I just found this game a few weeks back, I’m impressed by the level of detail and how fun it’s been. Glad to have found it, it’s really scratched my itch for a naval combat game since world of warships is being killed by its devs. You’re older ships comparison videos have helped me learn my way around the 5th rates
Haha same for me bro! I played WoWs since July last year. But after all the latest shenanigans, I wanted to play a new naval game and luckily I saw Naval Action on sale in Steam so here I'm now. Watching GrunfWorks vids as well hehe.
@@loadtheskillrounds4167 the game was fine for me but after the commander reworks it killed the game for me. And I think complains by WoWs player is acceptable due to the fact they made the commander skills more grindy without giving a better gameplay at the end.

Excellent video, you clearly have more combat experience then I did when I did the exam, I ran down wind and turned slightly and fired then turned back to avoid being fired at, lather rinse and repeat. It took me forever though. Have you found a clan yet? TTO is a good bunch of guys who are very active and always doing battle groups

I read an answer in a forum: (You have to complete certain task as shown in the mission. You have to hit the hull and sails of enemy ships and kill some crew. After that you will be able to visit a port). Bye and thank you
Ok good i guess then a tutorial is automaticslly started for you. I joined at alpha and then there was none of that so i wouldnt know sorry. ;-). After you play it let me know how u like it. However pay good attention to moving sails when turning. It does go to muscle memory quite fast though ;-)
When you first start the game it puts you into a combat situation, the AI don’t do much though and are not that dangerous, they just sail straight in a line. You want to just go over to the enemy ships with red lettering above them and shoot them up until you have achieved as much damage as it requires. Then you can sail into port. It caught me off guard when I first started too because there is no explanation or control familiarization ahead of time
Recently bought the game, and just finished the exam. I'm not sure what to do next though. I really don't know what to do first, can you give any details on this?
There's a huge demand for PvE in most online games these days. People are fed up with PvP. They just want to enjoy the game without having trolls pissing them off.Games like this and War Thunder are amazing but nobody wants the toxicity that comes with PvP. The problem is that PvE AI doesn't provide much of a challenge. I'm sure one day AI will perform better than humans, but we're not there yet.
Is there a reason everyone seems to be swapping to the PvE server? Im just restarting out in NA and dont wanna get too invested on the PvP server if its dying.
I was enjoying both PvP and PvE, on the PvP server, and liked both port battles and Missions, but as of last wipe i did not have time to play as much meaning i was able to only grind my XP to Flag Captain, and every time i was coming back with my shot-up Trinco from SDC i would get ganked by guys usually in higher tier ships and sailing with fleets. That along with the initial grind and lack of time killed the PvP server for me. Given I dont have time and dont care about open world, NA Legends were ideal for me. I loved the ALPHA when there was no special woods, or any woods in general so all ships were created equal, then it came down to captain skill to win the day, not an uber ship. I still enjoy NA, just not as much as initially sadly
@@GrunfWorks i had the biggest bull in my life my ship sunk even tho i didnt take any leaks and my hp armor was still good yet i blew every inch of hp out the enemy ai and he didnt sink????? stern bow port and starboard he had nothing left.

I came from world of tanks lol, it seems to me though in every game the players complain about the devs

You have to select server and nation first, but then you should start eith starter cutter in port

It’s closer then you think
For me the final Exam was pretty easy :) I demasted the Ships first and then i killed them one by one and got nearly no dmg from them :D

Online players are increasing on PVP, so I dont see any sign of it dying. And pvp are like 90% of the fun in this game, why would anyone go PVE?

Get into an active clan and sail with some friends and the gankers wont really be a problem anymore :)

Probably tried the final exam dozens of times. Still can't manage to beat it.
Key is dont fight both st the same time. Divide and conquer.
