And I think even Ron kinda comes around to that by the end of the show. It's impressive Ron wasn't sent to jail(I know it's TV, just go with it). The mother is extremely reasonable for going to Ron, and not just going to the police about the mine. However, Ron can 100% defend his lessons and eating her lunch, since eating the lunch was part of his lessons

This is, maybe, unintentionally a fantastic example of how stupid people can be 😂 Lauren’s mom didn’t question a 4th grader writing about why the government matters. But she’s upset that said 4th grader actually learned something regarding the same subject matter that goes against the grain 🤣 If you’re cool with kids being taught about government and being able to decide that it matters you can’t turn around and be upset when they decide it doesn’t matter, ma’am.

Most likely it isn't that the girl told on him. She must have defended her teachings when her paper came out and told her mother how Ron taught her. So, in this view, her mother's outrage was kind of unnecessary, but oh well, understandable. She was just a normal every day adult, she couldn't understand Ron's "metaphore".

One of very, very few times on this show where a citizen of Pawnee actually made sense and had a legitimate complaint that wasn't entitled or just downright stupid nonsense.
I understand what Ron was trying to do, but that mother had every right to be pissed at him for what he told Lauren to do, for taking most of her lunch and especially the land mine. It was hilarious, sure, but that mom had a legit right to complain about how that's not appropriate for her kid.

    • @KurtL1776

John Locke (; 29 August 1632 - 28 October 1704) was an English philosopher and physician, widely regarded as one of the most influential of Enlightenment thinkers and commonly known as the "Father of Liberalism". Considered one of the first of the British empiricists, following the tradition of Sir Francis Bacon, he is equally important to social contract theory. His work greatly affected the development of epistemology and political philosophy. His writings influenced Voltaire and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, many Scottish Enlightenment thinkers, as well as the American revolutionaries. His contributions to classical republicanism and liberal theory are reflected in the United States Declaration of Independence.
