I had my first battle in a HMS Trincomalee yesterday with 5 people in my clan on PvE. Its great fun battling with others rather than against other players. Thanks for this demonstration it really shows what the Trinc is capable of.

Surprise as far as i recall was actually a french corvette Unité which was ”upgraded” to frigate classification in Royal Navy. Corvette would better fit her role
FPM is a large clan, I think many of the GB clans are all on each other’s friends list. I have played a lot of PVP games in my day but with NA I am happier on the PVE server, I like trading and developing crafting. I feel like on PVP I would spend too much time losing things to the bottom of the sea and the grind in the game is already extremely long.

What wood is good for this ship? I have it as a redeemable and I have no idea what to put.
It’s a matter of pesonal preference but I like Mahogny with Bermuda Cedar planking. A decent mix of speed and agility eith little extra armor.

Also a mast broadside is only good against much smaller ships and when you are close, behind them, Carronades eat through masts so easily.

Night-time, and sadly terribly unreliable, so i am rarely on these days. If/when i join, just ping me ingame
