Thanks, i just installed a deye inverter and had trouble making it draw from the battery at night. Deye should've put a simpler setting on the menu, e.g. when there is no sun and no pv input, to simply pass on battery and after it goes to low battery to go on the grid again. Of course Time of Use is useful in different scenarios, but a simpler setting could be also great for most users
I find the TOU settings extremely helpful once you understand them. I have change my approach a lot since I started a year ago. To many guys don't really understand how to use the TOU effectively,. That is why try to help with this video.
Weird for me to imagine an inverter without a battery, but yes, the TOU setting will then not be needed. It is used for the switch between grid and battery (or generator) I assume you only run on solar & grid. Load 1st would be the setting to tick.
Thanks for the vid......can you please explain why TOU time slot 1 should be 00:00 and TOU time slot 6 should be 00:00. I understand that it's a 24 hour period and this is logical. I've had friends set this up differently......Time slot 1 17:00 hours and worked through the 24 hour period to end with 17:00 at time slot 6. Is this not recommended? TIA

Hi friend, will the batteries discharge if TOU don't checked/tick✅️ ??
No, they won't.....I tried this myself
If i dont have battery, this time of use i need to tick or not?

Just a recommendation by so many who have had issues if not set that way
