoulders! 😆
I threw an absolute FIT in the '90s, begging my dad to let me wear my jelly sandals to the beach. he finally relented and we all headed out. he had to carry me to a towel bc the Florida sun had made the sand so hot that my sandals started melting lmaoooo. I cried for so long over my little melted shoes until my mom distracted me with sea shells.
Oh yeah, our sun doesn't play here. Don't put plastic against the sand in FL unless it's INTENDED for sand like buckets and shovels. Especially on your feet. I'm so sorry for the loss of your jelly shoes!

Yes, the FL sun does not play well with jelly sandals. That is why we wear flip flops. Jelly, no. Rubber, yes.

@Duifjaah - I have a fan that is 11" long, brought from Japan as a gift. That thing really moves the air! I love it.
When I saw you in your black hat that matched your bathing suit I got a warm fuzzy feeling that translated to something like “Oh lovely to see Andrea’s unique style coming through, she look’s beautiful.”

Agreed, but I would also choose white for the beach. A black hat will get unnecessarily hot in the sun. Not good. Practicality before making a fashion statement in this case, I'd say. Especially since the white works quite well, too.

The black hat is quite fashionable, true. And while is also often true that one sometimes has to suffer for fashion, one also must be realistic --That is the black will absorb too much heat and cook the brain.
Do not cook the brain. its not tasty like funnel cake is.

I love Andrea, I wish I had had someone like her to help me when I was younger. I was always afraid to be myself cuz my grandma was kinda judgy

Please Andrea: Tell Belinda that even if she already has natural melanin, it doesn' t make her inmune to potential UV damage. Make sure she reapplies sunscreen properly. We want her to live a long healthy life! 🧛🏻♀️🖤
Check the ingredients in sunscreen if it contains benzoin benzoate then its a no no as that gives you cancer.
Best to use coconut oil or olive oil.
@sebumpostmortem2411 - So very TRUE! A dark complexion is no guarantee against sunburn, skin aging, or even skin cancer. Use that sunscreen even if you are dark skinned!!!!

Crocs makes AMAZINGG strappy cute women’s shoes that don’t look at all like crocs and I wear in the water all the time! No weird smell either when you get them bc crocs doesn’t roll that way! I’ve had mine for over 3+ years and they’re so versatile!
Ooo the pants with the bathing suit looked so nice! Would love to see that black sun hat on that fit.

I feel like I am on display when I walk across the beach in a bathing suit, even with a cover up. I see that I just need to go longer with a duster! You look fabulous!😊❤
@bethw4815 - I know what you mean, but realize that with ALL THOSE OTHER bathing suit-wearers on the beach, or at the pool, you are just one of many. Honestly, nobody is attending to you at all. Do what makes you feel comfortable, but there's no need to feel like you are in a walking spotlight. Breathe in, breathe out, and feel like you belong. ^_^
I love the outfit. I think though, that a good substitute for jelly shoes is water shoes. They allow you to walk safely on the sand and you wear them straight into the water if you decide to get in. I have a pair I keep for working in the rain since rain boots are too narrow for my calves. Thank you for always sharing your amazing sense of style Andrea.
I really love the smell of those shoes... takes me back to summer break in the 90's when life was good!
I would really love to see some philosopher-inspired outfits. Which I'm sure said philosophers would find ridiculous and pointless, but that's half the fun. What is fashion if not the externalization of our interior self, mediated through design, color, and various sartorial choices? (Though you know Nietzsche would have been into it, for sure.)

lol born in 1990 and jelly shoes were the thing for kids at the beach. Now, i can't look at them seriously... but on you Andrea everything looks so good.
As an unredeemed gothic, I don' t go to the beach since the Soviet Union was ruled by Andrey Gromiko but I would make the effort just to spend the day reading in absolute silence over-titivated with the most delirious outfit ever. I'm goth, and I just wear super-modest suits. Washing my face with vitamin C helps reduce the freckling (which is inevitable--my arms are COVERED).

Chacós are great beach/river shoes because they can get wet, they stay on your feet without flopping around, they have better grip than most flip flops/sandals AND you can protect the bottoms of your feet from sharp rocks, broken glass or anything else you could come in contact with

I’d agree with everything apart from the jellyshoes - every time you get sand in them you have to stop & take them off to get it out. Flipflops - you just have to flap flap and the sand is gone 👍
This is like 10 years ago but I once wore jelly shoes to the beach, and man they hurt!! Every grain of sand would get stuck under the intricate design, then rub against and irritate my skin. And then there was the really weird tan line. Not good.
Although I am 74 yrs old and my body is well past the expiration date for your fashion style, I love it anyway and especially love watching your videos.

Here is where I am: I am a guy who could not care less about what I or anybody wear to the beach. I don't care about any of the outfits or clothing advise she offers. If I have to wear clothes, I just grab something that doesn't actively stink. That's all I care about.
But I CAN'T STOP WATCHING. Andrea is amazing. And I don't even understand why. It's like potato chips. I just want one more.
Where I live men bring a chair, good anti glare sunglasses,bucket,umbrella, rod, net, knife and a lot of hope. It’s a no alcohol allowed beach. When the pelicans are flying low the guys are there.

I found the high-sole flippers work good for me. Your step is more solid in the sand, and it doesn't fly everywhere, plus you got protection from the heat.

I would advise against using jelly shoes during a really hot day. I recently used sandals that had some plastic film covering the top. The film snapped off so i had to walk with a broken sandal 😂

My grown up daughter just introduced me to your channel after she had helped me sort through me wardrobe a few days ago.

You may also consider water shoes if your beach has a lot of reefs or sharp pokey things living in the water. Laying in the sun is fun, but there is an entire world under the water that you just don't see from your beach towel.
